Similar to previous reviewer: bill received for a charge I did not make at a charge point I have never visited, miles away from my address at a time I was on duty. Explained at time and no reply. TWO years later, debt recovery service email
for same bill. BE.EV asking me to contact CRS, CRS asking me to contact BE.EV - both offering stock replies to my question, asking for evidence that I was at the charging point in question. 8 emails, 3 phone calls and I am no further on. Ludicrous!!
Why we can’t charge for our time in these situations baffles me.
Dodgy and incompetent
Charged me £99, got a "something went wrong" message and prompted to restart. Did so and got charged £99 again. Customer service no help whatsoever. Avoid like the plague.
Update 17.03, still not got the money back. Couldn't recommend avoiding this company enough.
Charged for FREE CHARGING – Be.EV's Shocking Customer Service!
I had an absolutely horrendous experience with Be.EV, and I feel compelled to warn others. I used their charging service 2 YEARS AGO, which was clearly marked as FREE in their app and invoice. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I received a debt collection email from CRS demanding payment for this so-called "overdue" charge.
Naturally, I contacted Be.EV directly to understand why I was being charged for something that was listed as free. Instead of providing any clear explanation, they completely dodged my questions and kept telling me to contact CRS. How does that make any sense? They are the service provider, yet they refuse to explain their own charges!
Even now, the charging history in their own app still says Free Charging, Free Connection Fee, and Free Parking — yet they claim I owe money. The invoice for this charge also clearly shows £0.00, so how did they suddenly decide I owe them anything?
Not only did they fail to notify me of any outstanding balance for 2 WHOLE YEARS, but now they are letting a third-party debt collection agency chase me without even justifying why I owe anything! This is beyond unprofessional—this is shady and unacceptable business practice.
Be.EV has shown a complete lack of accountability, refused to take responsibility, and is making customers chase a debt collector instead of answering basic questions.

Truly bad technology
This seems to be a common issue but after trying several cards their charge point accepted a valid card, charged my car, but didn't take payment. No contact from them until a year later I get a message from a debt company chasing payment. Companies like this are the reason some people are sceptical about moving to EVs
Incompetent
18 months after using them I received an email from a debt chasing agency - no communication in the intervening 18 months that their app had failed to take payment - do not use - incompetent
Very well positioned charging station…
Very well positioned charging station with 16 all fast chargers a few miles from to the airport and just off the motorway so very convenient for us on our way back to Yorkshire from our holidays abroad.
Finally a Ev charging point that delivers.
Wish there were more of the same.
Bring more of these in Yorkshire.
Trafford center charging
Trafford center charging. Separate review for them. Be.EV tried to charge at the no better than home chargers (3 or7 Kwh) for 55p per kwh (extortion) tried 3 cards not one would go through for payment (not an issue my end)
Just as well I did not need a charge. Shameful cost and service.

Hi I am a disabled person who struggles with physical mobility and mental health.
I Arrived at a charging station on commercial road at 10:30am I paid £25 for a charge after struggling to get back in my vehicle I noticed that my car wasn’t charging..
so I called the help line and asked them to initialise a charge from
Their end.. which they have done for me before. I got told that they cannot initialise a charge from their end and I will have to wait 7 to 10 days for my money to be returned to my account. I explained that I only have £25 in my account and I don’t have any more money. So they said to me, I will put you on a brief hold. Can you bear with me? I happily agreed 15 minutes later they come back to me and said I’m sorry. I’m still speaking to the manager. Can you continue to hold for me briefly again? I agreed.
35 minutes later he comes back and he says to me my manager is going to authorised a £5 free charge for you to get home. I explained I need the £25 charge that I have paid for so I can get about and do what I need to do on a day-to-day basis. I all so explained that my next pay date was the 6th of March. Then the agent said I completely understand what you would you like me to transfer you to a manager I said yes please.
I got through to a manager called Michael who was not helpful in any way shape or form. I explained to him that I’ve been sat in my car now for 45 minutes struggling with my mental health and that I was very stressed out. He then asked me to get out of the car and plug the other charger in because my charger isn’t working.. I explained to Michael that this was going to be a struggle for me and I was not happy about it. After a painful struggle I managed to swap the chargers and get back into the car.. He then said to me that charger isnt working either.. You will have to move to another one by this time I had been on the phone for over and hour and I’m still no closer to getting anything resolved.. I all so explained to Michael that I had wet myself at this point due to being incompetent.
He then says well can you move over to the other charger for me.. so I explained it’s going to be another struggle for me. So again after a struggle i managed to plug the other charger in only to realise it’s a slow charger.. Michael was happy to Leave me on a slow charger sat in my own piss… he gave me a £10 free charge, after five minutes another vehicle pulled up at the charging station where I was plug in originally and the car was charging no problem at all with the charging station. Michael the manager explained to me that station was out of order and it clearly wasn’t..
(absolutely disgusting company and they should be ashamed of themselves)
Rubbish communication..

Emailed BE-EV & received quick response from ‘Tracy’ saying they would investigate & get back to me. Have now chase three times & no response so have basically cut the RFID up. Absolutely useless company..
