Absolutely would not recommend
I have worked with 4 different customs agents and Clearit has been by far the worst. Probably work ok if you are dealing occasionally with simple shipments, but if it is a more complicated import, or anything goes wrong, they do NOT go the extra mile to save you time and money. I have had several issues with them and they often have slow responses and seem impossible to get ahold of over the phone. Absolutely would not recommend.

First time shipping across the border. I had no idea what was involved and it was very tedious and confusing and downright overwhelming. Jodi was very helpful and walked me through the process.

I bought an annual bond from them on account registration. It generated a ticket, which was marked complete. A few days later I was still charged for a single entry bond without any sort of notice. When I asked about this they referred me to the process I had already completed during account registration.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS: Broken website and non-existent support
As an online customs broker they are completely incompetent and cannot get the customs clearing done. If you want your customs form done in any realistic timeframe, you should not use this company.
First of all their website and system is broken everywhere. The system makes you newly sign up when signing a new form, and signing from an existing account does not work. That means if you need to re-sign a for any reason, you are doomed.
They don't have a "delete account" link so you will have to go through with customer support, which is a nightmare (more on that later).
There are some stuff in your address or your account that you cannot change, so that also has to go throught customer support.
Not all websites are perfect, so this isn't a terrible thing... As long as the company has a decently functioning customer support.
Unfortunately this company's customer support is worse than you can imagine.
They don't have a phone support, and their customer support will respond to you maybe 1-2 times a day if you are lucky.
And their response will most likely not solve your problem - you do as they say, and you run into another problem caused by their disfunctional website. So you reach our to the customer support again, and wait 1-2 days.
Repeat that about 5 times and maybe you will accomplish whatever you wanted to.
For a time-sensitive service like shipments and custom, this quality is just unacceptable.
Using this service will most likely mess up your shipping and business schedule.
We cancelled them half way and used another customs broker, but who knows what would have happened if there would have been issues at the customs. No phone number and terrible response time - How much will that affect your shipment schedule?

Communication is slow and difficult
Communication is very difficult when there is no phone number. Things can be misconstrued via messages. It also takes much more time out of my day trying to message customer service versus picking up a phone and having a conversation.
Horrible service
Horrible service. I am very upset the lack of responsiveness of clearit. First there is no telephone number to call and talk to a human. I can only use the chat and they take days to respond. Clear it just don't do their job and they lie to your face. They claim my cargo is on hold for custom clearance but I checked the warehouse where the cargo is being held and they told me they have not received the paperwork to transfer the cargo to the custom facility. Customs required the cargo to be sent to their facility 11 days ago! But cargo is still waiting at the warehouse. I wish I have used another broker. I am trying now to get them to release forms so another agency can take over. Don't trust the good reviews posted to their website, Google the real reviews from real customers.
The Online set up was good
The Online set up was good. It was the first time I used a custom broker for a shipment out of Canada. The only problem was not a lot information about Getting a PAPS Number for BOL and when we were all set up to move freight the online Email It said Your ready to ship.
Did not say go to the Canada Shipping Company to contact Clearit to get forms moving.
