Ordered directly from their website

Ordered directly from their website, based in USA, charged me 70 dollars for shipping which I thought was excessive, but guessed covered shipping to UK, but then had to pay another 55 pound in UK customs, don't bother ordering from them

Don't buy your horses here!

Last year I bought some horses from the website, in October. I haven't seen the horses yet, over a half year later. There is no response when I try to get in contact with them.
That was 205 USD I never gonna see again, so don't buy from them. It's not worth it.

Poor customer service

I purchase a club membership for my horse loving granddaughter as a Christmas gift in November of 2023. The thing she was most excited about was receiving the Young Riders magazine. It is now April and she has yet to receive an issue. I called the company in February and was given some song and dance about when the magazine is available. I emailed the company this week and was told that the magazine comes from the publisher and not them. I feel bad for my granddaughter because she checks the mailbox every day. Wish I would have read the other reviews before I subscribed. Feel that this was a waste of money and a rip-off. Also the merchandise is very expensive.
I can buy most of the things she likes through a more reputable company. I do not recommend Breyer.

I joined the Breyer Collectors Club…

I joined the Breyer Collectors Club with the expectation that I could buy their club-only models. I did not realize that they do not make enough horses to fill all requests! If you don't scramble to your computer at the moment the model is released, you are out of luck! The model is "SOLD OUT." Don't pay money to join a club that promises models but cannot deliver. When I complained to Breyer, the customer service answer was "well, there will be more models offered during the year."

Don't Expect Service From Customer Service

My daughter received a gift that was supposed to include the book and the horse. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unable to give it back to the person who purchased the gift to return it to the store, but that was the only solution that Breyer Customer Service had. The Customer Service agent was unwilling to help us because they don't sell the items separately, which I understand, but seeing as the package is unopened, it was a production error on Breyers part. All the agent could say was sorry, we don't sell anything separately. No other solution. I have had many Breyer horses in my day and have given many as a gift, but due to the lack of concern for when things don't go according to plan and customer service only wanting to sell you an item instead of provide service, I will look for gifts elsewhere.

Get Off Your High Horse Breyer

This company needs to get their act together. I'm only giving one star because the actual artists that sculpt for them are incredible, which is not actually a reflection on Breyer as they have to outsource that talent. The paint job quality, ordering process and customer service is seriously lacking.

This company obviously knows they have somewhat of a monopoly and don't mind overcharging or not making things right when they are at fault. In my most recent interaction, which will be my last, I asked to upgrade my online ticket for Breyer Fest because their website mislead me to think I had still had access to online classes on a lower tier, which I did not. I didn't care which 'free' model I received, I just wanted to pay the difference so I could access the 'free' PRE-RECORDED courses. My first inquiry was ignored and my second denied.

Needless to say, their customer service is as useless as a screen door on a submarine. This issue, as well as others I've had in the past, could have absolutely been resolved easily, but they are either too lazy, or the company itself will not allow (it's unclear which one). The quality of their product is not worth the price they charge and the lack of care when handling orders is ridiculous. Breyer = Greed. Learn how to run a reputable business.

I understand orders get messed up…

I understand orders get messed up sometimes but please correct them in a timely manner and monitor your email better. When it takes over a year to fix one mistake and in less than 6 months, you mess up my order again. By forgetting to send all of what was ordered? Come on. You CAN do better!

Never Again

Our family's experience since Oct 2022 was our first and will, certainly, be our last.
It's rather convenient that they don't have reviews directly on their Web site (or, if they do, I couldn't find such a section)-- THAT's where I'd intended to leave this review.
We ordered a model, and the item arrived damaged. Nor worries, right?
We let them know that it arrived damaged and that we would like to return-and-replace it. Via email, they informed us that a return shipping label would be emailed to us in a couple of days, and they'd ship the replacement as soon as they received and processed the returned item.
We packaged and sent the defective item off straight away. That was early Nov.
After three weeks of radio silence, I began following up via email.
Nothing.
My final email follow up was late Dec. No response. Finally, I connected with someone when I called this day. I told her that while we initially set out to process a return-and-replace, we now only wanted to settle the return.
She asked for the order no., confirmed the product, and then ended with an "Okay, we'll issue you a refund."
Rightly or wrongly, I was a bit upset that there was no inquiry to understand what happened or what went wrong; no interest in why we no longer wanted a replacement; no apology, no acknowledgement of all the time this took nor any acknowledgement of all the messages we sent, trying to learn the status of our return-and-replace.
When I brought it up, she stumbled to shift the blame to the warehouse, intimating that the communication failure was theirs.
I have no idea who reads the messages or how these Breyer-store people communicate with each other, but I was genuinely surprised that the manufacturer of such expensive products, who pride themselves on the distinct artistry of their horse models, would relate to their customers in such a distasteful way. Upon coming to this site to write our review, our experience was confirmed by the number of other reviews we read from dissatisfied customers.
We cannot even say our saga is truly over because while she SAID the refund would be issued right away (today, Dec. 29), that does remain to be seen. Definitely don't want to count my chicks before they're hatched given Breyer's M.O. so far ...
Unless you're able to visit a store or attend an event
where you can buy a defect-free model in person, do not buy from Breyer.

This company is a totally a joke. So many times let me down and this time they made an appointment on 30.11.22 but turned up on 1.12.22 when no one was home, they left a not that no one answer the phone-but they never rang me. So pathetic-they shouldn't exist

Pathetic customer service.

I purchased a product from this company direct almost two weeks ago and have spoken to a customer service representative.
Not only was the representative smug but the horse still has not shipped. You get the idea they think their shix don't stink.
My six year old daughter wakes up every morning to see if her horse has shipped and I have to give her the same answer about the horse she's already named. She is an avid collector of horses.
Such a disappointment!

Amazing as long as you don't have to use customer service

For the most part Breyerhorses is a good store but their customer service is horrible. Normally when I buy straight from the website the orders go through fine and I receive it a few days later. Whenever I had a problem and reached out using their Contact Us form I got no response despite it saying, "We'll get back to you within one business day." This shows me that either; this function doesn't work or they do not care about their customers. I hope they can fix this in the future, for now I'm going to hold off on buy from the website.

I made an order at their website in mid…

I made an order at their website in mid October. First of all delivery is supposed to be in 4-7 days, only part of the order shipped in two weeks. The order was a play set and two accessories to go with the play set.

I called and emailed and all they could tell me is the main part of my order (one of the play sets) was on back order. It never said it was on back order on the website when I purchased it and was not listed as back order on the website. Still available for purchase.
So the play set never shows up after three emails and I don't know how many calls. On Christmas eve I called it a wash. The play set was a birthday present meant for Nov 17th. The rush out and grab it Barbie was not a win. And I called again just to cancel the whole thing and get a refund.

Customer service said the started a ticket for the refund. Well more calls and emails where nothing happened. On January 7th it shows up. What am I going to do with this stuff now?
And no I'm not saving it for another holiday. She doesn't want it now. So in Three and a half months they could not complete my order nor can I seem to get a refund.
I also want to point out that the same play set came up in a push email from the company that I could order it for next day. If they could do that why couldn't they complete my order in three months? Why couldn't they send me the play set I had apparently on back order then. Why now? why after I called and asked for a refund?

Terrible Customer Service

I received my order 12/15/2021. I paid extra for gift wrapping. It was wrapped but it was a terrible job to say the least. Also you would think since the gift item was a Christmas snow globe to give as a Christmas gift & it was a week before Christmas when I received it that the gift would have been wrapped in Christmas paper… instead it’s looked like a birthday gift. I wish I could post photos here to justify how terrible it was executed. I was not happy since I paid extra for the wrapping. I do not usually pay extra for wrapping gifts but I thought it would help me out with all the gift wrapping I had to do this season... instead it has only caused me more work & grief as I am still dealing with this almost 2 weeks later... here's how this situation has panned out & has yet to be resolved. I have contacted customer service 5 times since 12/16/2021... 1 time by email - no response, 3 times by phone - I was told that my issue was “in process" but I’ve yet to receive any response from management on how this issue will be resolved. Today (12/27/2021), I contacted Breyer via FaceBook Messenger and was told again for the 4th time "We can confirm that your information has been forwarded to our Customer Service team manager." I have also tried to call customer service today... the phone line seems to be either troubled or Breyer has blocked my phone number. I have been VERY patient up until this point. I know businesses have difficulty with staffing employees right now. Plus it is Christmas time. I am not the one to typically complain especially about petty things such as gift wrapping but I did this time & as a long time customer of Breyer, I thought I would at least have received a call back. Just FYI, I have the full collection of holiday horses plus many more & was planning to continue the collection along with the addition of the snow globe collection to pass down to my niece. I am very unhappy with Breyer's Customer Service & very disappointed with what it has become. Word of advice... take care of your customers, it pays off down the road.

We ordered a couple of horses in Nov…

We ordered a couple of horses in Nov for our daughter's birthday a month later and we have not got our order. Reminded their customer service multiple times, but they do not even reply! Don't know what to do other than stop buying from them.

Breyer horses are amazing

Breyer horses are amazing! So is their customer service! Each time I buy from them, I feel as though I'm buying from family. The attention to each order is simply astounding.

Breyer horses: Over all review.

I LOVE horses! And Breyer is just the place for me! They have many handcrafted model horses from ponies to Clydesdales. They also have riders and other animals. But they are known for the horses. There are three main scales of model horses Breyer makes.

Traditional: 1:9 scale

Classic: 1:12 scale

Stablemates: 1:32 scale

The traditional horses are the biggest scale and from there, they just get smaller. Breyer also makes decorator models that usually are made of clear plastic or glass. They have special designs on them and are more for people who don't play with them.

There are also holiday horses. Breyer makes a new and unique horse every Christmas.

This is a great company with many different horses, for many differant people. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
