I submitted all the details that were required from me to open an account. They rejected it and they were not allowed to tell me why. But they said they would let me know if the decision ever changed. As if I was desperate to work with them.

I attempted to open a non-resident account with BTG Pactual over the course of nearly two months, and the experience was consistently frustrating.

Despite submitting all requested documentation multiple times, there was a clear lack of coordination and ownership throughout the process. Communication was inconsistent, and different representatives provided conflicting information at various stages.

For an institution of BTG’s size and reputation, I expected a much more structured and professional onboarding process, especially for international clients.

In the end, I chose to move forward with another bank that was able to onboard me efficiently and with far greater clarity.

BTG may have strong investment capabilities, but their onboarding process for non-residents requires significant improvement.

PIOR Corretora Que Tive o DESPRAZER de conhecer!!

Tenho conta em dezenas de bancos, corretoras, tanto no Brasil quanto no exterior, a minha experiência com a BTG foi PÉSSIMA.

Eu deixei de negociar pela corretora devido a péssima qualidade de serviços da BTG, plataforma travando durante negociações, divergência de saldos e atendimento deficitário.

Hoje estão me cobrando valores relacionados a plataforma que eu tinha na época, só na BTG isso acontece, não cancelaram minha plataforma que na época era gratís e querem lucrar encima disso agora.

No dia 21/08/2025 fui vítima de um golpe e perdi R$ 7.200,00. Fiz dois pagamentos:

R$ 3.100,00 via boleto (PagSeguro) - em 20/08, através da conta da minha empresa pelo BTG;

R$ 4.100,00 via Pix (BTG Pactual, conta da minha empresa).

Assim que percebi a fraude, registrei Boletim de Ocorrência n 2261091/2025 e acionei imediatamente o BTG. A resposta do banco foi que não poderiam devolver o dinheiro porque os valores já haviam sido movimentados. Fato que não foi comprovado pra mim em nenhum momento.
O mesmo ocorreu em relação ao PagSeguro, que sequer me deu um canal de contato efetivo (não tenho conta lá).

No entanto, o Banco Central deixa claro que há mecanismos de bloqueio e devolução em caso de fraude via Pix.

Estou extremamente insatisfeita com a falta de ação das instituições. Solicito que BTG e PagSeguro revejam a postura, realizem o ressarcimento e implementem medidas mais eficazes para proteger clientes de golpes.

I have had a horrible experience with this institution. I was looking to open a bank account with them and they only allow to do it through their app. After a lengthy process, submitting all my details and documents, they reject my request to open an account with no explanation whatsoever. I even tried contacting them, but they refused to give me a reason. I understand that no one should be forced to open an account for every client, but providing the customers with high level reasons for the rejection should be common courtesy. That constitutes a complete lack of transparency and respect towards the client.

Precisei fazer um PIX de um valor maior que o meu limite e o processo para aumentar o limite para essa transação em específico foi bem eficiente. Tive um atendimento rápido e eficaz, agradeço ao time
