New door mats
Eventually found a supplier of proper front/back door mats and ones that offer no backing on them (as they make them waterlogged).
They are beautifully made and look fabulous.

From ordering to delivery this order was dispatched with competence. Both ordered coir doormats will sit outside, under shelter, and have enhanced the two doorways. (They look so pristine I barely dare wipe my feet!)
I made an error in not ordering one with a rubber backing to help it stop “walking”, the other fits into the lower recesses of the door jamb so stays where it was put.
Overall I’m very satisfied with these mats.

With regard to movement, you’re quite right that a rubber backing can help where a mat is laid directly onto stone or tile. We’re always happy to advise on the most suitable option, should you need any guidance in future.

Smart traditional mat
It's a treat to discover that these traditional coir mats are still available in natural materials. Very robust and smart - they do their job well.
First time around, the wrong size mat was sent, but the response at Coir was not only an immediate and individual apology, but the correctly sized mat appeared within three days!

A good quality product
A good quality product, which arrived on time and was well packaged. It works well and it looks smart.
It replaces one that was in good condition after 13 years but someone had trodden in something smelly and we were never going to get rid of that smell.
I've guessed the date because I don't remember, just that it was in the run up to Christmas. Thank you.
