Trash Vendor, with expensive Trash parts.
If I could leave a -0 review, trust me, I would. Long review here, but I am writing this to help you make a better decision when attempting to purchase from this vendor. here goes. On 3/26/24, I contacted the vendor (CraftAutoParts.com) by phone, and spoke with a representative Alan L., for an auto part for my vehicle. After speaking with the representative, I was told that the part would be a brand-new part and should not have any issues, the representative re- assured me before the purchase. I proceeded with the purchase for the item for my vehicle (Rear Differential) from the vendor Craft Auto Parts (High Springs City Boys) on 3/26/24 in the amount of $1,426.00. The part was delivered on (3/30/24).
Although looked new, the Part was placed on my vehicle; however, the part was determined to be defective and did not work. On Tuesday (4/2/24), I contacted the vendor (Craft Auto Parts) representative Alan L. by phone to inform him that the part did not work. Alan then re-assured me that a return label will be sent after 24 hours. While in between, he mentioned they were working on a replacement part. After the 24-hour time-frame had elapsed, date being Wednesday, (4/3/24), I contacted the vendor by phone, and Alan again re-assured me that the company was “working on it, to generate a return label and initiate a replacement part and it takes sometime so keep patient”.
I responded, “I am being patient, but the replacement part needs to be checked for accuracy and for malfunctioning and that this was a terrible inconvenience, and that I didn’t want to keep dealing with parts that are not working. Then Alan provided a “concise response” by saying “Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’re prioritizing a thorough check on the replacement part to ensure its accuracy and functionality. Rest Assured were committed to resolving this inconvenience for your promptly”. Again, I trusted that Alan would do the right thing by the consumer and proceed with providing customer service and the replacement part for which I had already paid & return label.
On Thursday, April 4th, Alan was contacted again. The message that was received now said the following, “ it’s in the line- up we’re checking the malfunction issue for the damaged part and meanwhile getting ready the other one for replacement. Also, a return label so kindly co-operate let the quality department work.”
However, but this time a return label still hasn’t been sent to me nor have I sent the returned part due to not having the returned label that was said to be sent after 24 hours. I then questioned Alan, “how are you all checking the malfunctioning part when I still have the part?" Response from Alan, “We are checking the malfunction as an issue if is possible to happen with the following part or not. And meanwhile proceeding with replacement part as well. So kindly wait and let us take our time”. I then messaged, “I am trying to wait patiently, please keep me informed regularly throughout this processed. Time is of the essence”
April 5th, No update from Alan. Attempted to contact him by phone, No answer, no return call. However, a text message was received afterwards. It said the following, “I will reach out to the office and check the status”. After this message, I had enough of the promises, and no corrective actions on the company’s behalf while my vehicle was still not fixed from me purchasing a part that I thought I purchased from a reputable company. I responded, “I’m tired of the lies, and that I need my full refund.’
Alan then responded, “Now I’m not gonna give you a single reply, just send you the return label, and that there are no refunds. Thanks”
After the last communication with Alan, I was then in contact with a new representative from the vendor, and we messaged about the refund process. I was told over and over to cancel the dispute with my bank by them, but at this point I had/have no trust or credit worthiness with this company and kept my dispute open with my bank. Since then, there was some communication back and forth, two months later after getting BBB involved, a resolution for me was a partial refund 1069.00 but I paid full total amount of ($1,426.00). because I’d sent back their part over a month ago, I requested a full refund several times, and I was told by the vendor that my money was stuck with the bank. There were inconsistent stories and no real truths given to me from this merchant. The auto part was deemed defective and did not work for my vehicle and that is the reason it was sent back, thus why I was seeking a full refund especially after they had their part in their possession since middle of April of 2024. In the end, I loss time, and money dealing with this vendor. Although, the company communicated, we received run-arounds. Buyer PLEASE BEWARE!! BBB was a life saver!
