Bicyclenation Omdömen 

I've always used Bicyclenation and in fact that's where I bought my bicycle. Throughout the years they have offered outstanding maintenance service and given me great advice on how to maintain my bike. My favourite mechanics are Emilien, Leo and Nicholas. They are always approachable and friendly and are always willing to explain to you in lay man's term on what is the issue with your bike. Today Leo & Nicholas were expectionally helpful in checking my chain. If you are a cyclist living in the local or surrounding area of Herne Hill/Tulse Hill/Brixton or Dulwich, I highly recommend you go to Bicyclenation for all your bike repairs and maintenance.

I took my bike in for service and ended up with them breaking the Bosch control unit holder, which is integral to the bike’s electric-assist system. Unfortunately, they did not check to see if my original controller worked with the new unit. When I went in to explain the problem, the manager tried to assure me that the item he broke was replaced with a new product, and that I should trust that this holder is perfect; instead, any issue I was having came from the original controller, which is now the problem, as it's "worn". There was no getting through to him, so I asked to talk to someone else. The guy who apparently owns the company basically agreed with his manager. and insinuated that I was being argumentative when actually I just wanted to have them decide if they were going to right a wrong. The key issue was that the manager said he quality-checked the bike after installing the new control holder, but that was actually a lie. I had taken the controller with me when I booked the bike in for a service because I was not expecting the shop to break anything on my bike, so they didn't need it. They were bullies and said whatever was necessary to avoid fixing the problem. Buyer Beware! I contacted Bosch through the team at a better Bike maintenance Company, and was told that the entire system needed to be replaced, since older units aren't guaranteed to work perfectly with newer parts even if the part codes match. I found both the manager and the other guy argumentative, super defensive, and lacking in customer relationship skills. Breaking things and then spinning yarns is not cool. I will get my bike fixed by people who know what they are doing going forward.
