I have been frequenting this website for many years, and it has taught me so much. This website holds a seemingly infinite wealth of knowledge when it comes to harm reduction and the stigma of drug use. It's a great resource for learning, laughing, and interacting safely with others who are curious about drug use. This website has undoubtedly saved countless lives and deserves all the kudos (and funding) in the world.

Love the site for decent information. Not biased by political wimsey

Bluelight.org is the world's deepest, factual, peer-supported harm reduction depository. I was a browser long before I created an account. With moderated posts dating back to the early 2000s still available, it's almost unbelievable that something like this has been alive and well for so long and it has no doubt saved and helped improve tens of thousands if not 100k site users, casual browsers, folks desperatly seeking help and folks learning something new out of curiosity that who knows how it will benefit them or someone they love later. This review is based almost exclusively about the Harm Reduction mission. The substance-specific forums for Psychonauts and Heads getting together to compile experiences and information is like a whole separate absolute golden communmity. Erowid is still there, yes, and I like Erowid and do still use it as a research tool however if you like Erowid trip reports you are going to be swimming in new reports at Bluelight.org. PyshconautWiki is another great place if you are maybe looking for more technical and or chemical info about substances HOWEVER, and this is not a knock on the Naut (but I did want to say that) sometimes there are threads on BL with more cutting-edge info, in particularin the RC realm. And if you don't know what the hell I am talking about or you do know and you think I am an idiot, Bluelight is indispensable, that is factual. Thank you BL mods, Webmasters, forum observers, and advisers. You have for so many years contributed to protecting me personally and so many others.

Blue light is a very safe space for anyone who is in active addiction, trying to get sober, and everything else in between., especially if you have mental illness. The day I joined, I was having a very severe PTSD flashback/manic episode, and when I joined the voice call, I was welcome: with open arms, by complete strangers! I couldn’t believe how how nice and helpful everyone was.they made to feel validated, gave me great advice, and support that I desperately needed in that moment. I wanted to kill myself, but these people literally saved my life. If I didn’t join that voice chat, I don’t know if I would be alive today… One of the Admins, Cdin (rest in peace…) in particular helped me through one of the most traumatic things that’s ever happened to me. If I ever have any hard reduction questions or I’m just having a bad day Because need to talk to someone, their support team is extremely caring and compassionate. They always have good advice and answer my questions, I can tell that they actually care which is very nice since a lot of these servers are toxic. Blue light is the only server I ever would recommend someone to join. I know that they’ll be protected there. Anytime there’s an issue, it’s addressed swiftly - never have to worry about being harassed or be subjected to hate speech, etc. Anyone who breaks the rules is immediately banned. That’s why I feel so safe there and that’s why I think it’s one of the best harm reduction resources on Discord.

Brilliant information. Obviously the occasional ignorant post from new members who don't understand the purpose of the forum, but the regular members handle that with cool heads.

Very helpful people who actually care about addicts. When I am using there's a mountain of information on how to do it safely.
When I tried to get clean I had a community of kind non judgemental people helping me.
They made me feel less alone and were very supportive no matter if you're using or getting clean. It's real people with real life experiences and it has helped me for years.

I joined Bluelight in 2006 at 17 years of age and I had never even tried a drug. I was interested in trying MDMA (as an ecstasy tablet) and began my learning there in which I learned a heap of information before trying it. 18 years later, Bluelight has been such a big part of my life. I honestly don't know where I would have ended up without it.

One of the best online communities out there by far. Always a blast, always lots of fun, and always extremely educational and helping. Plus, you never know who you’re talking to on Bluelight. From Elon Musk to Joe Rogan to Brittney Spears, everyone is on Bluelight. It’s truly THE PLACE to hang out on the innernets.

Bluelight is a great community.

I've been a member since 2003, and it remains consistent as an invaluable resource. The harm reduction principles are at the core of its values, yet there are other subforums that are worthwhile.

I've been active in quite a few harm reduction-focused discord servers, but I've never seen anything quite like Bluelight's Discord server. It genuinely feels like the mission of harm reduction is clear, staff cares about inclusivity and fostering an accepting environment, and the knowledge among users is unmatched. I know I can go there anytime with a question and get a lot of great information on how to do things safely and still have fun while doing it pretty quickly. Their support system is also amazing: if I'm having a hard time with something, I can go there and feel completely heard. I have seriously never seen another server that's as wonderful as this one.

Simply: a lifesaving resource. The peer support is superb and the Discord is always active with over 7000 members worldwide. I'm unsure how you could receive so much harm reduction in one place until I found Bluelight. Truly a special corner of the internet where the "outcasts" can truly shine and be themselves.

Bluelight is an incredible community that has helped me feel safe and made me feel like I truly belong.

Highly recommend Bluelight to any novice psychonaut, and individuals seeking any information on detailed information on substances.

Very wholesome community of people looking out for each other, volunteer peer support with people who put a lot of unpaid work in to make the place welcoming to all sorts.
