I was introduced to Chris and Capital Exploits through George Gammon. Now I am kind of “double dipping” since I am a “rabid” Capital Exploits follower and still subscribe to Chris M. through Gammon and Rebel Capitalist.
Honestly, I love doing my own research. Both Chris and Brad provide lots of sage information, on investments and Global events, that I take into consideration in my research. I am a long-term investor and have been since I started 40 years ago with “boring” small-dollar DRIP purchases of Chevron, Southern Company and Walmart. This has now morphed into a diverse portfolio of individual stocks, ETF’s and smaller speculative plays. I cannot wait for each weeks Insider newsletter. I often read each issue twice and many times will go through archives to reference prior newsletters. Keep up the great fight, Chris and Brad, along with the great Kiwi (“Happy as Larry”) and OZ humor and do whatever it takes to not burn out.

The weekly newsletter offers deep insight from a global perspective which is extremely helpful with both my investment decisions and my understanding of world events in general. Good luck trying to find this in your MSM!

Highly insightful information with geopolitical outlook that helps you to make your own call on the relevance to the way you want to invest. Having said that its rarely that they are not spot on with both their perspective on the politics, the financial impacts and ultimately on the recommended places to invest as a result - Excellent value for both their perspectives and recommendations - I only wish I'd found them sooner the best value advice I've ever received

The best in mapping out Geopolitics and large macro changes lurking beneath the surface. Insightful, informative and will keep you on the right side of the trade.

Real world investment information based on facts, not wishful thinking. You may not like everything you read, but follow the advice given and your investments will grow, even when all the investors following mainstream investing advice are losing money hand over fist. I have become a true believer in asymmetric investing guided by Insider and eagerly await each new newsletter to arrive in my mailbox!

CapEx is one of the best research investment newsletters out there - I subscribe to 3 different providers but look forward to the market commentary from the CapEx team for its humour, politics and investment research, not least to mention the very useful subscriber forum.

Is it worth the money - of course, that shouldn't even be a question - why? Because you have leaders in their field offering a value added service for less than the price of employing your own team - Now that's value!

Part of me doesn't want to recommend them, as I don't want other people getting in on the same quality research but they deserve it...

I love the way you cut through the noise unapologetic. You have a good understanding of how the real world works - that's important in investing.

To be clear, this is a 5 star service. I agree with all those favourable reviews, however if you are considering subscribing to this service, as I have done, your diligence should extend to reading the negative reviews as well!

Now, after a year with Insider, signing up in September 2021, my Insider-derived portfolio is up ~25% over the subsequent 12 months (more if I mark depositary shares to their 'true' value) which is extraordinary versus the MSCI World Index of negative ~24%. The returns are 'nice', everyone loves that, but what do you have to overcome to get there? I.e. what are the pitfalls and negatives of subscribing to Insider? There are 2 things I have identified:

1. The newsletter sounds like the work of an Orwellian-inspired doomsday prepping, conspiracy theorist.

How has this impacted me?
When I first read the newsletter I was taken aback at the sorts of ideas being touted. It was a real shock. What I have come to appreciate is the newsletter as a literary device and an exercise in critical thinking. The Insider content is very different from the tone of the newsletter and is based on sage investing wisdom of those who have come before and experienced the business cycle as investors, so no worries there. If one is shocked at the frankness of the newsletter, you should be equally shocked by what the main stream services consider as 'newsworthy' or 'investable'. I don't agree with everything the newsletter itself has to say, but in an outrageous way the newsletter has given me better balance and re-awakened my ability to think critically and independently. They are thought criminals, punish them.

2. They don't hold your hand and tell you precisely and immediately when they are buying and selling stocks from their private client portfolios, trade alerts can take a while to come out.

How has this impacted me?
I came in expecting quick fixes and to jump onto the next big sector as it rocketed into Memestock territory, it was Uranium stocks moving violently that enticed me to finally sign up. I wanted really polished guidance that spelled things out for me in black and white telling me precisely what to do when to buy like all the other folks do. I didn't get that from Insider. Sin of all sins - I had to work things out for myself.

An understated part of the Insider program is actually the outstanding quantity of data available, and the monthly Q&A sessions essentially as a coaching service work very well. Brad's thoughts are often profound and timeless!

These guys have been banging the drum on this topic since 2016 and so many questions and concerns new subscribers have can actually be answered if one takes the time to read through all of their newsletters and watch all the Q&As. Taken all together they manage the balance really well of giving you all the tools to succeed, but not ever delivering it in a spoon-feeding sort of way. Whether that's how you build a portfolio, how much cash do keep, which sectors do you prefer. These are all personal and unique to every person, but the team walk the line very well. Through them I have become infinitely better at managing my risk and managing my psychology. You have to put in the time though, it's your life, your money, your responsibility. The days of delegating that ownership to a pension fund manager are approaching their end. At some point the 40-year old virgin has to move out of their parent's basement.

Topics clearly explained and how to use the recommendations. I'm already subscriber for quite some time and many of the recommendations work out, but you have to stay long term in the ideas. For example was one topic a coal mine, which traded down-/sideways for years. I lost patience and sold but it would have worked out as the coal price exploded afterwards.

I don't write many reviews about anything or anyone. But because I've just acquired the best subscription in my life I feel like I have to tell others about it.

Subscribing to a newsletter and later to a complete insider program was the best money I've ever spent.

It's been over a year, and I bless that day when I first heard about Capitalist Exploits. Without the guidance of Chris and his crew, I would certainly be lost in this confusing avalanche of advertising of fast wealth creation crap.

Now I sleep well at night knowing I'm well-positioned with my investments.

I came across Chris Macintosh on a finance related podcast and signed up for the OWTW emails, which in turn has led me to taking out a subscription for the 'Insider' service.
I'm a UK pensioner with existing share portfolios held in an ISA account and in a Self Invested Personal Pension drawdown account. These had been steadily losing value for several months but I had no idea whether or not to go to cash. The coherent themed approach of Capitalist Exploits, explained in detail on their website, gives me confidence to be invested for the long term ( I'm planning to live forever ). I'll follow the CapEx gains portfolio as well as I'm able within the limitations of my existing brokerage, switching funds to an Interactive Brokers account as and when I can to gain wider international access. Once set up I'll try to forget it and have confidence in the CapEx expertise. I'm very comfortable with the current themes which chime closely with my instincts.
I balked slightly at the subscription fee but reflected that it was small compared to the weekly changes ( mostly losses ) in my existing portfolio. Worth it to feel confidence in my investments.

I have been a long time reader of the free newsletter and have always agreed with the fundamental 'big picture' thesis. Now that I have subscribed, I am impressed even more. The organization into themes and specific recommendations within those themes is easy to follow and makes sense.
I particularly like the 'dividend' portfolio and appreciate those recommendations as I build my income stream.

... on several interviews and mostly agreeing with his reasoning, I joined Insider as I this are very turbulent times and guidance form someone that appears sane is very needed as I am a novice investor. Since his investment strategy is for LONG term investors, my results in the past several weeks are not relevant. The monthly Q&A is a great way to ask a question and we all benefit.
