At Chronology, we build beautiful handcrafted, rustic furniture. Our signature style combines the warmth of solid wood paired with industrial style metalwork. We love working with materials like steel tube, hairpin legs, and box section steel to create furniture that’s both sturdy and full of character. We have an ever growing range of dining tables and benches, desks, bookcases, shelf units, hi fi cabinets, tv stands, console tables, coffee tables and more, all made by our own team in our North Yorkshire workshop. We offer a wide range of standard sizes but we're also able to provide custom pieces too. If you have a specific design in mind, we’d love to hear about it. We’re always up for a challenge and enjoy working with customers to create something unique and perfectly suited to their space. We deliver all over the country, and much of our business comes through online orders, but we do also have a showroom in Brompton on Swale, North Yorkshire, just outside of the beautiful historic market town of Richmond. We're open from 9:30 - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday and on Saturdays by appointment. You're very welcome to come and see our products firsthand and experience the craftsmanship that goes into each piece. Whether you're looking for a rustic dining table, a stylish bench, a functional desk, or a beautiful bookcase, we have something to suit every taste and style.

Excellent service from start to finish
The whole process of purchasing through this company was excellent. Really simple ordering process and great delivery service. Very helpful on the phone when I called to get an updated expected delivery date, and Martyn (delivery driver) messaged and called ahead of delivery so we knew exactly when he’d be there. The item is excellent quality, we will definitely buy from them again.

Nice quality and super service
Really nice quality furniture and will definitely look at other things i can buy in the future. We bought 2x Industrial shelving units with cupboard for my sons bedroom and Chronology were happy to reduce the width so it fitted nicely in the space. The units really transform the bedroom from a young kids space to a more sophisticated space, and the units also fit well with a lot of the other furniture in our house to create continuity. Thick, very nice wood and feels like they will last a lifetime. Delivery was great and super nice guy who had driven straight from Chronology to London and was super helpful. All round very pleased.

I ordered a HiFi unit with record storage, it was made to order which took a little longer than expected, however it was well worth the wait, it looks fantastic, it was delivered into our room of choice with care and attention, would recommend chronology to anyone and would happily purchase from them in the future.

Our new table is the star of our new kitchen
Our lovely new table arrived right on time and we are very pleased with it. Ordering and delivery were very simple and it was easy to attach the legs (once we had realised we didn’t need any screws!) Would happily use this company again.

Excellent furniture
Excellent furniture, value for money and delivered close to the original timeframe mentioned when placing the order. Only caveat is that there could be better order updates via the website, but that's not enough to knock it down a star. Would use again.

Absolutely love my record player stand
Absolutely love my record player stand, it has plenty of space for Record Player, Amp and a good selection of my current favourite vinyls. Excellent service and exceptional delivery which surprised me as I live in the highlands and islands region.
