The service at this company is second to none. I had a few gitches along the way and the support I recieved has been nothing short of exemplary.
All issues are solved with a smile.
The product is an amazing innovation and the subsound technology works amazingly well. I have one Cocoon set up on the main floor of our 3,400 square foot house (plus a 1,600 square foot basement), thats 5,000 square feet and my Cocoon catches everything, its really quite amazing.
They constantly update both the device and app to offer better accuracy, efficiency and options.
What else can you ask for?
In my opinion this little ball of high tech out performs most much higher priced options and is easily the best value for your piece of mind.
I could not recommend this product more highly if it was my own company.

Some crucial features just don't exist
No support for 5GHz. No backup power. No backup connectivity (3g/LATE). The device could really use Bluetooth instead of sound for check or control. The video is low quality. No way to film and store.
It's an expensive toy. The design is good though.

We designed Cocoon to use a 2.4GHz Wifi network because it has a greater range to cover a whole home, giving Cocoon owners more flexibility on location.
For our first generation Cocoon, backup power and data connectivity was not something we could integrate, but it is something that we have on our wishlist as an option for the future. The vast majority of burglaries are opportunistic with the intruder very unlikely to disable power or WiFi.
We chose not to use Bluetooth primarily for security reasons, which is at the heart of everything that we do at Cocoon. To keep your Cocoon household data totally safe we use the unique audio pairing at setup to establish the secure link with your smartphone, and all further communication is end-to-end encrypted via our secure servers.
We'd expect video quality to be high considering the 1080p HD camera and H.264 HD video. Depending on home network speeds, Cocoon will vary the upload speeds to ensure a constant stream. We're currently working on the feature to be able to record when viewing a live stream. So if you're ever just checking in on your home and you see something untoward, you will be able to save the video.
We set out with the goal of providing a whole home security solution, and we're really proud to have done just that. We're not able to provide detailed information at the moment as the cases are still ongoing, but Cocoon has been instrumental in providing customers with the necessary footage to aid police investigations when they've unfortunately been burgled. We hope to be able to share these stories once criminal proceedings have concluded, so watch this space.

Multi-Cocoon is on its way. We've listened to our customers and we're busy making this happen. It will be available as a free software update to all Cocoons so please keep an eye out for our newsletter updates so you know when it rolls out.
External sirens and cameras is a great idea, which we're always on the look out for. We set out to disrupt the outdated notion of sirens blaring and going ignored in favour of smart notifications, but we're driven by our fans, so if this is something that gathers support, we can act on it.
With the ability to add and remove users easily, if you know you're going to be travelling without WiFi or data, you can simply ask a friend or family member to join your Cocoon household whilst you are away to be an extra set of eyes if you're not available for whatever reason.

So easy to setup and does what it says …
So easy to setup and does what it says it does. It felt special as soon as the box arrived, and I loved the way my phone talked to the Cocoon when setting it up. I live in an old noisy house (pets, creaking floors, noisy heating...) and the Cocoon has been learning with my assistance what is a normal noise, so it can then tell me what isn't. The app, iOS for me, is easy to use. Highly recommended.

Eezie-Peezie cocoon makes it easy...
Not only is the cocoon easy to set up and equally easy to operate BUT I have full control over everything I see and everything I want to hear with regards to my home and my family safety. I had one hiccup and I couldn't figure out how to get back in the drivers seat and after a 10 minute call, I was back online and it's been smoooooth sailing since. The cocoon developers & tech support made this a pleasure to control. For that, I'm a HUGE fan... & thanks again everyone!!

Excellent Home Security Device
I have been thinking of getting an Alarm fitted to my home for a while now but have never been satisfied with the options available. It seems as if there was very little alternative to getting every door and window in my house hard wired to an alarm and have that connected to one of the incumbent alarm companies. But I have been disappointed with these companies in the past (having my business premises connected to them). I take the plunge and buy a cocoon after my friend buys one.
It just works! Very easy to set up and requires virtually no interaction. I occasionally have to manually arm it (remotely) because one of my household have forgotten to take their phone but usually it happily arms itself when everyone has left.
Because you can see and listen on your phone, you can easily and remotely check for false alarms, and make extended recordings if something suspicious is going on.
The big USP of this product is that it is intelligent and covers the whole house using infrasound wizardry. It is also improving all the time. I can see in another year it will probably have all sorts of extra features. But as a rule I don't need anything more. It does everything I need of it short of bite any intruders.
Contrary to many early reports, there is no subscription fees so it is just the one up front charge of £159.
Wholeheartedly recommended.
