The cocoon itself is excellent. Really good kit, works as advertised, makes us feel confident that our home is being looked after. And it's good value, no rip off subscription for video we'll never watch. And every time I've dealt with the company they've been a deligh:, responsive, courteous, really helpful. I've got no reservations about recommending this product.

Very easy to set up.
Good clarity picture even at night.
Video saved to the cloud so secure.
Make sure you set up the notifications sound for the app on your phone so you notice any alerts!
EDIT - March 2021 - The device has stopped working twice in the past 6 months and once it heated itself up so as to be too hot to hold. Seems that the lifespan is about 2 years. Customer service not very swift. Feels like it's a dead product now.

I would recommend this company and their products to anyone. I have one of the original Cocoon products that I backed on Kickstarter. It is still going strong today. It is absolutely fabulous how Cocoon works. It foiled a break in before it happened, alerting me to someone trying to force open my back door whilst on holiday. This in turn allowed me to phone the Police to alert them. I also have a Cocoon to cover my office at work.

Looks to do what it is promoted to do. Working well to date.

Cocoon is a great piece of kit .It has completely changed the way we look after my elderly father .For example when he leaves the phone off the hook we can see via the Cocoon that he is OK. It works in the day or at night. I would recommend Cocoon to anyone .The price is brilliant and the aftersales service excellent.

Excellent home security device. The app is on all the household mobile phones and it feels much more secure. The only downside so far is that Android battery usage is quite heavy. Otherwise, no complaints

I ordered one as an experiment after looking for a decent solution for reasonable money. I clicked the wrong button in PayPal and charged it to a credit card. Didn't want to pay the PayPal charge and I know they are a nightmare to deal with so sent an email to cocoon to cancel the order. They did. Next day. Amazing service. So I did reorder. Got it next day or day after, not sure. Opened it, plugged it in, downloaded the app on my android phone. Follow ed the prompts and up and running in less than 10 mins. So (in this experience) all the folks who had trouble must have done something wrong or weren't paying attention (or had a fault). I invited my wife on her iPhone via WhatsApp. The app wasn't available. I used the support chat thing in my app and was told it was answered immediately. I was quickly told the app was being reviewed and it would be available hopefully same day but they would let me know when it was. Guess what! It was, and they did!! So, 10 stars for service.
The siren isn't as loud as I thought it would be but enough to let an intruder know they'd triggered it and not loud enough to annoy the neighbours who generally ignore a sounding alarm anyway.
Video and sound quality are great.
No false alarms yet but early days and there's been one of us home for most of the time, so I'll reserve judgement.
We have a 3 floor house and a dog so am interested how it will cope when pooch is on his own for a while.
I figure that burglars will come in on the ground floor so that's where it lives for now.
Love the fact that I can move it around if I want to (like when I get around to making a little corner shelf for it or when my wife moves the furniture around).
The app seems to be a bit battery hungry on my android but I am playing with it a bit and no moaning from the iPhone inhabitants so far, I'll keep an eye on that.
Looking forward to future features I've seen mentioned in the forum's and would jump at having a 2nd one on the same app that I could pop outside the house to watch things in the garden/drive.
I agree that opportunistic burglars don't normally disable power and internet before entering. You might not. My view is if they're that intent then I'd have to spend at least 8 times this amount to beat them ( based on a bit of googling and discounting a DIY solution which would still be about 4 times more).

Good good good so far. The best part is the refreshingly brilliant service and the promise of the incremental features.
Oh and my wife doesn't think it's hideous!!

Customer services is excellent. I did have a couple of hiccups when first installed but the Cocoon team were on it straight away and kept me updated throughout. The issues were rectified pretty swiftly and the team were kind, patient and understanding. I would definitely recommend the Cocoon. Does exactly what is says on the packet, there are no monthly fees, picture is clear, can see in the dark, keeps an eye on my puppy and sends me alerts when there are any issues. What else can I ask for, I can not recommend this product enough!

I installed Cocoon a little while ago and experienced some teething problems - which pretty much turned out to be all my fault!

The Cocoon team were unfailingly prompt to respond to my numerous pleas for help. They were also extremely patient in explaining what I had to do and how to do it to get things up and running after each self-created glitch. Nothing seemed too much trouble - refreshingly different from the average high-tech company!

Not the easiest to set up with differences in the booklet set up and the video set up. These need looking at.
Cocoon since starting has done all that it is made to do and as such I am very happy. I received the article regarding the base and it's fitting with cocoon. I feel that once the monitoring place has been settled the ability to lock the unit to the base is required. Cleaning etc of the unit on the table requires re setting it's angle every time.
Otherwise very happy with Cocoon.

Excellent product, sets it’s self when you leave no typing codes etc, what a great way to protect you home. What matters to me is no monthly costs,I am 80 years old and have paid out lots of money for a system that rings a bell no alerts.Well pleased with my little Cocoon

The product design is great, it looks really modern and fits right in. The Cocoon worked exactly as described in that I got a number of false alerts in the first few days but these eased off once the Cocoon got to learn about its new environment. The 'arming' and 'disarming' works well with the installed app and geo location.

The only area where I was slightly disappointed was the loudness of the internal siren, it could be louder. I believe the siren in the Cocoon is around 90dB, as an example I have a similar siren in my garage which is an ear splitting 130dB which is uncomfortable to be around.

Other than that I really like the simplicity of the product, some reviewers mentioned that they thought the app could be more feature rich, my view is that the simplicity of the app is what makes it appealing in that you are not presented with loads of useless options most of which you will never use.

One area I would like to see improved is the integration with other Smart Home products, as an example integration with Alexa and Philips Hue lighting. This would mean that if you set off the Cocoon siren it could also flash your Philips Hue lights too. I'm sure this will come.......

Very pleased with Cocoon. A lot better than conventional systems,which offer entry level protection for a comparable price.

Excellent product.

Cocoon is a very 'smart' invention and since we have installed it in our home we are happy that it has given us peace of mind when we are not there. It is unobtrusive, can be moved to any location in our home and an excellent back up to a burglar alarm by alerting us to what is happening wherever we may be and of course, being able to see who and what is happening instantly. It allows you to be in control and not relying on your neighbours to respond to an audible burglar alarm. Having been burgled once I do not want to relive the trauma again. An added advantage is that should you move house it moves with you and doesn't remain secured to the walls with the rest of the fixtures and fittings.

I must tell you how wonderful the after sales service is too. Initially I experienced problems trying to set up my first Cocoon but the customer service I received via their online chat was second to none. I was talked through every stage of the set up no matter how silly my questions may have sounded with pleasant, professional expertise. When it was apparent that it was the unit which was the problem and not me I was sent a replacement unit out that day and I received it less than 24hrs later. Set up was completed in five minutes maximum, Wonderful - who could ask for anything more?

Easy to set up , simple to operate . excellent quality video , black and white in total darkness , good colour in light . Detects activity when house unoccupied , sends info to phone so I decide if action is necessary or not .

Cocoon is great. It was really simple to set up. I had a slight issue right at the start where it didn't seem to be working, but it sorted itself out pretty quickly (I think it was updating the software after connecting to my router). Anyhow, it works really well for us. Sends us alerts when there is unusual activity around the house and I can watch from wherever I am via the app. The quality of video is good - I'm especially impressed by night time camera. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting a standalone home security/monitoring system. There's a lot of functionality in it.
