Great service and simple to use product
I have now used Bumper twice, first time to purchase tyres from Kwik Fit, and then for some expensive car repairs and MOT on my Peugeot car. It is refreshingly easy to use and does what it says on the tin, splits big payments into 3 manageable chunks with no interest, and its easy to manage, and payments debit from your account every month on the same date. Customer service when you do need it is accessible via live chat and phone. It makes larger bills more affordable which is a great thing at the moment, with cost of living and would'nt hesitate to recommend to anyone

Spread payment of an unexpected bill with no interest charges.
Helped when my car repairs to pass the MOT were much more expensive than I had anticipated. Paying over a period of months with no interest charges was very unexpected and useful.

Absolutely disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful! Refusing to cancel a warranty on a car I no longer own!
I am absolutely appalled by Bumper's treatment of me.
I purchased a vehicle in March 2026 through Zuto, who also arranged my Bumper warranty. Within three months, the vehicle developed serious mechanical faults. An independent inspection subsequently uncovered evidence that the diesel particulate filter (DPF) had been illegally tampered with.
Following months of disputes, the dealer agreed to unwind the vehicle purchase, and the car has since been collected.
I NO LONGER HAVE THE VEHICLE, YET BUMPER STILL EXPECTS ME TO PAY FOR ITS WARRANTY!
Despite explaining the circumstances, Bumper has refused to cancel the warranty, citing their 14-day cooling-off period.
This is not a case of a customer simply changing their mind. The vehicle was returned following serious mechanical defects and evidence of illegal tampering. These are exceptional circumstances entirely outside my control.
I have already endured months of financial hardship, stress, loss of transport and disruption to my employment. Yet Bumper's response has been to insist that I remain financially responsible for a warranty associated with a vehicle I no longer possess.
Where is the fairness, common sense or customer care?
A 14-day cooling-off period should not be used as a blanket response to an exceptional situation without properly considering the circumstances.
I am now pursuing a formal complaint and will escalate the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service if necessary. I will also be seeking reimbursement of warranty payments where appropriate.
My experience raises serious concerns about how Bumper treats customers when things go wrong.
I would strongly advise anyone considering taking out a warranty with this company to think very carefully.

We think there’s a misunderstanding about our role, which our complaints team explained in our emails. Bumper is a payment service; we provide drivers a way to split the cost of their purchases into monthly, interest-free instalments instead of paying in full upfront. We don’t sell or provide the warranty you bought from Zuto, so any request to cancel it, and any refund, is Zuto’s decision under the terms of the warranty.
The 14-day period you mention comes from the terms of the warranty you bought, which Zuto has confirmed. It isn’t part of Bumper’s terms, and it wasn’t a decision made by Bumper to decline your request to cancel.
We understand you’re unhappy that Zuto has declined your cancellation. You’re welcome to seek any third-party advice you think necessary to take your concerns further. Please note that Bumper isn’t responsible for handling requests to cancel the warranty you bought from Zuto, so we can’t escalate this further. To discuss the cancellation or a refund, please contact Zuto directly.
