Searched for flight through Google Flights, BuyMyTrip was the cheapest option, which was only slightly cheaper than booking with Cathay Pacific directly, so I booked online. Upon booking, I received an email that an e-ticket for the tickets I booked would be issued in 4-24hrs. The next morning, I received about 6 calls that were listed as spam calls, called them back and one
representative said that original prices are not available and need to pay more to book. Upon searching same flight using Google Flights, the flight had risen in price by 2k as well as on Cathay website!!! I don't know what they did but I could not find the same flight at the prices yesterday and after getting bombarded by their calls and having multiple frustrating phone exchanges, they finally gave me the confirmation email for my booking after paying $150 more for each ticket.

There was a minor problem with processing the payment for my booking and Vivek was very patient in helping me.

I bought a ticket online ( Calgary - south Africa) only to find out that that it was somehow restricted.An agent called and explained in CONFIRMATION that the ticket needed upgrading to basic economy. He also explained clearly the advantages and disadvantages of both,and why the ticket booked online was restricted...?...I was not happy about the price difference to upgrade but the agent clarified the advantage and hence I upgraded.I would advise that from this experience it is obviously smarter to call the Agents before booking online to avoid unplanned price deviation.Mr Henry Wilson,my agent in this case..had a professional demeanor and I enjoyed chatting with him.Great Job Henry !
