Big Bus Tours Paris Omdömen 4 130

Yesterday my day trip to Paris was ruined thanks to lack of proper communication by Big Bus tours. I had booked a day ticket plus a boat tour for 5 persons - at a cost of over 250 euros and upon arriving in Paris we headed directly towards the pontoon from where the boat leaves. I had the qr code for all the family. After finding our way from gare du Nord to the place where the boats are berted. I show my qr code to the ticket controller and he asked me to go and get a printed out ticket from a big bus kiosk. We follow the instructions and queue at a big bus kiosk close by. When we got to the guichet the lady told us that we had to get our bus tickets printed first before we could use the boat and we could do this by going to the office at the foot of the Eiffel tower in champ de mars. Bear in mind that i was walking with two 80 year old parents and two young children - this is why i had planned the whole day trip based on using on big bus and their boat services. We walk around and try to check on Internet for a precise address. No clear information. Finally at the other end of champ de mars we see a bus of big bus tours and we walk towards it. We arrive there exhausted and the driver tells me that he could not read well the qr code and could only see the tickets of the boat. He said we needed to go to the main office to sort it - which was close by. Finally he agreed to give us a lift till there - it was close to opera garnier - not at all so close by. The whole morning was gone. We get our printed out tickets finally in the early afternoon but soon we have to take our return train back. I explained this at the main office and the man serving us didn't seem to care. What a shame!

Of course BugBus have responded to my review here with a hollow apology and excuses but the lack of an offer of a partial/full refund shows how they truly feel about their customers. I’d give zero stars if I could.

We paid approximately €80 on 24 November for the BigBus service and it was appalling.

1. BigBus say you’ll never be waiting more than about 10-15 minutes. We waited about 40 minutes, boarding at the Arc de Triomphe with about 20 other cold and wet people.

2. The headphones didn’t work and I had to move seats 3 times because the headphone outlets I tired on the bus didn’t work.

3. The “audio guide” is music by Adele and suchlike played on repeat. When you approach a monument, the music fades and a minute or two of information is played. Then back to the awful music.

4. As I said, we began our “tour” at the Arc de Triomphe and stayed on the bus until it stopped at the BigBus headquarters after Palais Garnier. Then it terminated for good. It was approximately 6:30pm.

5. After we were sat on the bus for approximately 15 minutes, the driver came to the top (where all the passengers were still sitting) to tell us all that it had terminated and that the bus wouldn’t be continuing for the day - they obviously have more than one bus but we were told that the next bus would be the final one and the queue meant that we and the other passengers on this bus couldn’t get on the next one.

6. A number of disgruntled customers went into the BigBus office to complain about the service (I paid €80 for a service that took in less than half the sites). The staff member genuinely didn’t care at all, offered no apology, no explanation and told everyone to email BigBus if we weren’t happy.

7. Give Tootbus Paris a try.

wir waren am 6.10. in Paris, haben vor Ort via App gebucht direkt am Louvre. alles lief problemlos. Der Bus war gut gefüllt, man bekam aber trotz bestem Wetter immer einen Platz oben, die Fahrt lief ca 2,5 Stunden einmal durch Paris mit verschiedenen Haltestellen. Die Leistung des Fahrers im dichten Pariser Verkehr war super, würden es jederzeit wieder machen!

No recomendable, muy caro para el servicio que ofrece.
Encima los conductores son muy desagradables en general, y en nuestro caso, el que acababa la ruta nos llevó a toda velocidad cambiando la ruta para llegar antes al destino, presionando a otros coches, pegaba con las ramas de los árboles y pasamos miedo, un viaje horrible.
Coincidió con el cambio de hora pero la compañía no lo cambió y no avisó ni actualizó las horas, por lo que comenzó una hora antes y acabó una hora antes claro...perdimos dos horas y no nos llevaron al último destino por este motivo.
Los llenan tanto que muchas veces tienes que ir de pie, con el riesgo que supone y sin escuchar nada...explicaciones vagas y escasas

The website does not provide enough instructions on their other tours other than their classic day tours. They mislead you and does not give you your money back when they fail to provide a service.

Never using them again.

Disappointing. 24 hour ticket?? We thought it would be a great way to tour Paris and hop on and off. They don’t tell you the last bus is 6pm! So we only did half the route, looked around Notra Dame and couldn’t get back. Had to pay for a taxi back to the Eiffel Tour. Family of 4 cost €128!! A lot of money for an hour on a bus. Shame. The commentary was ok and we enjoyed that first hour. Why would it finish so early in August with all these tourists wanting to stay out??

The trip was overpriced. €42 p/p for supposedly 24 hour travel. They forget to tell you that the buses only start driving at 10am and by 17:20 (in the middle of summer!) the staff is informing everyone that theirs is the last bus of the day and it will only be doing one last stop. Encouraging the passengers not to get on actually. The buses are in bad state too. Don't be fooled by their advertisements. Try the Toot bus instead.

Ostern in Paris, alles sehr voll, auch BigBus. Störend: Der Brand der Notre-Dame wird auch drei Jahre nach dieser Katastrophe noch nicht erwähnt im Audio - sehr schade.

Waste of a lot of money!
We booked 4x2-day tickets with a river cruise. The bus was so over-crowded which is quite alarming post-covid. There was absolutely no chance of getting a seat upstairs, so we had to try to view the sites through filthy windows.
The commentary was very basic & gave very little background history of the buildings we were looking at. We gave up trying to listen in the end as the music was so annoying. I can never hear again La Bohème by Charles Aznavour without shuddering. The route is also very short.
The whole experience was a trial & we certainly didn’t wish to repeat it on day 2, so we did not use that part of the ticket.
The river cruise was enjoyable though, but I wish we had just taken a Bato-bus.
We have done the bright red City Sightseeing bus tours in many European cities and loved them. But this company is not operating currently in Paris (probably covid). The Big Bus company is a very poor substitute & we would not recommend.

Gita tra amici programmata per venerdì 3 giugno, assolutamente sconsigliato per gruppi numerosi. Abbiamo aspettato dalle 10:45 alle 12.15 circa, in Piazza dei Cinquecento, sotto il sole di giugno che arrivasse un pullman con posti sufficienti ad accoglierci tutti. Lungo il percorso tempi di attesa molto lunghi ad ogni fermata. Lungo il percorso facevano salire anche se non c'erano posti a sedere.

Immer überfüllt. Rausgeschmissenes Erlebnis. Viel zu wenig Busse im Einsatz.
Nie wieder.

I would NEVER purchase a ticket from this company! The bus had NO air-conditioning, there is NO address to find the stops and you wander around for hours trying to find one, there is NO phone number to call them for assistance, AND they don't give any directions in advance telling you that you have to get your bateau ticket from someone--never could find out who or where--BEFORE you can get on the boat.
Spent almost $300 for 3 tickets and couldn't find where to get on for the Paris night tour and find a contact to get our boat pass. TOTAL RIP-OFF!!!

Service décevant, 42€ pour une demie journée, 1 seule route, le chauffeur n a pas marqué les arrêts, et lorsque je suis allée le voir il conduisait en regardant son mobile. Quand je lui ai demandé pourquoi il ne s était pas arrêté sa réponse: "il faut me le dire que vous voulez vous arrêter!!" Comment aurais fait?? il n y a pas de bouton pour marquer l arrêt j en déduit que le chauffeur doit s arrêter non?
A la deuxième tentative il m a laissé au feu rouge, nous avons dû marcher sous la pluie 31 min, parceque le chauffeur n a juste pas marqué les arrêts ... en descendant évidement, beaucoup de gens ont suivi car comme moi ils attendaient pour descendre.
Le chauffeur m a menacé de ne pas me laisser monter si il me croisait. Donc je paye 42€ pour une demie journée, 1 seule route, sans arrêt, et je me fais menacer. Ma recommandation : Evitez de prendre le Big Bus!

the route is too short. You can make the same route with a daily public transport ticket for less than half the price. The buses were so old and not comfortable. If it rains you can find a seat inside.

We came from Disney land with the car, there is a parking just infront of the Notredame. And once you come out of the parking you will find a souvenir shop and infront the stop called Notredame.

Once the bus arrives you can buy the tickets from the bus driver. Very easy.

We went in march Too cold for the open top.

Audio needs some loving tender care. Cause sometimes the headphones don't work.

But all in all it was worth it. It will get you to the best locations in Paris

Ps: Every first sunday of the month all museums are free in Paris

Including going up Arc De Triomphe alot if stairs but worth the view

Fatal, nos han timado. Me vendieron el ticket de bus de 2 días con bus nocturno y entrada a barco. Cuando llego a coger el primer bus me dice que hoy y mañana estaba cerrado el barco y que mandara un mail a la empresa. Así lo hago. La respuesta es que yo he disfrutado de todos los tickets cuando ni siquiera fuimos al bus nocturno ya que hacía tanto frío en el bus por el día que decidimos no ir por la noche. Más de 100€ tirados a la basura para dar una vuelta solamente una vez en un bus VIEJO donde apenas te cuentan nada. Se repiten 4 canciones sin parar y hablan súper poco. Te cuentan 2 cosas si llega de cada sitio. He subido a buses donde no paran de contarte cosas durante todo el trayecto. Me han estafado totalmente en esta compañía ojalá me leáis y no los contratéis.

Catastrophique ! Le tour de nuit est totalement inintéressant vous vous gelez dans le bus même à l'intérieur avec pour seul commentaire la même chanson de Charles Aznavour qui passe en boucle. Le chauffeur s'arrête pour fumer sans prévenir ni préciser quand il repartira... Nous avons quitté ce bus comme beaucoup de passagers avant la fin du circuit car nous n'en pouvions plus. A déconseiller. Mérite un large détour 🤢🤢

Tour très bien, bonne vue depuis l'étage supérieur où l'on est même (relativement) protégé du vent. Commentaires amusants, et principe hop on-hop off bien pratique. En période post-covid, les circuits ont été réduits à une seule route (la rouge), dommage!
Par contre, le système de billet est vraiment tordu et mal fait: l'achat en ligne ne donne pas de ticket (pas possible de scanner le QR sur mobile) mais il faut demander au préposé de vous imprimer un ticket papier avant de monter pour la première fois dans le bus.
Et si vous optez pour l'offre combinée avec les Bateaux Parisiens, alors là c'est carrément infernal. A partir du 1er ticket papier il faut faire la queue à la caisse des bateaux pour obtenir un 2nd ticket papier pour ensuite refaire une 3e fois la queue pour monter dans le bateau. En 2020, pourquoi ne peut-il pas y avoir un QR sur le mobile que l'on scanne directement ? :-o
