Come here with my son to try and relax and be with nature I needed nothing more than this place it has helped me to breathe and relax the sauna as well as the wild swim are the perfect combination what a wonderful experience

A wonderful experience enjoyed by a small group of us, in a hidden little gem of a place in the countryside. Jo clearly explained everything, a perfect experience.

Perfect combination to have in Cheltenham lido, we had a swim and then used the saunas and plunge, all really clean and easily accessible, loved it!

Our first time using the sauna just happened to be the start of the really hot week. We had a lovely time and the facilities were great. They had to top up the ice baths at one point so gave us some extra time which was very nice. I would agree with the comment about getting there a bit early to use the toilets. There’s also no clock in the area so you might not know when your session is up, though there are timers in the saunas themselves.

Overpriced for what it is, just sauna and cold plunge, with no one greeting us.

It was a wonderful experience, and I really enjoyed using it at the Cheltenham Lido. Two things: the shower did not work at first, but that was soon fixed. The only other thing I wish there had been a toilet nearer. I would advise anyone using the facility to arrive a little early. I arrived early but had not used the toilet before. I had to walk to the toilet on the other side of the swimming pool, wasting a bit of my hour.

Beautifully warm
and somehow you are compelled to plunge in the ice bath too and then back to warm up again and on repeat.
The twinkling lights and lovely astro underfoot all contributed to the ambience

I have come to the Nordic experiences 3 times over the past two winter months and each time has been really fun and sociable, leaving us all refreshed in such a good mood. The saunas have picture windows overlooking the pool and the dipping baths are icy but manageable. Overall a good sense of camaraderie - Would highly recommend.

My wife and I went to the Black Box sauna at Cheltenham lido in mid-January 26.
The booking process was very clear, the organisation on the day was first class, and the sauna facilities were excellent.
I'd recommend the Black Box experience to anyone who's keen on cold water swimming and saunas.

Myself and a friend loved our experience. It was a very chilly sunny day. We started with a pool dip (temp. 1.6 c) with lifeguards present, then after warming-up a little entered the sauna, which was heaven. Following that we braved the ice baths for the complete experience! The facilities were clean and well maintained, and we appreciated the fake grass to warm our feet and plenty of hooks in the changing area to hang our towels etc. It felt like a real treat after the madness of Christmas.

We treated ourselves to this at the Lido and oh my word it was worth it. We absolutely loved it. So beautifully hot and then you felt compelled to try the ice bath too. A great idea. Will definitely go again.

Fabulous experience was lovely to have sauna then ice bath with the added bonus of a dip in 4 degrees Cheltenham lido swimming pool. Party of 4 all loved it would definitely recommend and would do again!
