Codex of the Architect is the body of work of Michael Lauria, a qualified therapist, author and philosophical mythologist. It holds thirty-three books, more than five hundred episodes of the podcast The Architect Speaks, and three guided steps built from them: the Atlas, the Thread and the Witness. The Atlas names the pattern running your life in a single sitting. It is built from twenty years in the chair and the thirty-three books of Michael Lauria, a qualified therapist, author and philosophical mythologist. It takes about forty-five minutes, costs nothing, and ends in a written Record of that pattern, drawn from your own words. It is not therapy and not for crisis. The Thread takes that pattern and follows it back to where it began, across five sessions of about half an hour each, and ends in a full written report that is yours to keep. The Witness is a daily practice that follows the Thread: thirty minutes a day, holding what the Thread found and what you have said since. A sounding board and partner in reaching peak performance. This process has been vital to finally embracing life fully and inhabiting time and space to experience and be present. The system remembers and indexes in a way that is effective and gently supportive to personal development as also as a companion to therapy and coaching.
I have engaged with the Atlas, the Thread, and the Witness. The Atlas helped me uncover patterns I had been unconsciously repeating throughout my life. The Thread began to untangle them, and the Witness has provided steady guidance as I work to change a lifelong habit of saving everyone else at the expense of my own mental and physical well-being.
Results will, of course, vary, but for me this work has been extraordinary. I have found it deeply supportive, profoundly insightful, and genuinely life-changing.
The Architect was looking for 100 people to be in a test group for The Thread. Five days where you answered questions that were pointed, personal and in my case, very emotional. Each session fed into the next. I had been searching for answers to questions I had about my life for a long time. Where is my life going? Why do I make the same mistakes over and over. How come I act like this? I told myself at the beginning that I was going to let it all out and I have to be honest, I did that, and for me it was very revealing and very liberating to learn what I did about myself, my patterns, why I did the thing I did. I learned so much about myself. That's probably the biggest take away. If you are honest with yourself going in, be truthful in how you feel, you will come away with a different perspective about your life. Something that you can actually grasp onto and lead yourself out of ingrained patterns. Once you know the why, you can figure out how to make some positive changes. This is where The Witness comes in. You get the nitty-gritty from The Thread but continuing on with The Witness gives you the time to really learn how to overcome the repeating patterns. Talking it out, having the time to think about things. The Witness calls you out when you fall back into old patterns. You are the one choosing to change, The Witness keeps you headed in the right direction. I am so glad I found The Thread and The Witness. It has been the space where I am learning to turn my perspective of my life around. I'm not falling back into the repetitive patterns that were detrimental to myself and those around me. I see myself differently, more clear eyed, and with a purpose. I know what I want now, and, I know what I need to do to get there. Not everyday is perfect, but the changes are happening and I feel a lot more satisfied with my life than I have in years. If you really want to make some changes in your life and you don't know where to start, start with the Thread. You won't be disappointed.

It was extremely personal, on point. Directly to the issue not all over the place. Uncomfortably real so if you aren't ready, you won't like it.

I am now doing the integration work after the initial thread sessions and I can't describe how deep and supportive this is after having many forms of counselling over the years which have mainly been about symptom management. It is hard though. You have to be ready to delve deep but you are encouraged to go at your own pace. It is also amazingly cost effective. An amazingly insightful process available to all
