Dreadful Courier letting down your good company standing and losing you loyal Customers
As a long standing customer of Cotton Traders for over 30 years, I have always held the company in very high regard for the Quality, Cut, Range and Fair Pricing of their garments. And this is always backed by first class professional support from the Cotton Traders staff. However, having homes in both the Midlands and Devon, I have always bought direct in-store from their Outlets and Branches (Nottinham, Oakham, Bideford, etc) and have never been disappointed once.
At 67 I am now slightly less mobile and recently set up an Online Account for the first time. I have since placed two orders:
The first for items on 'Next Day' Delivery (needed for my Son's birthday), these arrived Two Day's Late, with no explanation from EVRI? Just update for day's saying "we've got your parcel", not particularly helpful.
So, we had nothing to give him on his birthday!
The second was ordered specially on a 'Named Day' Delvery, and this was critical because we were heading back to our other home in the Midlands a couple of days later and we needed to take them back with us for going on holiday.
These items arrived Three Day's Late (and after we'd left the property)!
Luckily they were safely taken in by a friend, but we will not have them now til we go back down in couple of month's, absolutely appalling!
Again no explanation from EVRI (although I did request a call back, which never happened) so unprofessional.
They are so arrogant, you can't even say something hasn't arrived or missing 'til after 5 to7 days, which is crazy for special delivery items (Next Day or Named Day), disgraceful service by this Courier. They may have changed their name from Hermes but they haven't changed?
In fairness to Cotton Traders, they reimbursed the postage, but that really isn't the point. People (loyal customers) choose these priority services and pay extra for them for specific reasons and needs when the reality seems to be that EVRI doesn't give any priority to them in my experience.
I will be closing my account with Cotton Traders after just orders (but 100% dramatic failure). The reason being is that whilst they were helpful, when I raised this the only response was a) We give you refund, but can't chase it up as missing for 5 or 7 days either?
And when I questioned why they use them if they consistently give bad service to your customers? The response was: b) Well this is the Courier we use sir? Not Learning!
Well if you don't care about maintaining the good reputation of your long-standing UK business and continue to use this courier, I'm afraid I will not be using Cotton Traders anymore either in branch or online. They are 'Undermining Your Standards' in my opinion.
The point here, is to ensure that the Services being marketed on the CT site, are the Services actually being provided to your customer base.

If you standardised it would be much better for on line orders where you have a much bigger selection. As it is the cost of postage and bother of returns puts me off ordering again
