It all began in a high school engineering classroom. Avery Shannon was 18 at the time (now 23), when he set out on the journey to craft a lip balm that was unlike the rest. He was inspired to create his own lip balm after taking a harsh acne medication, which completely dried out his skin. Shannon wanted to avoid the chemical induced lip balm market, thus creating an organic lip balm that was one of a kind. During the course of his last year in high school, Shannon spent over 12 months trying to formulate the ideal balm. The smooth, long lasting, and creamy texture of his lip balm puts every hand poured tube above the rest. Through continuous trial and error he truly believes that his formula is one of a kind. During his formulation process, he had to scrap over 3,000 lip balm tubes to achieve the formula he has today. His commitment and love for organic skincare radiates through each individual tube of lip balm. Making the perfect lip balm for Shannon isn't simply a business... It's a passion and a lifestyle he will cherish forever.

I have very sensitive lips. Most lip products actually dry them out--even ones with all natural ingredients. Something about the combo of ingredients (or maybe the quality?) in this balm makes it by far the best product I've ever used. I'm hooked for life.

Much better than Burt’s Bees!
The website is very easy to navigate. The shipment is very quick. But best of all, I love the way this lip balm moisturizes my lips, but does not feel greasy. And the light fragrances to choose from our wonderful!

The best
I have been using this product for years. I love to purchase this on Black Friday and share one with the people I love. The rose scent is my fave! I've had chapped lips for years and this is the only product that has helped my lips! I have one in each purse I wear along with my favorite jackets. Thank you for making a clean product that actually works!

Great service and product!
Ordering from their online store was simple and easy. I got my product within two days after placing my order, though it must be noted I live in the same state as the items are made and shipped in. I got my Pure & Unscented lip balm today and am very happy with it. It coats my lips well without being heavy or greasy like other large mainstream brands are. And true to its name, the balm has no weird scent or taste. I would highly recommend Balm Standard to anyone.

Good afternoon I usually don’t write reviews, but I just wanted to say a shout out to your product. I am in heaven over your lip balm!!!! I have one at home my purse my office literally everywhere I go and this is absolutely the best lip balm I have ever used and I will continue using your product. I have tried sooooooo many different lip balm's but seriously nothing compares to yours!! Other lip balms, are waxy and feel heavy. Your lip balm is smooth, silky and feels great. Thank you for creating such a great product!!!!!! My son even sold your product in his store before he closed it.

I am a lifer
I am a lifer! Growing up in the High Desert areas of CO and living on a farm we have very little humidity and unforgiving conditions. High heat, cold winters, and our share of wind. Staying moisturized is a fulltime job. This stuff is so good and is absolutely up to the challenge! The pumpkin spice is a must have for me and my crew. It is perfect year-round!

Amazing products and service
Postage was super fast with standard delivery and I am based in the United Kingdom. Ordered on a Tuesday, and it came through on Friday in the same week! Very impressed as I wasn't expecting to receive so quickly.
Products were so lovely (the best smelling and feeling) and in immaculate condition considering the summer heat would pose a risk for items to suffer during transit.
I bought all 12 scents - they are appealing and well thought, there's not one which I would deter from. For me, this brand was discovered at a local organic deli health food cafe. Neal's Yard Remedies UK lip balms and Heavenly Organics Skin Care UK lip balms were my all time favourites, but now it's Balm Standard. Won't get any better than these.
