Purchased a pair of Zeiss SF 8 x42 binoculars advertised as “Like New”, "Certified Open Box" with a "lifetime warranty." Purchased them via their eBay store after verifying with them via phone and eBay messaging that they were in fact a customer return in unused condition. Immediately after removing the packaging they had rental binos on a big sticker down the side of the box. Opened them up and there on the eyecup was even a demo stamp printed into the plastic. Upon checking the serial number directly with Zeiss UK, the manufacturer confirmed the unit was actually a demo piece from 2017 with just 13 months of warranty remaining. When challenged, the seller admitted in writing they "didn't realise you could find out how old they were." The delivery and return process was an absolute nightmare involving four failed courier attempts despite me being stationary at home for every single window. While a refund was eventually processed via eBay, the company refused to take any professional accountability for the monumental failure, the blatant misrepresentation, or the severe physical distress and health impact the ordeal caused. Incredibly unprofessional data and stock management. Check your serial numbers if buying from here or better yet don’t buy high end used optics from here as you don’t know what you’re getting.

They were willing to sell me a pair of new zeiss sf at under their apparent purchase trade price which I declined but weren’t willing to give even a small compensation gesture.

I recently had a confusing experience with my order, where there was a mix-up regarding stock and the item I originally purchased was not actually available.

At the time I was quite frustrated, especially as I had already gone through the finance process and expected everything to go smoothly.

However, I want to specifically thank Tom, who helped clarify the situation and assisted in trying to resolve things as quickly as possible. His communication was clear and he did his best to support me through what was a stressful situation.

Although the situation is still being resolved, I do appreciate the effort made to try and get things sorted and ensure the order can still be delivered within a suitable timeframe.

Just in time for my college course to start. Very happy with the service and and I would definitely use them again.

Slick mail order process, but I wish I had bought in store to try the Vanguard as whilst they may be technically superior to Helios I now think I would have preferred another Helios as the focus feel is much better on the Helios. Vanguard has infinity to near in 10o of rotation and so very difficult to achieve focus
