DMV dont communicate

DMV dont communicate. one way traffic here and then you get an overseas call centre when there is an issue. they dont return calls when they say but still take the money.

I have been a loyal customer of DMV for an extended period, and I must say their flexibility is outstanding. Setting a payment promise date is hassle-free, especially in case of unexpected circumstances. This has been a great convenience for me.

A front for Cold call scammers

Cold call scammers operating as “secure talk” (but with payment going to DMV). My elderly mum was conned into paying over £450 for a £90 phone set - ironically to “reduce scam calls”. Money was paid to DMV comms. Shouted at me when I requested a return and refused. Utter scum

Disgraceful

Disgraceful. Still trying to get
To the bottom of it. My mother is elderly and doesn’t know what the call was about, she was told that her handset is no longer in use and they are trying to take £153.90 out of her account for a new handset.

DMV Comms (posing as Secure Talk) - SCAM

DMV Comms (posing as Secure Talk) sold my father in law a £33 telephone for £153.90 over the telephone. My father in law is 87 and suffers from dementia. Their returns policy claims to be a 7 day return policy but in fact they refuse to give a return address or to accept returns without their prior agreement. They have been utterly obstructive and unhelpful on the telephone. I have given them 24 hours to return the funds. After that, the police. Disgraceful and a stain on humanity.

Rest of World contract

I ordered a Rest of World when I was visiting the USA. This was £99 for a month's worth of free calls. No problem with that - but a few months later I travelled to Morocco for 7 days and didn't take a ROW contract - but because THEY sent me a text they say that started another ROW contract for another £99 - which I didn't order or want. I never used my phone. They will not cancel this contract and have taken the money through O2 - even though it was in dispute.
Very under handed and not a nice company.
Beware .....

We are sorry that you left us a negative review. I have done my utmost in trying to resolve your query and issue with your ROW pass.

We have informed you previously that the ROW pass which was added to your account was added by your request - and you did this directly through O2 via webchat. This was not done via ourselves.

The ROW pass of £99 replaces the default unless requested to be removed. As you have not had this removed, the 30-day pass renewed automatically whilst you were abroad. Our marketing sms would not have triggered a renewal as this was an inbound SMS for you.

As you are billed by O2 and you have requested and consumed the pass and associated services we are unable to request any credit from O2. Sadly, we are unable to pursue this matter further

I have had a contract with 02 since…

I have had a contract with 02 since 2005 all has been smooth. In 2019 I buy a phone outright and get a sim only contract with 02 and paying 16 pounds every month. In September 2021 a person from DMV calls me out of the blue pretending to be from o2 saying i can get a better rate then I have. I keep asking is this from o2 - yes it is the person says, I'm confused as I have a sim only shouldn't I just be able to have it until I decide otherwise.

I'm a busy business owner and mother so I don't have time to thing things over more and they say I have to do this. I sign a contract on a then more than 2 year old phone.

Now 1 year later my phone isn't working very well and on it's last legs I contact o2 to see if I can get a new phone. They say oh no you can't you are with DMV and you have to pay a penalty of 175 pounds to get out of it.

It may be legal what DMV did but it certainly isn't moral or ethical. I have for more than year now paid 27 pounds instead of 16 and I told the person that I spoke to I own the phone outright - why would you insist such a person has to enter into a 2 year contract.

Im yet to hear back on this. I expect to be released from this contract and be put back on sim only with o2.

Then I will buy a phone outright and get a sim only contract.

At the time the contract was agreed, you would have been informed of the contract term, your allowances on your new tariff. We inform all our customers that we manage their account moving forward and this is also included in the paperwork.
