Since October 2018, it seemed that I was making career choices that were not the most ideal. After leaving the finance industry, I worked odd jobs trying to find my purpose. Then COVID hit and I was trying to get back involved in the finance industry for the sake of stability. I was laid off 3 times during COVID, had to move out of my apartment, and almost got my car repossessed. Two weeks before I was let go from my prior firm, I get a random text about taking an interview. Thinking it was spam and already having a job, I brushed past it. Then as I heard more and more people at the firm getting laid off, I finally respond to one of Scott’s texts about taking an interview. After the initial interview with Scott, I interviewed with the internal recruiter and then two managers separately. Scott coordinated everything so seamlessly that it almost felt too good to be true. Then, the position I was originally recruited for was bumped up to a senior position and that would not have been possible without Scott. Hint: I took the offer! He was there for me every step of the way and answered my questions, calmed me down when I got nervous, and is still there to this minute checking in to see if my equipment has been delivered! I told him I have never in my life given a review on anything, but I was so beyond gracious, blessed, and downright impressed with his ability to make things happen. To say that I was lucky to have the chance to work with Scott during this process, would be a massive understatement. To go from where I was at the end of 2018 to where I am now, my dream job at my dream company, is still something I haven’t been fully able to process. Ultimately, Scott’s persistence in the beginning sending me text after text until I took the interview is why I am sitting here today saying that this will change the entire scope of my future. Scott took calls and responded to texts no matter the time of day and even if he was busy, made me feel like I was his #1 priority due to his methodical and relentless ability to communicate effectively. If you have other recruiters like Scott in your office, this firm will be around for many years to come; if not, I’d recommend Scott helping out train other recruiters! With the professionalism Scott displayed in every communication, I’d assume the prior and I will recommend Percy to any of my friends or colleagues that are seeking a new chapter. I have worked with a ton of recruiters the last few years and was inevitably always put on the back burner. Scott was the exact opposite. He was so helpful and responsive that at times I wondered if he had any other candidates in the pipeline! Just kidding, but in all seriousness, thank you Scott and thank you Percy. When I say this experienced has changed my life, it’s incomprehensible. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!
