The rubber hinges have failed and separated. Bakflip support says that the hinges are not sold separately and a new cover is the only solution. considering the expense of a new cover this is unreasonable.
Bad quality; one of the rails was not straight (damaged and bent like a dog leg at the factory as the packaging was sufficient), screws were inserted crooked, and the clamping system is mickey mouse.
Bought my cover in 2019, now a little over 4 1/2 years later, I am having to make repairs. Great cover when I got it, still like the concept. The supports to hold the cover up against the cab have never really held well no matter how tight the thumb screws are. I avoid this configuration and use webbing closed in door if absolutely needed. Now it leaks and the rivets holding the lock bars are pulling out from the under side of the panels. Can make the repairs, but not sure how long before a new cover will be needed. Would have expected it to last longer than it has for the price. Only had one time to call CS before short warranty ran out, and got replacement straps that were too short to begin with. They were sent quickly. Will debate replacement with another or look for another brand when repairs can't easily be made.
I have a BakFlip F1 with a broken rubber seal between panels. BakFlip does not supply the replacement part. My cover is not working and I will buy another brand. My BakFlip is 4 years old.
I have never experienced the displeasure of working with the worst company in my entire life. I bought a roll up top for the back of my pickup truck and it came without any installation hardware. so of course I sent in a notification. they said they would resolve it and I received parts I didn't even need. again complained they didn't send me anything. I again complained I got nothing. I had to go out and buy the installation clamps and then said them a copy of the receipt and they had the nerve to tell me that these clamps are different than the ones on my truck when if you look at the video showing their installation through the exact same clamps. they work perfectly and they had the nerve to refuse crediting me the 26th effing dollars I spent on these clamps. I'm still waiting for the tie backs to be sent from them do not ever ever buy from this company in your lifetime they are the worst company that ever existed I would give negative Stars if I were able to do that
I have purchased roughly 10 of these truck bedcovers over the years and fortunately I've never needed customer service. That speaks to the product because as a rule in my experience it is been ROCK SOLID. HOWEVER now I need customer service on an item that was shipped and nearly destroyed in shipping. I called and they promised two to four hours for resolution and now it's been four days and I've spent hours on hold for nothing, sent for email updates and I'm getting absolutely nothing. So now I have a partially functioning product I paid for and there is no customer service. The solution is simple, replace the mess that I showed them THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHS. But they can't seem to even answer the phone.
