We recently bought our campervan from Bolton Vans and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. We had been looking at various suppliers for quite a while and the kit that Bolton Vans install ticked all our boxes and were within our budget. We made contact with Richard and he suggested we go along to look at a van which was complete and was due to be handed over later that day. Then he showed us around the yard and we were able to choose a van that was in stock or he said he would source one for us if we had any specific requirements. We chose a van that was already painted grey and white, and could be completed in 3-4 weeks. We also had the option to choose a colour and that would have taken a bit longer. As the van we chose was only complete on the outside, we were able to choose all of the internal fittings colours and specs. The handover was really easy and we were shown how everything works. After we had collected the van, we had a couple of minor issues, but these were quickly resolved with no hassle at all. Overall the quality of the van and the the kit that has been installed is fantastic and it has been a pleasure dealing with the team at Bolton Vans.

If you thinking about getting into Van Life and VW camping but your a little nervous then our advice is - go for it!
We have been caravan people for years but as our children got older we wanted to have experienced the VW CamperVan life together.
After a great deal of research and visits to other businesses we found Richard and Flora and the Bolton Vans team.
They made the experience so easy, fun and all in a very stress free, no pressure beautiful surrounding too.
They are lots of options for you to enjoy thinking over to make your van your own but Richard was always on hand to offer advice and suggestions. The van is beautiful and turns heads wherever we go and the quality is fantastic.
We have had the van now nearly a year and although it was quite a big change to the ‘luxury’ of a caravan (there are 4 of us and a large daft dog) we soon fell in love with the sense of adventure it brings. We use the van as an everyday car and I can honestly say I’ve never driven it without a big smile on my face.

This year we are going one step further and planning to tour the NC500 and drive through France, Switzerland and Italy in our first European trip!
Throughout Richard has always been on hand for any advice support and to answer my many uneducated daft questions!

Highly Recommend Bolton Vans without hesitation.
We went to look at some of Richard’s vans (he has some lovely vans) but he didn’t have stock of exactly what I wanted (I’m very fussy) so he offered to source and convert me a van to exactly the spec I wanted allowing me to pick the colours and styles of everything.
His timescales were beyond reasonable, taking only 6 weeks from him getting the base van.
He kept me in the loop every step of the way, always responding to my texts and calls. The workmanship of the conversion is excellent and the end result is I have a van that I absolutely LOVE. Even after I have bought the van home Richard has been at the end of the phone to answer my questions about little things I couldn’t remember how to work.

We are new to the world of Camper Vans. While searching for a van that ticked all our boxes we found Bolton Vans.
We visited them at the end of November and after a good look around all the vans available to buy we asked Richard if he could convert us a T6 to our own specification. Not only did he agree to this but he and his team did it all within a month and WOW they didn't disappoint. Our T6 is absolutely perfect and we love every thing about it.
I would recommend Bolton Vans to everyone. Richard is both helpful and abliging and the van is just amazing.
Richard's Vans are priced so reasonably and are build to such a high standard that it would be hard to imagine buying one from anywhere else in the future.

After over a year of looking for a van we finally found a deal that we loved from Boltonvans. We went to look at the vans Richie had in stock, and decided to get him to source us one with the lower millage on that we were wanting.
Never in a million years did I think we would be able to get exactly what we wanted. We got to choose the interior and all the details like the wheels, exterior van colour. Richie was super helpful whilst I spent ages choosing all the colours, sending over ideas and images of new stock etc.
Some of the other companies we looked were lacking in customer service and felt like they were more interested in meeting sales figures then helping you get the right van.
Looking forward to going camping and all the adventures.

Just purchased a T6.1 conversion from Bolton Vans.
Quality conversion on a very good van to a high spec. Comfortably answered all my questions and still does. Genuinely impressed with the whole process from first viewing to purchase. Definitely recommend Richie if you’re looking to buy a campervan.

Just purchased a VW T6 conversion from Bolton Vans (Richie) and can’t thank him enough. We choose the van we wanted then went onto to spec the conversion to our specific needs.

The process from buying the van to collecting was amazing Richie couldn’t do enough for us he even went above and beyond and had the van completed in such a short deadline as we booked a trip so we could experience a couple of nights away in the van.

We absolutely love our van and would like to thank Bolton Vans so much for giving us our dream van and a hassle free experience.

I have been wanting a VW T6 campervan for some time, after looking around on Marketplace, ebay and Autotrader etc for months on end I became disheartened as the vans either sold in hours or were not as good as pictured.

Whilst search I came across Boltonvans. I called and spoke to Richard the owner who came across as very knowledgeable and very genuine, so made an appointment to go and look. Within minutes of getting there I knew I have found 'my' van, he wasn't actually the van I went to view but one I saw peering at me from the back and I just fell in love.

He is the most beautiful VW T6, two tone in colour, perfect body work and the brand new custom layout was just perfect. Obviously I was very skeptical at first with spending such a huge amount on a van but Richard didn't pressure me at all. Within hours of viewing I had called Richard back and placed my deposit.

Collection was so easy, full service history, and full warranty. There was a couple of additional jobs I needed such as a tow bar adding but this was all sorted ready for collection the following week.

As always you are going to get teething problems especially with used vehicles and unluckily the water pump went within a couple of months of purchasing my van, but with the warranty in place I had no problem getting this fixed along with the addition of the timing belt. This I had done at my local garage so no messing around trying to find a new garage and the warranty company took care of the full cost.

To say I am overjoyed with my van is an understatement, I absolutely love him, I feel so proud and excited each time we drive out. He is also my main vehicle so used every day and from a none van driver I'm finding him so easy to drive.

The best feeling for me is knowing that he has never been used as a camper by anybody else, everything inside is brand new and from the minute I picked him up he felt like home.

Would I recommend Boltonvans to others? most definitely without a doubt! in fact I already have and my friend also purchased a VW T6 off Richard this past summer.

I can honestly rate Boltonvans 100% and looking forward to spending many years touring in mine.

I've bought a couple of vans from Bolton Vans, always reasonably priced and not had any problems. Richard was easy to deal with and found me what I was looking for to my budget. Their conversions are top quality as well.

My wife and I had been looking for a VW T6 campervan conversion for sometime and had researched the internet and in person at various locations across the North West, which was all very frustrating.

We especially wanted to have a new conversation so that we could decided on certain specifications and additions.

When viewing online I happened to stumble across Bolton Vans, which are a local family run business near us (Wigan).

Looking online the camper vans looked absolutely amazing!

I made contact with the owner, Richard and even though it was a bank holiday Monday, he was more than happy to meet up with us and show us the vans he was currently working on.

On arrival Richard was friendly, polite and really knowledgeable about the vans and conversions.

When my wife and I saw the camper vans we were completely blown away, they were spectacular! This was really helpful for me, because prior to seeing these, my wife had been a bit apprehensive about buying such a van but on seeing these she was immediately hooked.

Whilst talking to Richard, he didn’t push for any sale, he just showed us round them, explained how the internal components worked and outlined some optional extras we could have.

On deciding to purchase a van we were fortunate enough to be able to decided on the colour, the type of alloy wheels and added an awning (for an additional cost).

During the conversion process, Richard kept us up to date throughout and even sent pictures of the conversion and a video of it being sprayed.

On pickup day my wife and I were so excited. When we sent the bank transfer across for the van there was an issue with our bank sending the cash across. Richard was so helpful and understanding and even sent us on our way with the van even though the transaction still hadn’t gone through. Later that evening Richard called us to say the cash had come through and wished us all the best and to enjoy the van.

The van really is outstanding!! Everyday I drive the van I have a smile on my face… it is a proper head turner.

I have not had any issues with the van since we purchased it.

Due to Richard being so approachable I have since been in contact with him for advice when we were away camping: how to maintain the leisure battery when off grid etc… Richard quickly came back to me and gave me some options to help my situation.

The overall experience of this purchase was excellent. I found Richard to be friendly, polite and more than happy to help. The van is amazing.

Put a deposit on a beautiful camper, unfortunately my circumstances have changed and I was unable to complete the purchase.

Richard was very understanding and refunded the deposit without any fuss. Very descent person to deal with which is a breath of fresh air in the motor trade

Picked up the camper van back in July and I have deliberatley left it a few months to leave a review so I could get some use out of it and give an honest review. Having upgraded from a T2 and seeing the disappointment on my daughters face when we regularly broke down on route to campsites I wanted to upgrade to something modern.

The van has been excellent, we spent a few months browsing the market prior to purchasing ours and considering this was a new conversion on a low milage 67 VW it was by far the best value for money. The quality of the conversion is fantastic, with new wheels, 2 tone respray and a sporty bumper and grill the van feels like it's just left the show room. The rock and roll bed and the passenger swivel seat are so simple to use and very comfortable and the pop top goes up with ease. Most importantly my 5 year old daughter loves it.

A catalogue of lies, deceit, false claims, false advertising. Please please be aware of this unethical and truly awful company- Run by Ritchie Worrall.

I travelled a very long way to purchase a camper van from here, various agreements on the MOT status, mileage, general condition of the van were all false. Ritchie (the owner) lied, went against specific invoice wording to demand more money out of the overall sale, provided a faulty vehicle unsafe for traveling home in (no functioning brake lights - I was unable to test this when collecting the van).

When asked for a refund under 24hours after purchase, Ritchie went against trading standards and said this is not something that they offer; The van had an engine management fault light come on under 24hours after purchase - I was convinced by him to get this looked at locally and that he would of course cover the costs to get corrected. This cost me £1200 to correct and he agreed to cover- which he never did. Consistent lies, upon lies were spun.

Worryingly he also advertises vans with 12 month conversion warranty and promises to send details of this when the purchase is made- this of course never turns up.

There is very little in terms of reviews on this company online - and I can see have only been trading for 6 months. I truly urge anyone considering purchasing a van from this awful company to avoid at all costs. At the very very least, ensure every single little detail is documented. Do not engage in any sales related discussions via text message or over the phone.

As for the van- the build was to an ok standard.
