Both Accountancy and Payroll provide a professional, prompt and “no-nonsense” service. I get what is required, on time and without being overburdened with anything unnecessary. I find FreeAgent and the payroll software easy to use, reliable and hassle free.

I recommend the Competex accountancy & payroll service. When I set up as a consultant in international development in 2003 I came across Competex through my career advisory service. My advisor said she had never heard anyone complain about the service of Competex, the only problem was that they were a bit expensive. That remains my view 19 years later. It is a huge help not to have to worry about the complex and ever-changing world of company tax and reporting. Competex does that for me and is very patient in sorting out the problems I cause through errors in using Free Agent. The service is well worth what Competex costs me. The Free Agent and BrightPay software took a bit of getting used to but I now find them helpful. I do not remember any error caused by Competex and I continue to be a very satisfied customer.

The Competex services are efficient, professional and delivered by friendly staff. The fee is a fair price for the level of service offered. I run a fairly simple business model, but the team have been very helpful if I’ve needed support and appear very knowledgeable about their subject areas. I’ve no experience of other accountants, but have never felt the need to consider others either!
