Very disappointed
The appointment was a half hour late because the previous appointment was a NEW customer! The practitioner gave a very unconvincing half hearted apology when I said that half an hour was a bit much she was extremely defensive and even said that she didn’t like overrunning and would be late collecting her children From school.The examination was carried out in a brusk but businesslike manner. No specific questions were directed at my wife although I was asked to bring someone close for their opinion to be sought. I gained a strong impression she was making up for lost time. The whole appointment took less than 15 minutes.
The receptionist made a valiant effort in engaging us in conversation to help cover the lateness.
It would seem to me that as a well established kcustomer of over 10 years I am considered caught and of less importance tha a new customer.

Misleading Reading!
I was very impressed with the consultant and his knowledge on the impact a loss of hearing can have on the patient. I had made the appointment based on advertising promoting hearing aid glasses which were very discreet for the person wearing them. Sadly that technology is not perfected for most of those suffering with hearing loss and age. However, the inner ear hearing aids which were promoted at the meeting are three times the cost of the hearing aids built into spectacles. This is not the fault of the consultant but the marketing company and the brand company employing them. The ad suggests the glasses aids are the same and as good as traditional hearing aids and we did not try the glasses to show that they were not suitable for my hearing loss. What I was shown and what was promoted to me were inner ear aids without the usual small box which sits on top or behind the ear and these smaller more discreet aids were unfortunately three times the price. The consultant was incredibly helpful and informative but I felt the promotional campaign is a little misleading and suggests its the answer to those of us who are very self conscious about wearing hearing aids even though the ads do say they might not be suitable to everyone with hearing loss. From what I learned that day - the glasses are very specific and limited in their ability to help those with hearing loss. It maybe I read what I was hoping for rather than what was realistic and achievable at this time!

Went for my annual check up but was amazed that nobody told me I was having new aids and had no idea and left with a bill for £4.600
I do feel this should have been explained beforehand as I did not understand that you have to change every 5 years
