Gun stopped working 10 months after buying it. Thankfully it has a one year warranty however because I purchased the item from Amazon, the company didn’t honour the warranty and just ignored my emails.

Hello all I just wanted to give my opinion on the purchase I made for my bug a salt pick,
I picked the bug a salt
"Widow Maker" mostly because I didnt want the expensive task of having to keep buying CO2 cartridges ,that being said , and guys this is just my opinion, everyone has there right to have an opinion , and mine is
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE WIDOW MAKER , very close up it kills flies ,but say you have 3 or 4 of those knats or mosquitoes buzzing around your light, you can actually see the salt spraying out ,yet maybe after 15 shots you will start knocking the little bugger's down.
I'm not happy at all , and if I could get my $80 dollars back I would , but I kept it laying around probably too long for a refund. An $80 dollar fly swatter that doesn't always kill very well. I'm sure the other guns with CO2 work a lot better , but guys don't waste your money on the widow maker, its fun for about an hour, and thats about it. I will say the later site is cool. But your better off buying 80 dollar store fly swatters.

Got my bug a salt 3.0 combat edition today. Had about 20 flies on porch. This Black fly edition went on its first combat mission. Wiped them all out in less than 2 minutes. Interestingly, it kills them but doesn't splatter them. Range, about 3 feet. Only complaint--really hard trigger pull, after 25 shots finger gets sore.

My Bug Assault shredder didn’t even last a year. This was a Father’s Day gift in 2025 and the first one failed within 3 months. The issue is with the seal for the CO2 cartridge. The first one failed and the team at bug assault were very nice and mailed me a replacement unit after I mailed my old unit back to them. The second unit has lasted about 8 months. Same issue. Replacing a CO2 cartridge is an issue. The first two times went well but when I went to replace the cartridge the third time it failed to seal and all the CO2 leaked out. Four cartridges later I gave up. Now I am stuck with a bunch of CO2 cartridges and a lot of the salt reloads for the shredder and no shredder. I threw the thing in the trash. What a joke. No one does product testing any longer.

After nearly a year of use, I still consider the Gold Digger v3 gun my go-to for bug problems and outdoor toys. Recently, it won’t discharge salt, causing bugs to fly away due to air pressure. I emailed customer service, provided the requested information, and shipped the defective gun back for analysis. I received a call confirming the shipment of a replacement. The return process was seamless, and the replacement arrived quickly.

The customer service team at Bug-A-Salt is absolutely fantastic. I had an issue with my order and delivery and Claudia from their service helped get everything sorted. The product is awesome! Good power, looks awesome. Bugs will regret coming into my house now!

Best gift we bought this Christmas. Was a bit worried that I might have wasted $80, but me and my teenaged kids had great fun with it. As the reviews that I read said, you need to be within a couple of feet of your target, so you need to be patient. Makes you feel like a big game hunter (but with tiny game). There might be more effective pest control methods, but none more fun.

Bought as a Christmas present so not used the item yet, but what's the point of sticking it in a plain cardboard box for shipping, and then sticking a label on it saying EXACTLY what's inside? Absolutely braindead! No point wrapping the bugger now. Have a serious word with your warehouse! Stupid.

So I had a bad review up on here and then my son told me how to use it properly and since him telling me I have killed all the flys I've seen. So sorry for the bad review earlier. So now I love this gun 😁
PS don't be so close to the fly when shooting it it works much better.

I’ve got all sorts of guns, I’ve got an air rifle of the top drawer sort, I’ve had shotguns, bbs, air soft, every sort, I bought my bug a salt under protest with myself thinking it’s going to be rubbish but get one in case, and I’m so glad I did, it’s brilliant and a lot more effective than I thought. Best thing I’ve bought in years, threw my electric bat away, I love it. And if you can’t get any flies in, get someone to throw raisins up and try and hit them, it’s like clay pigeon shooting. 😀

Delivered via Royal Mail. Arrived 2 working days after the order. Some of the reviews mention it doesn’t kill flies but the instructions do make it clear you have to be within 3ft. It definitely does kill them if you’re close enough. Bought the laser with it but works great without too. Only had it a few days so can’t say anything about the longevity of it.

I was genuinely excited to try Bug-A-Salt, but the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. I ordered expecting the stated 2–4 day delivery time — in fact, I even built in a 5-day buffer just in case. Turns out, they not only miss their own deadlines, they don’t take any responsibility for it and make zero effort to make it right.

Summer is exactly when you’d want this product the most, yet that seems to be when they fail the hardest. I can’t even tell you if it’s a good product because now I’ll have to cancel my order. Honestly, until you can get it at the same price on Amazon (with reliable shipping), I’d recommend holding off. Great concept, but terrible follow-through

The bad reviews makes no sense. Works a dream, had mine for three years now and still works a charm. Depending on aize of the flies you have to alter the distance. If the fly is small, go a bit further back because you’ll splatter it. If it’s fat and chunky, get a bit closer- you might also need a couple of shots, but it’s fine as you’ll probably knacker its wings and it’ll be slightly immobilised.
Quit complaining and just learn to use it properly and it’ll be the best fly cancelling tool ever!

I love my bug a salt, arrived just over a week ago and stupidly left it hidden behind the air fryer which melted the salt hopper and part of the body. Filled in the warranty form and they’re sending me a new one out even though it was completely my fault. Just bought the laser too for added accuracy. I use kosher salt, table salt doesn’t really kill as quick as i’d like. Very impressed by this fun bit of kit.

It just the most reliable tool/toy ever. Works perfectly going on 5 years.i have both the rifle and the hand revolver.
For the price, its worth every penny. Just love it!!

Holy cow crap Batman! I looooove this gun, day one and over 50 flies were shot and I was able to introduce their a**holes to their brains, the gun is accurate and easy to use and the best thing brought for me in ages 😁 if you want to send flies to fly hell and in millions of pieces you need to get this gun. #letaholesmeetbrain
