comprendiamo il suo disappunto, ma non possiamo accettare che Autovia venga definita “disonesta” o che si affermi che vengano addebitati danni approfittando dell’assenza del cliente.
Quando il veicolo viene riconsegnato senza che il cliente partecipi alla verifica finale, il controllo può essere effettuato successivamente. Eventuali nuovi danni rilevati devono però essere documentati con elementi fotografici o tecnici e ricondotti al periodo di noleggio.
Se dispone di foto o video che possano supportare la sua ricostruzione dei fatti, può inviarli a customercare@autovia.it insieme alla documentazione del noleggio, così da consentire una verifica completa del caso.
Affermare pubblicamente che una società agisce intenzionalmente in modo disonesto è un’accusa molto grave che, se priva di fondamento, può assumere carattere diffamatorio.

Extremely deceptive and unprofessional business practices
Extremely deceptive and unprofessional business practices by Autovia and Ecovia in Puglia. I paid a premium total of €700 for a 7 day rental, averaging €100 daily which included third-party (DiscoverCars) Full Coverage Insurance and a €95 one-way drop-off fee from Brindisi Airport to Bari Airport. I contractually booked a mid-tier family Compact SUV (Ford Puma). Instead, they forced us into a low-spec, stripped-down commercial passenger delivery van (Ford Tourneo) with boxy sliding doors and absolutely zero factory navigation software. Navigating an unfamiliar delivery van through a foreign country on unknown roads with no built-in dashboard maps is stressful.
Since the insurance was through the booking platform, the agent informed me at the desk that any potential damage would have to be paid out-of-pocket first and then reimbursed. However, receiving such a low-spec vehicle for premium SUV pricing is completely unacceptable.
Worse yet, out of the money paid at the desk, €160 was an itemized premium fee specifically for two child safety seats. In return, they handed us a generic black seat and a worn, completely unpadded blue plastic booster sleeve. This booster retails brand new in local Italian shops for under €15. Charging a family €160 for €30 worth of cheap, substandard plastic equipment is an outrageous and unfair overcharge for a family safety feature. Do not trust their 'upgrade' or 'similar vehicle' excuses. They pocket premium money for family SUVs and hand you rock-bottom commercial delivery vans. If you are traveling to Puglia with children, avoid Autovia and Ecovia at all costs.

we are sorry that the rental did not meet your expectations.
We would first like to clarify that reservations are made for a vehicle category, not for a guaranteed specific model such as a Ford Puma. If the booked category is unavailable, a different vehicle within the applicable category, or in some cases a higher category, may be provided. Whether the Ford Tourneo you received corresponded to the category actually booked can only be assessed from the reservation details; the absence of factory navigation alone does not determine the rental category.
Regarding the Full Coverage purchased through DiscoverCars, this is separate from Autovia’s own protection plans. With third-party broker coverage, any amount due to the rental company may first have to be paid to Autovia and then claimed back from the intermediary according to that coverage’s terms. This is the normal structure of cover purchased through external brokers, not something specific to DiscoverCars.
Child seats and boosters are optional rental accessories and their rental price is not based on the retail purchase price of the item. We do, however, understand your dissatisfaction if the condition or quality of the equipment provided did not meet your expectations.
We must also be clear that we cannot accept the description of Autovia as a “scam” or the allegation of “extortion”. Publicly accusing a company of fraudulent or extortionate conduct is a very serious allegation and, if unsupported, may be defamatory. Any dispute concerning the vehicle category or accessory charges should be assessed against the booking and rental documentation.

Smooth and professional experience at Brindisi Airport
This was my first time renting a car from Autovia, and the entire experience at Brindisi Airport was very smooth, from collecting the keys to returning the vehicle.
The staff were friendly, professional and helpful throughout the rental. Sara was especially helpful, and the staff member who assisted us when we returned the car was equally welcoming and professional.
A €900 security deposit was pre-authorised on my card when I collected the vehicle. The day after returning the car, I checked my account and the pre-authorisation was no longer showing. The process has been handled smoothly so far.
Based on my personal experience, I would happily rent from Autovia again and recommend the Brindisi Airport branch.

I got scammed by AUTOVÍA. When I arrived they insist me to pay an…
When I arrived they insist me to pay an expensive insure for eventual minor damages. I not agree. They just give me the key and the contract, nobody was there to check the car with me, when I bring back they said that a scratch was not there before, and I’m positive that was already there!! Now they pretended €800 for the damage, that casualy is the cost of the garanty deposit. I got scammed by AUTOVÍA

We understand your frustration, but we cannot accept Autovia being described as a “scam”. Any damage claim must be based on the documented condition of the vehicle and on the applicable damage assessment criteria.
At collection, the customer is asked to check the vehicle and report any damage that is not already recorded on the damage sheet. We are sorry if, in your case, you felt that no one was available to assist you with this check.
The protection offered at the desk is optional and is separate from the security deposit. The deposit is a guarantee placed on the credit card and does not automatically represent the amount due for a specific damage.
If a scratch is considered new at return, the amount must be supported by the damage documentation and the applicable assessment method. The customer also has the right to dispute the charge and request the supporting documentation.
