Tom and Steve have serviced our boiler for years.They are always incredibly friendly and knowledgable and I wouldn’t use anyone else.
Clever Energy and the Team always go the extra mile to help. They’ve always been on hand to answers any questions too.
James and Sam fitted our new boiler this week and they were a joy to have around.
James was really knowledgeable and kept us updated on everything they had done, and minor issues which needed fixing.
Both Sam and James worked really hard to get the job completed quickly and efficiently, making sure we had warm water on the first night.

Fantastic company
Fantastic company; reliable, quick to respond, sorted out our issues (which turned out to be various) methodically and with a minimum of fuss and friendly service too - we are new clients and will be asking them to look after our system from now on - n.b. suggest you ignore the average rating because as you'll see the negative reviews left on this site are because the reviewers have reviewed the wrong company - tough for a company like this who are doing everything right, but assume the platform won't allow corrections!

Be warned.
Just received Email from this company asking me to refer them to a friend. July 2019 they supplied and fitted my boiler with an annual service for 10 years. Services were 2020 on time, 2021 Sept, 2022 after much ado Nov. 2023 no service at all. After constant calling my service was done Feb 24. I stopped my payments after that and received not one enquiry from them as to why, I was paying over £108.00 per year. I value my friends.

However, we believe this review may have been intended for a different company. Clever Energy Heating Ltd, based in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, is a local independent business that has never offered 10-year annual service plans or monthly payment schemes. Our records do not show a client matching your description, and we do not have a history of fitted installations from July 2019 that include the service agreement you mentioned.
It appears there may be another company with a similar name operating nationally that provides these types of service contracts. We recommend double-checking your original paperwork or bank statements to ensure you are contacting the correct provider so they can resolve your refund and service issues.

Outstanding service
Clever Energy has been servicing my heating system since 2015, across gas boilers and air source heat pumps in properties I rented, and then installing and maintaining an air source heat pump in the house I purchased. They respond quickly to enquiries, turn up when they say they will, and provide an outstanding level of service. As part of this, they have taught me how to maintain and use my heating systems to their best potential. Tom has also overseen the full replacement of a bathroom and various other plumbing related upgrades, as well as the occasional emergency. I would recommend Clever Energy to anyone, and particularly to those looking for a company with reliable experience of looking after heat pumps.

Once again Clever Energy has helped us out at very short notice. Our attic pipework had sprung a leak during the night and we woke to water dripping down into the house. Several years ago we had a similar problem and as with that occasion Clever Energy responded and came round within the hour, identified and fixed the problem. Great service from a great company. Great service. Tom visited and spent a good amount of time talking over the problem, and understanding why I wanted the work doing. James and Joe who did the work were friendly, professional and allowed me to photograph everything for future reference before putting the floorboards back down.

We needed a replacement Inverter for…
We needed a replacement Inverter for our Solar Panels & it was very easy to deal with this company, sent a photo of the old & the new much more compact replacement was sourced. Engineer kept us informed of his arrival as stuck in traffic & we were very pleased with his professionalism. This unit even has an app so we can see the effiency of the panels. Definitely recommend this company as we are very pleased

They (over) estimate bills don't fix issues quickly when they arise and don't take responsibility for any problems. They send threatening comms and bailiffs round to payees even when payees have already paid their bills to another billing company and have provided evidence. They are SHAMBOLIC

Efficient and highly competent
Clever Energy respond quickly and efficiently and always do an excellent job. They have installed everything in my house from my Nest thermostat to a complex underfloor heating system. They always arrange the regular boiler service without me having to remember. If a repair is needed, they have a photo database of all the plumbing in your house and can start to diagnose and guide over the phone before coming out. I recommend them very highly.

Hi I am not a satisfied customer because an engineer should figure out the problem and solve it rather than guessing and you get charged for that guess and then asking for another guess that may solve the problem and still no guarantee so I ended up with the same problem afteall

Hi Raghida. Sorry to hear that you feel you’ve had a bad experience.
Your boiler has quite a challenging fault to diagnose which could require a few different components to repair (as they can all cause the same fault code to occur). Unfortunately it’s impossible to trace the fault back to a specific one and explained this on our visit.
The manufacturer’s technical team also couldn’t give us a definitive answer.
We suggested the cheapest option first, which you’ve been charged for, then gave you prices for the other options and you declined. You said you may consider a new boiler and that’s the last we heard.
Hope you manage to get things sorted.

I have known Tom for several years; he is a problem-solver of great versatility - the puzzling eccentricities of heating and plumbing systems are always navigated with dispatch and efficiency. I have never had a single complaint, accept his suggestions about solutions to problems, and new equipment, without hesitation, and have recommended Clever Energy to numerous friends (all satisfied). Steve and James are also a credit to the business.
