recently bought a kayak from Blue Wave Kayaks and I'm really impressed. The quality of the kayak is excellent, it's sturdy, comfortable, and feels very stable on the water. Delivery was quick, and the kayak arrived well packaged and exactly as described.
The customer service was also fantastic—they were friendly, helpful, and kept me updated throughout the order process. I've used the kayak several times now on lakes and rivers, and it performs brilliantly. It tracks well, is easy to paddle, and offers great value for the money.
I would definitely recommend Blue Wave Kayaks to anyone looking for a reliable, well-made kayak with excellent customer service.

It would have been five stars if you’d asked me a couple of weeks back. The Glider kayak I bought seemed great. Unfortunately, it recently developed a bulge in the floor, meaning that the internal dropstitch has failed. I contacted them to ask why this may have happened on a five year old kayak that had been well looked after. Also asked if it was safe to still use it. They asked for photos/video, I sent them. Waste of time. Neither of my questions was answered, but their reply advised to take it to a boatyard to get it fixed. Thankfully I knew this was absolute rubbish, you can’t repair failed drop stitch.
I complained as I genuinely feel that it should have lasted a lot longer than five years. This is a £700 kayak that’s been looked after and never over inflated, probably only used five or six times a year and stored in a garage. Their response was to acknowledge that the kayak is not fit for use and to offer a 10% discount on a new kayak. Sorry, but other companies offer this to new customers anyway, so not exactly tempted to buy another one from Bluewave!

The personal service was excellent. I was able to visit their warehouse to view the kayak I was thinking of buying and arrange my purchase even though they are not a shop. They also followed up with the freight company on my behalf to ensure I was not left waiting too long for my delivery.

I love my kayak, it is just as described and great quality. The customer services department is excellent, I asked for an update on my order and they replied promptly! Couldn’t ask for more!

Terrible for existing customers, We need a new bag for the kayak. It is a very large bag which no one else makes. It is listed as out of stock on the web site and has been for at least a year. They supply bags to new customers only. They have no interest in keeping existing customers. They kerp telling us to hunt for a third party bag on the internet which we have spent hours doing to no avail. We can not get the kayak to the water without a bag.

I just got my first kayak, and I'm thrilled! It's absolutely stunning, and the delivery was impressively fast and efficient.

A Kayak is large and logistics are hard, my motorised fishing kayak was very large and Bluewave managed to deliver quickly and efficiently. There was some minor snagging where a couple of bits had broken and Bluewave couldnt have been more helpful and friendly, resolving everything within 48 hours without quibble. I bought a Blue wave Cruiser Kayak 3 years ago, not used a lot due to time issues. However an easy to use craft which gives a stable and usually a fairly fast paddling experience. Mainly used on Bala Lake which often has wind issues and choppy, yesterday I took a guest and 6 year old child out, morning paddle 4/6mph wind, afternoon 14/20mph (it turns out according to Met Office) the headwind did become too much as we eventually ground to a halt. Just to say as an over 60s woman who is not all that confident on water that never for a moment did the Kayak feel unsafe considering the now confirmed wind speed, I would add that life jackets were worn by all on board and the child had the two side handles to hold onto if required between the adults . I wasn't planning on canoe/kayaking in those sort of wind speeds but more than pleased with the performance of the craft.
