So I ordered delivery service for Chicago Pizza on this online platform for delivery. When I call Chicago Pizza, they said no one ever came to pick up the order so I found a number for ChowNow and the representative. Tried to tell me that it was for pick up. It was not for pick up so now I have to dispute it with my bank, but this is an online scam for delivery. They had no intention of delivering my order. I would rate it a zero hands-down.

Charges 20-25% more for same menu items compared to DoorDash or Uber Eats. They charge the restaurants less to they get “preferred” by restaurants but then charge customers way more.

Untrustworthy. They do not have drivers in our area, and yet take orders anyways.... I understand that they don't charge the restaurant, but the restaurant owners need to realize that people WANT delivery and chownow sucks, it's a horrible service that the people don't want or trust. If you don't want to have your own olden times delivery driver, then just get on one of the forums that work, like doordash.

Order never sent to restaurant. Couldn't even get 2 of the items on the menu. Charged $49 for nothing. I hear ChowNow isn't good about following through with actually issuing refunds. I will be upset and contacting Better Business Bureau if that happens. Will never use ChowNow again because they dont update their menu to reflect actual food offerings and they are sketchy about following through with sending order to restaurant. The restaurant owners dontike ChowNow either. It gets in the way of business.

If you are a business and you are thinking about using Chownow, let me warn you, DO NOT, they over charge customers and you don't even know about it. The system is set up to milk the customer, and when trying to discontinue using them, its almost impossible, I cancled with them over a year ago and they are still calling me, I sent their equipment back over a year ago. and they are still calling me telling me I need to go through the cancelation process. Which I did three times. So I asked the person I was speaking to, If he saw where I returned the equipment, he said yes. I then asked then how did you send me the box to return the equipment if I did not go through the cancelation process. he could not answer me. he then tried to get me to pay for a full year.... Really, at this point I am having to get an attorney involved, good thing I have a good friend of mine that is an attorney. But I tell You do yourself a favor and do NOT use this company in your restaurant . Really bad BAD BAD BAD!!!!!!!

I put my order in at a restaurant early in the day to have food delivered for a group dinner at 5:45pm. Our food didn't show up until 6:30pm. From the ChowNow map it seemed like they had the driver going way out of the way to a far away location in between picking up our food and coming to my place, which is a 10 minute drive from the restaurant. I know it wasn't the restaurant's fault because I called them and they confirmed the food had been picked up on time.

Horrible. Told my food would be delivered by 6:30. No word or update until 6:445, when they tell me it will arrive at 7:15. If I had known that, I would have used a different service and different restaurant. In addition to being late, they do not offer updates, or even apologize that the delivery will be other than as advertised. Useless app. Will not use again.

Small business owners, please be very careful

I’m writing this review because I wish I had seen more honest experiences from other small business owners before using ChowNow.
Our experience has been extremely frustrating. We were charged for services that we did not understand or agree to, and when we tried to get clarification and resolve the issue, communication became a major problem.
A ChowNow representative previously told us that our refund had already been processed. It has now been more than a month, and we still have not received that refund.
We have also repeatedly requested our billing statements for the past 12 months so that we can properly reconcile our business account and understand exactly what we have been charged. We have not received the information we requested.
There is also another disputed charge of approximately $447 that we are trying to resolve.
Today, we asked for an update again. We were told that our account manager will now be out of the office for two weeks. So after already waiting more than a month for a refund that we were told had been processed, we are now being asked to wait another two weeks to hopefully get our issue addressed.
I understand that employees take time off, and I don't blame an individual employee for being out of the office. My concern is that there doesn't appear to be an adequate system for handling an urgent billing problem when the assigned account manager is unavailable.
As a small business, every dollar matters. We don't have the financial cushion that a large company has. When money is taken from our business account and a promised refund doesn't arrive for more than a month, it creates real financial stress.
What has been most disappointing is not simply the charge itself. It's the lack of timely communication, the difficulty getting our own billing information, and constantly having to follow up ourselves.

I am sharing this so other small business owners can do their homework before signing up. Read the agreement carefully, make sure you understand every fee and service you're agreeing to, keep copies of all communications, and monitor your bank statements closely.

I'm not writing this review because I expect special treatment. I simply believe small business owners deserve transparency, clear billing, and timely support when there is a problem.

We are still hoping ChowNow will resolve this properly. If they do, I will update this review accordingly.

I ordered Kenji Burger at the Kapaa location on Tuesday night for a house guest. They use the online ordering platform ChowNow. Order and payment went through. Got a receipt. Went down the hill and it was completely closed! Later, I received an email that said my order would be ready at 2pm the next day??!! I wrote to them and said no thanks, just give me a refund. At 11:30am, I got an email while at work that my order was now ready. Two days later, ChowNow sends me an email that this is out of their "refund policy." So basically, they stole from me. I love me some Kenji Burger but this is just poor management and theft.

I would never ever order from a restaurant that’s associated with chow now ever again. My order was for delivery. I had to place my address, my name, and I also received a notification on the time I was expected to have my order picked up. After an hour, I called the restaurant which told me my order hadn’t been picked up. I called chow now then told me I placed to have my order for in store pick up which I didn’t.. why would it ask for my location and also send me a notification of expected pick up time for my food? I’m at work, don’t get off until 7 . When I asked to speak with a manger the representative told me you will get the same answer. Did not want to give me a refund. The restaurant apologized for the inconvenience and offered to hold my food until I get off. I will never deal with chow now ever again. Know that any discrepancy, they will not take care of the customer and are very very rude.

i would like to give it zero stars but i cant I ordered delivery and instead it became a pickup and there is no way to get in touch witj them

They delivered the wrong dinner to the wrong house. And then they couldn't contact the driver to fix it. The worst!

I should have looked here before using ChowNow. The reviews don't lie, this company is horrible. You don't get your food, their customer service is non existent, you don't get refunded, if I could give them a negative star rating I would

Order was placed at incorrect F and F Japanese Hibachi Grill in Addison,Tx should have been College Station,Tx F and F advised to call Chow Now for refund that they had already made the order. The restaurant location 3 hours away and the restaurant and Chow Now denied refunding order amount.it basically turned into a back and forth between both companies on who shop be issuing refund,So be careful in using 3rd party vendors for placing orders online cause you’ll be just donating your funds to somebody, cause no one wants to be responsible for refunding the customer for online order errors that won’t ever get picked up. These restaurants show how much they appreciate their customers keeping in business by keeping money for food orders that can’t be received.

Cannot find a way to delete my user account. Was told in an email I was out of luck in deleting it. All I could do was change my phone number to something that doesn't exist.
Had I known this, I would never have created an account on that site.

Well, coming on here and seeing they basically have 1.1 stars is all that needs to be said. I've been trying to deal with this company about a very simple thing about changing my email address. They made it extremely hard and they are extremely bad and I've already told them just cancel my account or I'm just going to stop using it. They want me to wait a couple weeks to get responses from them which is insane they are a joke and a company that should not be given any money or consideration to

Support asked me to reply to their email re a problem order & order refund. I've emailed several times to discuss the issue and follow up, and have received no response for 4 days. I have not received the refund.

ChowNow delivered someone else's order instead of our own, and vice versa. Fortunately, the other person was somehow able to contact us, and we exchanged the food. Although we eventually got our food, it involved a substantial delay and hassle, and the fact that we got it at all was no thanks to ChowNow and their driver. So, after dinner I contacted ChowNow and asked for a refund of the tip. They asked for a photo of the incorrect food and receipt. I explained that we no longer had it and why, but they still refused to refund the tip.

The absolute worst my food was ready @6:30 and the Uber driver they outsource delivery to didn't pick up the food till 7:30. And the falsely claim on their website that they are the preferred delivery service for the restaurant which the restaurant confirmed they are not. AVOID CHOWNOW AT ALL COSTS!

Ive been in the restraunt business for 35+ years and ill be the 1st to admit it!! "Im old school" I believe in relationships, I still look a man in the eye when I meet them and shake their hand! Im from a time when your word meant something!!! When you did business with a person or company that it was handled with the utmost professionalism!! CHOWNOW???? SEEMS YOU GUYS MISSED THE ETHICAL PART OF EVERYTHING. I found this company CHOWNOW last may of 2025. First thing I noticed was the cost!!!! (A bit high) but they stood out!! They weren't like the other companies they integrated with Uber eats and door dash without the crazy fees those companies charge it was pretty straight forward they had a flat fee and it was tolerable, till it wasn't..
Sometimes no deliveries would get picked up, customers calling and I have to direct them to an 800 #!!! That looks bad on my business so I had to eat some loss due to issues I never created.
The real issue is this
I closed in January 2026 and im December I let CHOWNOW know what was happening!!
I asked to pause my service while we looked for a new location, the location we were at we closed because the property owners decided to open their own food spot and pushed us out!! (Horrible) CHOWNOW tells us we have a one year contract and I cannot pause my services!!!
This is what makes no sense!!!!
They call themselves restraunt partners!!! Their there to help us streamline our restraunt and make more money!!!but they did just the opposite they buried me!!! They said absolutely not that i must pay them $235.00 dollars a month regardless of having a restraunt or not!!! So explain how a restraunt with no active address can operate. They cannot operate but CHOWNOW does not care!!! They only care about their money not helping the restraunt owners/partners stay open with solid services!! They are there to sign you up and then its lights out!!! So after repeated attempts to pause my services they continue billing and charges for services that have no use.. we have put stop payment on them with our bank.. ive sent so many emails asking for directions I get no response only some lady clearly reading from a script, so now ive been left holding my ??? And my only option is leaving a review of my experience..
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY CHOWNOW!!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONWY AND SELL YOU THE WORLD.. BUT IF YOU NEED THEM THEY'RE ABOUT A USEFUL AS LIPS ON A CHICKEN!!!

SECONDLY I WILL BE FILING A REPORT WITH THE BBB AND FILING A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATES ATTORNEY IFFICE AS WELL.

HAD CHOWNOW been willing to simply pause the service all the nonsense would have been avoided..

Save yourself the headache and DO NOT USE CHOWNOW!!!

You will be disappointed! They will screw you over.. there are other companies that do what they do and more for 1/2 of what CHOWNOW charges..

Seems llke people are starting to figure it out too..

I WONT LET YOU TAKE ANOTHER DOLLAR.

And trust youll be hearing from him..

And ill give you till Monday July 6th to cancel my service and $0.00 me out. If not I will file a report with the system attorney office.
