Steam Guard is enabled the moment the account exists, which starts the clock on Steam's trade hold, and we hold the account while that time passes instead of selling it early. That waiting is the product. Accounts are sorted into tiers by how many days of Steam Guard they have actually served: fresh-made, 15+ days past the initial trade hold, and 60+ days for marketplaces that set their own minimum account age. Two further tiers add recorded playtime and profile level for trades where a bare profile invites questions. What you receive. On purchase the full credential set appears in your dashboard: the Steam login and password, the account's own email inbox and its password, and the Steam Guard material, including the shared secret, identity secret and revocation code, so the authenticator moves to your device and you can detach Guard yourself. Please note that Steam applies a short trading restriction when an authenticator is moved to a new device, and a longer one if Guard is removed, so plan the handover around it.
