I have purchased six watches from Avi-8 and have never had an issue at any time. Excellent service and constant updates and tracking each time. Beautiful watches with no issues. I not only will buy again likely but I watch for the new releases. Great watch company

I bought A AVI-8 Pilot Hawker Hurricane Carey Men's Orissa Japanese Quartz Orissa Watch AV-4088-04 it is not what I expected. The size looks completely different to what it does on the picture. The picture of a man wearing the watch you'll watch itself. Looks absolutely massive. And you can see the numbers really good however, when you get the watch it is. On the small size for my eyes it is a little bit misleading. Not happy at all with the purchase. Extremely disappointed. Don't buy if you are expecting a large face. watch.

The exact dimensions of the AV-4088-04—including the case diameter, lug width, and thickness—are clearly listed in the specifications section on every product page. This is the accurate and objective way to determine a watch's size, as wrist shots are purely illustrative and will always vary depending on the wearer's wrist circumference. We have never intended to mislead, as all measurements are provided for customers to review before purchasing.

Don’t bother - spend your money on a seiko or Swiss brand.

I brought a lovely looking AVI8 Hunter Hunter watch in grey, as a daily wear watch It was a nice watch when I brought it until I happened to operate the stopwatch function, from that point the second hand on the stopwatch watch has never rest to zero, rendering the stopwatch watch function useless. It is now no good as a chronograph and can only be used as a standard watch. Impossible to get hold of the company and am now stuck with a faulty watch.
Will stick to premium Swiss brands in future, at least they are contactable when or rather on the odd occasion they do not operate correctly.

product is nice but...

product is nice - having no stateside prepaid return is a bother. If you cannot afford pre paid how about a US address for returns .

The brand for Aviation lovers

I discovered AVI-8 watches earlier this year and have already added nine to my collection. The designs are beautiful, with outstanding attention to detail and a genuine connection to World War II aviation history. They offer exceptional value for money, and every order has been delivered quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates aviation-inspired timepieces.

I have bought 7 watches from AV-8

I have bought 7 watches from AV-8. All of them have been good quality and I love that they cater to the aviation community. I own a Rolex and a Breitling, but I still wear my AV-8's on a regular basis. I love them and will continue buying from them as long as they keep making interesting subjects and keep their quality top-notch. My only complaint is they seem to run out of the best-looking models quickly and never remake them. Seems to me you would want to sell more of what people obviously want.

Wrong band? Ship it back to Hong Kong!

If I could give them a 0.....
Shipped an ordered watch to me with a tan colored band when the website and order confirmation clearly showed a gray band. They then refused any remedy except me returning the watch to Hong Kong for a refund when it was shipped to me from Utah. I did not return the watch believing they could not be trusted to refund my money.

We take all concerns about product accuracy very seriously. Upon receiving your review, we immediately revisited the images you previously provided to our support team. After thoroughly reviewing and comparing those photos against our inventory specifications under multiple lighting conditions, we have confirmed that the strap on the watch you received is indeed gray, matching the color shown on our website and your order confirmation.

That said, we completely understand that digital displays and personal perception can vary, and we never want a customer to feel dissatisfied with their purchase.

Regarding the return process—our standard policy requires returns to be sent to our fulfillment hub in Hong Kong, regardless of where the original shipment originated, as this is where our inventory and inspection teams are based. However, we recognize your concern about shipping costs and trust in the process.

As a one-time courtesy, and solely to ensure your peace of mind, we are willing to make an exception. If you still wish to return the watch, we will arrange for a local collection (or provide a prepaid domestic shipping label) so you do not have to ship it internationally. Once we receive the watch back, we will issue a full refund, even though we maintain that the correct item was delivered.

AVI - 8 Diabolical Customer Service - Avoid

The delivery company lost my watch. Luckily I paid by credit card and got my money back from them.

The customer service response from Avi-8 was dire.

The delivery company even emailed Avi-8 to confirm that they had lost my watch but Avi-8 was not interested.

I have three watches from this company, but will never ever buy from them again. I would best avoid them.

Dead Watch on Arrival, Terrible Customer Service

The watch I purchased was dead on arrival. No movement whatsoever.

What is worse, I am getting slow response times from customer support, (info@) and no resolution. I have recorded and sent TWO 10 second videos of a dead watch, which they insisted I do, and still nothing.

I did some research. The day-today operations are out of Hong Kong, and I am worried they are going to make me pay shipping for the return. Because I have weak communication with info@, I have no idea what to expect.

I've sent two emails now, 72 hours apart, with nothing in reply.

I previously bought two other watches from AVI-8, and was pleased with them. But this silliness has cost them a repeat customer. I will not purchase another. I hope I can at least get a refund.

AVI-8 is losing my money because their customer service is poor.

Disappointing Durability and Repair Experience

I’m disappointed with my experience with AVI-8. I owned the watch for only about two months and wore it exclusively during normal office use alongside my other watches. Despite that, the crown failed surprisingly easily.

I sent the watch in for repair, but it was ultimately returned unrepaired, and the quoted repair cost was higher than what it would cost to purchase a brand new watch. That was extremely difficult to justify as a customer, especially considering how little the watch had actually been used.

Based on my experience, this seems more like a weakness in the crown design than normal wear and tear or misuse. I understand that issues can happen with any watch, but I expected better durability and stronger customer support from the brand.

Overall, the experience left me very disappointed in both the product quality and the repair process.

watch for 124 eur, came with fedex customs fees + VAT at 46 eur. so total watch cost is 170 eur

The price you paid to us was 124 EUR for the watch itself; the additional 46 EUR was collected by FedEx on behalf of customs.

I just love av8 ⌚️ watches

I've had 3 strokes in the past one year. I dont go anywhere as only one arm is left working and both legs, my diaphragm, my vocal chords are all paralyzed. The point is I dont need another watch. I have plenty, including 3 from av8. That all said, these watches CALL for me. There's one called earth blue that im struggling with about buying right now. I don't need it. But I effing love it.

Frais supplémentaires, retour impossible.

Montre commandée et reçue dans les délais.
Je n'ai rien à dire sur la qualité des matériaux mais elle n'est pas comme sur les photos du site officiel.
Raison pour laquelle je souhaite la renvoyer et obtenir un remboursement....
C'est là que le problème arrive: Avi-8 indique sur son site un délais de 2 jours pour répondre à une demande de retour/remboursement mais ils font le mort depuis 15 jours.
J'imagine que le retour est au frais de l'acheteur et vu que l'adresse est à Hong-Kong...
Prix de la montre + frais de douane + TVA + frais de retour, vous payer la montre nettement plus cher que le prix annoncé sur leur site.

Edit: mail envoyé à l'adresse indiquée dans la réponse AVI-8 à mon avis TrustPilot... et bien, pas de réponse non plus.

Concernant votre retour : comme indiqué dans nos conditions, les retours pour insatisfaction liée à l’apparence (différence entre les photos et le produit réel) sont acceptés, mais les frais de retour vers notre centre de réparation à Hong Kong sont à la charge de l’acheteur. De plus, les frais de douane, TVA et autres taxes d’importation déjà payés ne sont pas remboursables. Nous comprenons que cela rend le retour financièrement peu attractif.

Purchased a "flyboy" model after…

Purchased a "flyboy" model after non-stop advertising bombardment. I had to try it.

The Good: Amazing shipping. Watch arrived within days of ordering. I wish that someone had let me know that it shipped before it arrived, but hey. The cross over between the AVI-8 people and the headquarters leaves something to be desired. AVI-8; great and responsive. Solar Time (or whatever they call themselves); crickets. Packaging is impressive. Initially, watch looked great. Build quality is better than average.

The Bad: it's a well-dressed cheap watch. The dial appears to be textured plastic! The lume advertised as "Swiss Luminova" isn't. Barely glows at all. The "distressed" look of the dial is kind of depressing (pebble grained plastic...ugh). There's a lot going on with the dial of this watch and it should be crisper. The supplied leather band is cheap with a capital C. Left a stain on my wrist after only a few hours of wear.

Summary: It's not a bad watch, but it's not a great watch either. You get a lot for the price point, just don't expect Swiss or Japanese quality. Just get yourself a real leather band first.

ATTENTION aux frais de douane

La montre ne présente pas aussi bien en terme de qualité perçue une fois au poignet (matériaux basiques, montre très légère)

Et surtout, SURTOUT le prix des montres est affiché sans frais de douanes !
Autrement dit, une fois la montre expédiée par le fabriquant, il faut payer des frais de douane !!
Un peu plus de 40e pour ma part.

Bref, au final pour le même prix, on a une vraie montre de marque, et de qualité .
