Do not buy any software from these…
Do not buy any software from these underground sites — they are part of a coordinated anti-piracy operation run by big corporations like Dassault Systèmes.
These sites distribute cracked versions of SOLIDWORKS that contain hidden "phone-home" tracking code. When you install it, the software quietly sends your computer's MAC address, IP, and usage details back to Dassault.
Then a real law firm (like Harness IP) sends you an official demand letter claiming copyright infringement, threatening tens of thousands in damages unless you "settle" by buying legitimate licenses — often with extra add-ons you don't need.
This aggressive enforcement model generates multi-millions in revenue for them each year, sometimes more than normal sales, by turning pirates into forced customers.
It's not an outright scam (the letters and evidence are real), but it's a high-pressure corporate tactic designed to scare people into paying.
