Astini Omdömen 

I purchased the Astini Bollitore 4 in1 boiling hot water tap. The tap has been replaced 3 times and I have also had to buy a new boiler which came in May 25 and needs replacing again. Now the cartridge for the tap has failed and they will not replace it as it’s not covered by the warranty but this part is not available to buy, therefore I need a new tap which I have to pay for. So now they are sending a new boiler but No tap. If I purchase a new tap it will have cost me over £700 in 3 years.

Had a complaint.
Sent an email, 3 in fact. Plus photos.
No reply, not even an acknowledgement

Terrible company and obviously don't care or want to help customers

The chrome started pitting Our Astini monobloc tap levers after about 10 years, I’ve used their contact form to try and get spare levers and valves it’s now nearly a week and not even a reply, when paying £200 for a tap you do expect some sort of customer service, if I get a satisfactory reply soon I will re rate this review

Horrible tap, looks great but super poor quality. Spent over £200 on a filtered water model and broke within the first few days. After repairing it myself, for a while it works but then kept getting worse and worse. Phoned TAPS UK to get a refund, only to be told that it's down to Astini who said they can send replacement parts and I can fix it myself. After spending money on the overpriced tap and a plumber, the last thing I want to do is start DIY on a product less than 2 months old. Steer well clear of this cheap good looking crap! Shame on tapsuk too

We bought an Astini Celeste for good dollar from Taps UK in 2016. The handles promptly fell off due to lack of proper spline fittings but we stuck with it. After 18 months the warm side cartridge started leaking. That's not Astini's fault - any ceramic cartridge can fail if there is crap in the pipes. However, it proved impossible to get a replacement cartridge meaning the tap was scrap. No help from Taps UK for a replacement, and total silence from Astini direct - despite several emails and notes on their website. It seems their warranty is redundant, assuming it is impossible to claim on. Such a shame as it is a good looking tap. Added shame in that I have recommended the tap to a couple of friends who had seen ours and taken it as inspiration for their own kitchens. Avoid.

I bought a Marseilles pull out tap in black from TapsUK at a bargain price. I had it fitted to my new black sink yesterday, and I have to say I really like it. It feels good quality and looks very classy. However, and I don't know if this is Astini's fault or TapsUK, there was no hose weight in the box, and no installation instructions either. Luckily, my plumber didn't need instructions, and the hose still pulls out and retracts without a weight. Not the point though. I emailed TapsUK about this a few days ago but no response as yet. But that's a whole other review...
Back to the tap... so far, no leaks, but I did swap out the flexible tap tails provided for some SpeedFit ones, to make it easier for the plumber. I don't know enough about taps to know whether this is quality enough to last years or not, or whether it's worth the RRP, but at the moment it works and it looks good. For the money I paid, I really can't complain (notwithstanding the missing parts).

I purchased a very expensive tap by Astini through TapsUK!! Don’t bother they do not honour the, what I thought was, a great 10 year guarantee!! It’s worthless!! Opt for cheaper versions.... my has been kept immaculate but the outer steel is wearing off and the pull out broken..... I could have brought a cheaper version for a quarter of the price but opted for what I thought was a better product covered by guarantee. Looks like cheap tap from China, so be warned!!!
Update from TapsUK: they suggest I have my tap forensically tested to prove it is a manufacturing fault!!! I wasted £200 on the tap, I am not about to waste any more money on Astini! They also say the tap should last 6 months for other parts that are wear and tear!! That is against consumer rights of the product not being fit for purpose!
Disgusted with this company!!!
