We had a cold call offering a free inspection of our solar system. The caller said that they were being paid by MCS to do the checks, which were a requirement of the FIT system. I checked with MCS who confirmed that they never make such payments. So the call was a pack of lies and we will not be taking up the offer from Bluon.

We had a visit on the 25th March this year from Daniel Smith, who explained very comprehensively, clearly and sensititively to my husband, the reasons why we needed a new voltage optimiser. We had been unsure about other providers reasons for reccomending a replacement. Daniel' s manner was most humane,warm and friendly, and he advised a better solution than other companies had suggested.this being considered

They cold called me a few days ago and made me think it was an official call regarding my feed in tariff and said they would check everything was okay with the installation. I asked if they were trying to sell anything and they said no. On the day the engineer tested the equipment and said one item was faulty and needed replacing at a cost of over £3000 At this stage he tried to set a date to have the work done. I said I needed to investigate further because I didn’t believe it would cost that much and I didn’t know anything about the company. With that he was out the house like a shot. I am an 80 year old woman on my own and the we’re targeting vulnerable people. Disgusting.

Recent review on my system it was claimed that I needed a regulator in the DC section between the Panels and the Inverter and the cost £3700 but reduced to 3084 if I gave the go ahead then.
A second opinion Obtained was that it was unusual to need a regulator there but without checking he could not say for certain it was or was not needed. However he did say that the price quoted was three times more than needed. I will not be proceeding

I'm sorry to report another instance of a cold call to a older person resulting in a free FIT Solar system inspection visit that, surprise surprise, resulted in a quote for over £2,000. The reasoning given was completely incorrect (242v is too high the supply voltage is supposed to be 230v, see this sticker here.) and hard sell of "the chancellor is likely to put VAT back on solar so get the work done before the budget".
Despite our training, my mother-in-law was rather taken in by the hard sell but fortunately did speak to us before committing to any work and we were able to explain.

We were impressed with the service provided by Dan Smith, Lenny and Ash.
Dan gave us a lot of time explaining the benefits of solar panels.

What a strange visit.
The Bluon operative, James, clearly thought I was a moron, contradicting every statement I made.
Was here for 15 minutes, filled out a form and pressed the buttons on the inverter a couple of times.
Then left in a hurry, more interested in playing golf that afternoon he said.

The installation was smooth and easy, thanks to Bluon’s Energy clear instructions. The batteries fit right into my existing system without any issues. Since the upgrade, I’ve noticed I can store a lot more solar energy, which is great—especially during cloudy days or at night.

I highly recommend Bluon Energy to anyone looking to maintain or check the health of there solar system, excellent customer service and trustworthy company.

The whole experience has been superb from beginning to end. Surveyor came to explain everything about the company, installation, power production and costs. Scaffolders came on day one, solar installation day two. Scaffolding removed later. Installers were friendly and helpful. One battery was faulty but the engineer went back to HQ, collected another one and returned to fit it, all on the same day. All paperwork and certificates came quickly so I could get on to my supplier. Follow up calls to make sure everything is running well. I wish more companies would take a look at how Bluon energy run a business. First class

Second time of having Bluon round, no complaints and have been happy with all the work and explanations

I had some work done last year as they were recomended and ive got to say I was more than happy with the sevice..I recently called them back as I was thinking about having a battery added ..I was plesantly surprised when they advised against it due to it not being beneficial..not something you come across often. So I would highly recommend

My mum was contacted by Bluon Energy by phone, despite being registered not to receive cold calls.

She agreed to let them carry out a free check of her solar panels and when they came they were really friendly, but they told her there was a fire risk. She felt pressured into signing up for thousands of pounds of work. When we found out and intervened, we got someone else to carry out an independent check who confirmed there was no risk and no work required. We have reported them to trading standards.

I just had a call to check my system. I was told that I needed a new inverter. I accept that it's getting old and it will need replacing at some point. However I was quoted over £3k. Most companies are changing less than £1k. I was told that I will have to pay vat from 1st April I can find no evidence of that. I was told that I would get 25% extra power. Most of the power is generated in the summer and most days it's generating from 8am. So I find his very difficult to believe. I accept that it will increase the power but not 25%.

From start to finish this company has gone the extra mile, communication was first class. Their appointments were on time and the advice given helped in making the correct decision in bringing our equipment up to its full potential. The workmanship was also gold standard the fitter explained everything in depth in a language we could understand. Thank you
