Yes they are competitive on some lines, and yes the delivery was quick. BUT......
Any company can slap a label on a big box and post it.
I had a problem with my £900 Milwaukee tool out of the box. I was offered for it to sent back to Milawaukee for repair, but I insisted that as it was brand new it should be replaced or refunded. Then then argued that I could only be refunded once Milwaukee had agreed to it. That's against selling regulations as my contract is with the seller not the manufacture.
Item was returned and I then had to chase the refund, which they said had been done, but nothing in writing and certainly nothing in my bank account.
4 times chasing and on 5th Jan I eventually get an email saying a refund will be in 5-10 days. The accounts department have never answered their phone once, and have never returned a call.
How short sighted of you, a bad experience, and a good remainder never to use you again. One of your competitors will now get all my business,

Would not recommend this company AT ALL
I’m really unhappy with my experience. I paid £8.99 for next-day delivery, yet my parcel didn’t arrive until two days late. Mistakes happen, but what’s even worse is the complete lack of customer service. I’ve emailed the company multiple times asking for a refund for the failed delivery service, they responded with the fact I’m not entitled to a refund as there was an attempted delivery made by DPD (which is not true as DPD did not attempt to deliver my parcel, they just said that) and I haven’t received a single reply since.
It’s incredibly frustrating to be ignored, especially when the issue is so straightforward. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend this company at all. If they can’t deliver what customers pay for… or even respond to emails then it’s not a service worth trusting.

Iv had a terrible experience with big red tool I was sold a faulty tool had to return it and was told I would be given a replacement or a refund all I had to do is send the tool back ....... for months after I had sent the tool back I chased them for my replacement or refund only to have my emails not replied to also me being bogged off everything I rang being put on hold an never getting back to me I'm just really upset with the way I was treated luckily i always pay with PayPal and asked them to step in an handle the situation otherwise i doubt anything would of ever got resolved i wouldn't recommend dealing with them

Argumentative, lack of proactive communication, told me one thing on the phone and went against that on an email. Avoid this company. Shut them down. Still awaiting a refund and they're trying to avoid giving me half of it.

So he took it upon himself to send it back to big red for some strange reason. Not half as strange as to why big red refunded me the cost of the item, but not delivery. Having bought a few bits online before I Took a trip down on 28th December to see what the shop was like , for a few bits and pieces , had a crack with Gary regarding a punch that wasn’t on display and he went out of his way to locate one there and then , shop was busy , helpful staff , prices were decent enough as well, will definitely come down again cheers 👍

I've been to their site once in Preston, Lancashire. It was extremely overpriced and the people who worked there did not really bother themselves to talk with the customers.
Overpriced tools, with untrained staff who can not talk and can not sell the tools with a smile. It looked like they did not want to be there.

Really good price. Item was dispatched with tracking information 20 minutes after order and arrived next day.
Customer service waste of time
Bought some bandsaw blades online my mistake didn’t notice the delivery said collection , no problem just emailed them to say what’s the best way forward? Cancel the order or can they add the postage ? 3 days later no reply so ended up spending an hour driving there and back , when I arrived ask the customer representative why I had no reply he said he hadn’t had email , no apology no explanation, shame on you very poor customer service wouldn’t recommend

Avoid! Placed an order online, was advised 3 days later that the order had been cancelled and would be refunded. Refund was processed 6 days after initial order and would take a further 5-10 business days to recieve the refund.
Customer service advisor was unhelpful unprofessional at best.
First and last time we will be using this company, will stick to Powertoolmate in futute.
Poor customer Service with Returns
Purchased a Milwaukee tool, went faulty within a few days, had to post it to them at my expense. They Don't call you back when they say they will. They registered a Milwaukee account with a works email for me to action the return without my permission, I already have a Milwaukee account. very sneaky. Eventually said they would ship me a replacement a week later it was still not with me. I asked for an update, Josh said he would ring me back, with a tracking number. No phone call. I asked to speak with the over (Gary) tried 3 times for a call back from the over, not had a call. Clearly they don't care how they treat customers as long as they don't get stuck with a pre owned tool they are not bothered how they deal with you. Really shocking and disappointing considering they have a great selection of tools, I drove an hour to use their store thinking worth the drive to shop as local as possible. Will not be going back or shopping with them as there customer services is the worst I have experienced with any tool retailer. If they communicated with you, called you back and were not sneaky seeing up email accounts in my name they I wouldn't have been that bothered but they really do deserve the bad review on this one. They don't even deserve the one star!

Wrong postcode BIG RED AND DPD laugh it off no tools for me
I placed 2 orders my company address was correct but not the postcode, so DPD dumped off the parcels somewhere else
I called Big Red, and they said not our problem, you had the wrong postcode, so it's your problem, not ours, I asked what about my deliveries they said they lost, that's your problem, even though the address was correct, who does DPD employ speedy Gonzales's, Big red staff need a lesson in customer service, disappointing.

I have ordered several items from this company. Always competitive on price and always a fantastic service with fast despatch/delivery.
Company ignored a request for invoice twice!
Requested a VAT invoice for my first order and the company never provided one. Called them on the phone, requested again and I was advised to re-send an e-mail with my business details but got no response at all. Decided to give them another chance ordering again only to have the very same experience. Same story on the phone, followed by emails only to be completely ignored.
I'm escalating this case to Financial Ombudsman and the HMRC.
