Sometimes things just aren't meant to be I guess
The shipping cost was outrageous for how long it took to arrive. Also, my product was damaged to the point I couldn't use it. If anyone had taken even half a second to look at it they would have seen an obvious manufacturing defect and not sent the binder out. That being said, the customer service guy I spoke with was extremely polite and helped me resolve the issue quickly. I supppse a second chance is due.

A great experience from customer service to product quality!
I've ordered from Bindertek a few times now and am always impressed with their personal touch. An item in one of my orders was not in stock and I didn't notice. Nick, the Bindertek customer service agent who confirmed my order (yes, a person confirming your order!) brought this to my attention and asked if the delay in fulfillment was all right. I had a good experience when dealing with Binderteck!
I was having a hard time locating a binder for legal-sized papers. I was so happy to see that Bindertek carries just what I was looking for! The binders came quickly and without any troubles! I would recommend anyone who is looking, to order office supplies from Bindertek!

Bindertek is great ...
This is a nicely constructed stool and would work well in some environments. Unfortunately, for my office it does not work in the way I had envisioned it.
I must say that the customer service at Bindertek was exemplary in helping me sort this out. Because of that I would give the company 5 stars ... for the product itself, I am only giving it 4 because I was unable to use it in my office. This is a great company and I will continue to buy their high quality products in the future.

I am curious if you may not have pulled the tab to adjust the height. The height adjustment ranges from 17.7” to 24.8”. We have a pretty height diverse crowd here and everyone can use the UP Stool we have with proper adjustment.

Good construction, but poor mechanism.
EDIT: After I posted this review, a representative from Bindetek contacted me and helped me replace all of the defective binder rings at no cost to me. The new ones they sent me are the same style but have a much tighter grip and won't bend, break, or misalign. I'm upping the review from 3 to 5 star because of the quality product that was provided (second mechanism is much better than the first) and the customer service is top notch - going above and beyond any I have ever seen in my 30 years of being a consumer.
I ordered 5 one-touch barrister binders and some protective shells for a trading card collection. The exterior of the binders are fantastic. Never seen a more durable and sleek looking binder anywhere else. I especially like the spine labels - perfect for stickers to separate sets.
The rings were a bit disappointing. I never once opened them by pulling them apart with my fingers and I always used the lever/paddle, but after only a few open/close actions, two of the first five binders I bought have an issue where the topmost ring is bent slightly out of alignment and has to be pushed back into it's channel manually. Plus, vinyl and polypropylene pages tend to snag on the gap and knock them out of alignment anyway when trying to turn the pages. I was hoping for a better build quality for the price I paid - plus the name is bindertek so I expected there to be more to the rings than a cheap opening mechanism.
Still, they look quite nice, great on a shelf or a bookcase. I would not recommend them to anyone who plans to use them heavily, but for people who need to use them for archival purposes and rarely need to reference the contents, they are much better looking and more solid than anything you can buy in a cheap office supply or big box store. Average overall rating.

We believe it is a better value to offer a great quality long lasting product rather than the cheapest. We also agree that our Binders should be better than cheap run of the mill Binders. If ever your Binder rings become misaligned or even if you break them yourself - we will replace them for free - Forever!
