Mairead Sheahan (née Casey) is the founder of Casey Collections, an online retail store based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry, specialising in Irish-made apparel inspired by the vibrant culture of Ireland’s fairs and festivals. Originally from Dublin, Mairead relocated to Killorglin in 2012 after meeting her husband, Donal Sheahan, owner of Francie Sheahan’s—a third-generation family bar located in the heart of Killorglin. The idea for Casey Collections was sparked during Puck Fair 2022, Ireland’s oldest and most celebrated festival, when visitors frequently asked where they could purchase official Puck Fair merchandise. Recognising the demand, Mairead partnered with the Puck Fair Committee to create and supply exclusive merchandise, including T-shirts, hoodies, caps, and tote bags. With Puck Fair attracting 80,000–100,000 visitors annually, Casey Collections has quickly become the go-to source for official festival designs, now shipping throughout Ireland, the UK, and the USA. Drawing on her family’s legacy of craftsmanship—her mother, Margaret Casey, was a talented designer of wedding and occasion wear. Inspired by her mother’s attention to detail and artistry, Mairead delivers unique, Irish-made designs that resonate with customers seeking a connection to Irish heritage and culture. Customer loyalty is at the heart of her approach, with each design crafted to create a meaningful and lasting impression. Mairead ensures that every item in her collection reflects her commitment to quality, authenticity, and style. Mairead’s extensive professional background spans over 25 years in accounting and business administration, with experience gained across Dublin, Australia, and London. After returning to Ireland, she pursued further education, earning a Chartered Accounting qualification (CAP1) in 2012, a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration in 2016, and Executive MBA in 2023. Her academic and professional journey has equipped her with the skills to build Casey Collections into a thriving business, seamlessly blending her love of fashion with a strong foundation in business strategy. Today, Mairead is proud to offer customers a curated selection of Puck Fair-inspired apparel, designed and crafted in Ireland. Her mission is to create a seamless shopping experience where customers can enjoy high-quality, locally made products that celebrate Irish culture and tradition.
