Absolutely avoid!!!!

easyJet offered a cheap add on, £15 for a car for three days. However what was not obvious was that when you get there it's an additional £130 plus a deposit of £150, using the company klasswagen. Alternatively you put a deposit of £1800 done !!!! Which they hold for 90 days!!! Which I'm not sure is even legal. Staff hard sell the additional insurance and the £150 deposit is for tolls, which you have to pay regardless of if you use any. Absolutely shafted on this as well only got it because it was so cheap.

On top of this, the actual hire car centre was miles from the airport.

Absolutely avoid

If I could give 0 stars I would. Dont use easyjet to book your car rental. Was my first time and last time. During the booking process at no point did it say I needed 2 credit cards, and AMEX wasnt accepted. Got to my car rental, and wouldnt accept my amex as second card even though I had enough to cover excess (even though i paid for extra insurance) on my main credit card. Refused to let me hire car. Now Easyjet refuse to refund as they said its clear on the booking voucher (you get after you booked). When you actually look at your booking voucher in the main section it says make sure to bring A credit card with drivers name etc on. In the small print at bottom it says you need 2, but as said you only know this after booking!

Terrible experience with renting a car…

Terrible experience renting a car in Crete through easyJet.

After booking our flights to Chania, we also booked car hire through easyJet. As usual, easyJet sent a confirmation email along with a checklist stating that a credit card was required for the insurance excess deposit. However, nowhere was it made clear that American Express would not be accepted.

With everything else involved in travelling, this understandably did not stand out until we arrived to collect the car from Green Motion, where we were left stuck for over two hours in a rental car portacabin.

We were then directed back to easyJet to change the booking into my wife's name so that her credit card could be used. Despite multiple phone calls, this got us nowhere. In the end, we had no choice but to ask easyJet to cancel the original booking and book directly with the car hire company instead, which meant paying another £300.

I then contacted easyJet to request a refund for the original car hire charge, only to receive a generic response that failed to address the issue. As a result, we have effectively had to pay twice for the same car hire.

To make matters worse, the replacement hire car was old, covered in scratches, and even had peeling windscreen wipers, which made the whole experience even more frustrating.
Overall, this was an extremely stressful and disappointing experience, and I would avoid booking car hire through easyJet again.

Unauthorised billing and poor customer service

I rented a car at Edinburgh airport on 27th March 2026 and was asked to take an electric car on the basis that I wouldn't be billed for re-charging. I was doing minimal miles locally. I returned the car and this was confirmed. I was then charged automatically on my credit card
When I raised this through the Call Centre, I've had no returned calls or help to resolve. Very poor

easyJet are happy to allow their rental agents to extort their customers

The airport rental desk added charges which weren't part of the rental agreement, despite the rental agreement saying it included all charges and taxes.

They wouldn't release the car until I agreed to pay them. I had my young family with me, and we had to travel over 100km to our accommodation, so my only option was to sign the paperwork to get the car.

When I tried to inform easyJet of this via their web chat portal stopped working.

When I returned from holiday, I chased this up with easyJet and was told that because I'd signed the paperwork, there's nothing they could do.

Appalling

Appalling- arrived in Edinburgh firstly the car hire is 30 minutes shuttle drive away - this appears on the confirmation but is not obvious at the time of booking on the easyJet website. So there is a number to call on arrival. Website says open till 11 pm. Phoned at 9 pm waited for an answer for 30 minutes. In end had to hire a car at airport from a reputable firm at extra cost. Tried to call the next morning- again put in queue and no answer. It is a scam please save yourself heartache and pain by paying a bit more for proper car hire service - Hertz, Avis, Sixt Europcar, Alamo etc which has a presence at the airport

Au moindre soucis aucun service

Je suppose que quand tout va bien ça peut passer, mais au moindre petit soucis n'attendez aucun support de easyjet. Notre vol a été annulé, nous avons pu prendre un nouveau vol 24h plus tard, mais la réservation de la voiture impossible de la modifier. J'ai du prendre une nouvelle réservation dans une autre agence directement à l'aéroport à mes frais et maintenant c'est parti pour une procédure qui n'en fini pas pour espérer un remboursement.

1000 euros de perdu avec easy jet location de voiture

Ne jamais louer une voiture avec EasyJet. J’ai perdu mon porte monnaie au départ de mon vol et donc j’avais seulement mon permis digital. Le sous traitant EasyJet location voiture (budget) n’a rien voulu savoir. EasyJet non plus. Ils ne pouvaient rien pour moi alors que j’avais une copie de mon permis devant leur yeux. Ils m’ont proposé de changer de conducteur en mettant le nom de ma femme. Impossible à faire, entre les mails et les coups de fils dans le vide 1h30 de perdus et obligé de laisser tomber au bout d’un moment. Rien n’est fait si vous avez le Moindre problème. À éviter à tout prix. Nous avons perdu 400 euros de location. Et dépenser 500 euros pour une nouvelle location ailleurs. C’est une HONTE, aucun service apres vente !!!A ÉVITER AVSOLUMENT

Never rent a car through easyJet

Very bad experience in Malaga, April 2026. Rented a car through Easyjet, seemed easy to me. Everything together. Easyjet outsources it to Delpaso. Cheated at the counter. Credit card supposedly not valid. Nonsense. People next to us had similar experiences. And many other reasons why they make people pay extra or don't give the car at all. Shameful that Easyjet does business with this company. Never renting a car through EasyJet again.

There was no car available with…

There was no car available with Drivalia when I turned up with my young family. They told me that the car had been rented to someone else and that I needed to call Easyjet. Easyjet offered no solution except to go to another car rental company and try my luck. Angry does not do this justice!

Avoid carwiz in Georgia at all cost. We were talked into paying 100 GBP extra when getting the car for full insurance despite having premium insurance done online before arrival, they will not provide any paperwork for this insurance, and money will go into their pockets. they will make you feel vulnerable and try to squeeze every penny out of you. they even deduced another 100 GBP from our car deposit once we got back to the UK, where they over deduced by 60 GBP without providing any receipt or evidence.

Don’t fall for low price con!

I booked a car for 6 days from Stansted. For £86. They wanted another £250 for insurance or I’d have an excess of £1500 to pay for any damage. I was unaware of this at time of booking. I refused and they got very rude so I cancelled the booking altogether whilst at the desk. I’ve “spoken” to a chat bot who says I can’t have my £86 returned. It’s all a scam -don’t use EasyJet car hire !!!!

Awful


Awful. They use green motion rentals. They said I must use the card I booked with, which was a debit card, all accepted and paid in advance including extra insurance. They wouldn't accept my Visa card for the 1500 deposit despite 2000 limit available. They wouldn't accept my wife's credit card either but offered for £376 additional cost to give me the car !!!
Left me without a car for the week but wouldn't refund a penny of the total cost.

LOCATION DE VOITURE PAR EASYJET CAR

J’ai effectué un vol sans encombre en Octobre avec EasyJet sur Heraklion et j’avais réservé comme d’habitude la location de voiture avec la proposition d’Easyjetcar.
Cette fois ci la location locale était avec Centauro…en dehors de l’aéroport transport en navette. Le vol arrivait à 23h, donc le temps d’arriver au comptoir de Centauro il était 23h30, nous faisons l’attente au guichet, une hôtesse Centauro ( ne parlant pas un mot de français)nous demande notre voucher, et notre permis de conduire à savoir celui de mon épouse qui était la conductrice du véhicule. En France sur le permis figure le nom de jeune fille alors que la réservation faite par elle était à son nom de mariée. Refus systématique de nous donner la voiture louée en raison de la différence de nom sur le permis, présentation du passeport où figurent les 2 noms. Refus catégorique. Je téléphone en Anglais en GB auprès du sous traitant de EasyJet qui est en fait une boîte anglaise Cartrawler afin qu’ils modifient le nom ou qu’ils interviennent ou qu’ils me remboursent. Refus catégorique et par Cartrawler et par Centauro. Il est minuit 30, pas de voiture, loin de l’aéroport impossible de rejoindre notre chambre d’hôtel réservée, 425 € de perdu…
Et Centauro me propose une nouvelle location de voiture avec le nom de jeune fille de mon épouse pour 650 € la plus petite voiture.
Réclamation auprès d’Easyjet, qui botte en touche et qui me précise qu’ils ne sont pas responsables de la politique de leur sous traitant.
DONC MEFIEZ-VOUS DES LOCATIONS DE VOITURE PROPOSÉES PAR EASYJET, C’EST DE L’ARNAQUE AVEC LEUR SOUS TRAITANT !!!!

Easy Jet Car Rental Via Green Motion Birmingham Airport , Please Do Not Make The Same Mistake As Me , EasyJet don't hire cars its a link to the worst company you can imagine in Green Motion , whatever price you think you are paying be rest assured at the end of the day you will pay much more . DO NOT USE EARLY CHECK IN Either as they will use this to set you up and hit you with a multitude of fees such as reduced exceeds fee whether you wont it or not. Video the car from the moment you arrive at it as they will again try to give you charges for damages that where already there and they are fully aware of . As for the staff its obvious they are either the Franchise Owner or an employee on an Up Sell bonus and that's all they care about . Please pay that little bit extra up front with a reputable firm as Green Motion will charge you more at the end of the day they have no scruples..

Car hire at Milan airport

Hired a van at Milan airport, the company had the flight number. We had the time listed as 3 hours early, no contact from EasyJet or Milan car hire company and had to repay the full amount to hire same vehicle. No help from EasyJet and cost double in the end. No refund provided.

Easyjet car rental is the Devils Work

Easyjet car rental is everything that is wrong with the UK right now. Hard working British citizens are getting thier hard earned money stolen from them by these thieves which is nothing more than daylight robbery. Nothing obviously changes as from reviewing these reviews they get away with murder literally. I would love to look into how much of an impact companies like this have on someones mental health. The helplessness of loosing your hard earned cash to one or Epsteins British mates who's probably currently sitting in a hottub somewhere in the Cotswolds smoking a Cigar in a hot tub looking at these reviews after laughing all the was from the bank. If your reading this then you've been scammed too. Wake up, do something about it and lets stop these horrific people stealing from us.

EasyJet lists cars that are NOT actually available

EasyJet list cars that are actually NOT available for hire, so you book them at a good price and then a few days later receive an email saying "That car is not available but we have another for 300.00 more money"!!!

I then pushed back, and they then said they could do it, but a few days later they just randomly cancelled it and refunded the fee.

I then went through the whole process again but over the phone and exactly the same thing happened. I cancelled it whilst on the phone and booked another that the call handler knew was available (different view to the public) and they then took both payments from my account and I had to go onto live chat to get the refund two days later which took another 30 mins.

It's been an absolute nightmare experience and feels like a scam.

Shocking company that tells lies

Why have easy jet said there sent me an offer regarding my previous holiday this is not the case never received no offer through email or phone call
This company is terrible and being disabled they have no direct complaint line either which is not good.
Being a disability advocate I would certainly recommend easy jet to any disabled person . And if you respond easy jet please don't say send it to your trust pilot review team they said you'd be in touch within 7 days have not contacted me guess the answer is no. I spent £1600 on a holiday which.was an absolute night mare from begging to the end if you've read my previous review you would see what I was talking about absolute a shame less company . I will be going to the small claims court and if any body has had the same problem take them to court
