It was all good but no windows to open

In 2021 I had sleeve gastrectomy surgery, everything went perfectly. Three weeks ago I had an arm lift and mommy makeover. I spent 9 days between the hospital and the hotel. I am very happy and grateful for having chosen Bariatric Istanbul. No one spoke Portuguese at the hospital, but the nurses used the translator on the phone. Everyone was very professional and caring. My surgeon, Dr. Elif Eren Aydin, has magic hands.
Still undergoing maintenance, but the results are already visible. The scars are beautiful, straight and perfect. No pain so far, just the normal discomfort that is part of the process. There is nothing I would want any other way. Agradeço de coração! A minha experiência foi maravilhosa.

Upon arrival to Emsey Hospital we were greeted everything felt rushed, our flight arrived late into Istanbul (23/06/25) the paperwork was put in front of us with no explanation and we were just told to sign it with no translation. Then after bloods and ECG was done I was given 2 tablets and an injection and wasn’t told what they were as no one spoke English.
The next day translator arrived she was with me for the ultrasound scan, chest X-ray and height and weight checks. An hour later I had to have an endoscopy with no translator which resulted in the nurse shoving a round thing in my mouth forcefully, there was no attempt at communication of what to do she just forced my mouth open.
On arrival to the operation I was set up for the operation the surgeon walked in and said results were all good then he looked at my folder and was told they couldn’t operate after all due to complications then everything was removed off me, as they started to escort me to the way out they abruptly stopped and the nurse threw the patient folder over the top of my bed which resulted in hitting me on the head and shoulder, the anaesthetised helped me and removed it. I was then wheeled into a room and left for 20-30 minutes with no explanation as to what was going on, after this I was taken back to my room my assigned person called the doctor who then explained what was happening, the surgeon then spoke to me himself to say they had found a mass on my liver and large intestines so they couldn’t operate.
We left later that day for the hotel and I was told I would have a refund after calculations were done to figure out how much balance was left to owe to me. I was told I’d have a full refund before I left turkey on Friday 27th June and now I have no communication and I am being ignored fully. Even through trust pilot reviews were good for bariatric Istanbul I did not have that experience and would urge people to avoid at all costs.
Update received half of my money back after a week of chasing them
After tests such as ct nothing on my liver or large intestines were found the results from turkey have caused me and my family endless worry and unpaid days off work for no reason whatsoever my experience has been very poor and would still advise to stay clear

They provide exceptional customer service before the procedure, during and after. You will be amazed how clean everything is. The room/ private toilet are cleaned at least once a day. You truly feel like a VIP in a 5* hotel.

The nurses/ doctors/ translators are amazing and make you feel like home the moment you get there. They are very patient, caring, answer all your questions and listen to any worries you have.

The procedure is very straight forward and I didn’t experience any complications. I was comfortable and always had a nurse to help me if needed.

Overall, I would highly recommend BARIATRIC ISTANBUL and I can’t fault them on anything. I truly had the best experience.
