Very poor service with sandals order
On Wednesday 22 July 2026 I placed an order on-line with Cotton traders for sandals (CT13328153). There was slight confusion on their web site and I ended up ordering three pairs but knew it was possible to return two of them when I went to collect. This order was for Click & Collect at the local store.
In their response-email to my order (sent the same day as the order) they said “We’re busy packing your parcel and we’ll be in touch by email as soon as it’s on its way to you” which seems to infer a matter of days not weeks for the sandals to arrive.
On 21 August (well over 4 weeks since the original order) I queried progress and was told “this item should have shown a due in date of 2-4 weeks on our website”. Note that ‘due in’ is their jargon for the item to arrive at the store ready for collection. So, by then it was well beyond the maximum 4 weeks they claim.
Also I am told “sandals will be in store on their next delivery day”. But surely Cotton Traders should know when that delivery day will be and could tell me. They do not.
Am also told “You can check the status of this order by logging in to our website and visiting Order History in the My Account pages”. If I do that the response is ‘Being Processed’ which is totally useless and tells me nothing useful.
It is now 5 weeks since the original order was placed and I still have heard nothing useful from Cotton Traders.
In an email to me Cotton Traders invite a Trustpilot report, so this is it – not that they would like it.
Cotton Traders rate highly on Trustpilot. That may be for clothing but my experience with the sandals is dire, hence the one star, and I will not be using Cotton Traders at any time in the future. For anyone reading this, I leave you to draw your own conclusions.

I'd always overlooked cotton traders for some reason despite the fact that they sell good 100% cotton garments--which is how I finally paid attention after a google search and ordered x2 very comfortable, pretty, and reasonably-priced short sleeved nightdresses (with broderie anglaise detail at top yoke). These were perfect for hot weather! I'll now be back to search for other items.

Excellent quality always
I love the quality of Cotton Traders merchandise in these days of cheap, thin material used by other brands. The descriptions are always accurate as well as the pictures and their sizing. Orders are despatched very promptly, and emails sent to update me on their progress. Excellent delivery time from date of order to its delivery. Orders are always carefully and securely packaged. Highly recommended!
