We have been visiting Bantham for…
We have been visiting Bantham for years, it’s the perfect getaway for a young family. So we know what to expect. How wrong we were! 1 Avonside has raised the bar again. Delightful accommodation, new, fresh, perfectly furnished, quick Wi-Fi and views to die for close to the beach, shop and pub. Thank you for a fantastic stay we will certainly be back for more :)

Lovely setting
Lovely setting, cooking equipment basic but enough for what we needed. Within walking distance of Bantham Village, have to say our stay for 1 week was very comfortable. Lucky with the weather, it was lovely sitting outside. Hosts very friendly & helpful.

There were a couple of points raised for the cottage owners to deal with but Coastal Quay have been fabulous.

Highly Recommend Compass Quay
We had such a lovely stay at The Moorings. Everything was comfortable and warm. The view is phenomenal.
The only downside is the kitchen is very snug for 6. If you like cooking like we do, bear that in mind.
Bonnie from Compass Quay was fantastic to deal with and nothing was too much trouble.

Our first stay with Compass Quay at Coach House altho' we have stayed in Hope Cove many times. The house suited us perfectly, comfortable beds and everything you could need in the kitchen, as well as ideal position close to family [who had also booked via you!]. Will book again! Island view
Me and my wife stayed at Island view, part of the White Horses in Bantham. Bonnie at Compass was a great help to us prior and during our stay.
The property was large and in the main well furnished. A very comfortable bed, good water pressure and fantastic views to die for.
There were a couple of areas that could be improved, apart from the bathroom there was no other mirror in the property, something my wife had issues with as she could not use the bathroom mirror to do her hair as no socket in bathroom.
The kitchen was also lacking, no microwave, not a deal breaker but would have been useful. No teaspoons, but did have set of chopsticks!
Also only one very large frying pan and saucepan, nothing smaller which would have been useful for us.
Despite these very minor issues, which I have only raised to provide some feedback which may be of help, I would not hesitate to recommend this property or Compass Quay, and we will be using them again for future visits to Devon.
