I had come across their YouTube channel while searching for Music Aptitude material for 11plus. I found their videos very useful and to the point. After subscribing to the app we got access to loads of sample tests for each category of the test. My son could focus on the weak areas separately. We did face some initial glitches with the app which were resolved immediately when I reached out to Bea. I really appreciate their promptness and responsiveness.
The material is very good. My son qualified for the Music Aptitude tests for Tiffins Boys and Wilson’s school.
I highly recommend their app and videos. The app is reasonably priced in comparison to the other material and apps available online.

We had a great experience with Ashbea Music. My daughter took music aptitude test and past with flying colours (#2 out of 19) getting music place at Twyford CoE school London. The lessons were very well structured and well delivered. Also they accommodated our schedule -very flexible. Recommended!

My son completed the 8 week 11+ MAT course with Ashbea Music the summer before his test at Dame Alice Owen’s school. I cannot speak highly enough of Ash and Bea’s warm, engaged style of teaching and way of motivating the kids through what can be fairly repetitive practice! They are very genuine people and skilled at what they do. We also used the app. My son scored highly enough to gain an audition at the school; we’re very happy with how it all went.

My son Zayne joined Ashbea Music about six months before taking the Music Aptitude Test for Wilson’s Grammar School, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made!

During that time, he used their Music Aptitude Maestros app every single day. At the beginning, his scores hovered around 45/60, but by the end he was consistently scoring 55/60 — a fantastic improvement!

Over the summer holidays, Zayne entered the app’s “Streak Mode” competition, which motivated him even more. He ended up winning first place and was absolutely thrilled to receive a beautiful tablet as his prize! That experience kept his enthusiasm high all summer long.

Bea also ran weekly group classes on Zoom, diving deep into the theory and structure of the music aptitude exam. These sessions were incredibly helpful — especially the monthly mock tests, which gave Zayne valuable practice and confidence. We were even sent printable mark sheets to simulate the real exam environment — such a thoughtful touch!

My daughter absolutely loved the 8-week Music Aptitude Mastery Course from the very beginning. After the first session, she told me her cheeks were hurting because she’d been smiling and laughing so much, and I could completely see why. Ashley and Bea make all the children feel immediately comfortable in their virtual music classroom. Everyone is made to feel welcome and able to contribute their ideas without fear of getting anything “wrong.” They offer a safe space for little minds to grow into inquisitive musicians who love exploring the nature of sound. The course takes you logically through the four sections of typical music aptitude tests, building in difficulty each week, and then concluding with several revision and mock test sessions to simulate the real MAT test. My daughter loved the format and has grown so much in both confidence and ability over the 8 weeks, and we believe she’s now in a strong position to tackle the tests in the autumn. We first discovered Ashbea Music through their YouTube channel, which we’ve been watching for quite some time. The videos are some of the best we’ve come across, so when my son started lessons with Bea, he was honestly a little star-struck 😊 after following the channel for so long!

He now attends the Music Aptitude group lessons every Sunday, uses the Music Aptitude Maestros App, and has also completed the Texture Masterclass course. My 10 year old daughter had some lessons for 11+ musical aptitude tests and she was very happy with Bea. Bea is very good in communicating with children and make lessons fun and interesting for them. My daughter had 51 marks out of 55 questions in musical aptitude exam and was very happy. I would highly recommend Ashbea Music for anyone preparing for musical assessments.

The lessons with Ash have been very beneficial for preparing me for my university music production course. I did not have the option to study music technology for A Level, but my lessons with Ash equipped me with greater knowledge of sound, and by the end I had a solid portfolio to present to my university.

Highly Recommend Ashbea’s Online Piano Lessons!
My daughter started online piano lessons with Bea a year ago, and we couldn't be happier with the results! Bea has a very friendly, patient and encouraging approach, which has been perfect for our daughter. Each lesson is structured in a way that allows her to learn at her own pace without feeling rushed.

The lessons are interactive and engaging, with plenty of guidance and positive feedback. I’ve already seen a big improvement in my daughter's confidence and interest in music, which is a huge win for us! Her reading ability has significantly increased and she is now able to work out the notes in her new pieces. It’s been a wonderful experience for us and our only regret is that we had not started lessons with Ashbea Music earlier!

With their help my child got the 11th place of 20 for the Music Scholar at Twyford CofE High School.There were tested over 500 children .

We have been so lucky to come across your 11+MAT videos on YouTube that gave our daughter a deeper understanding in all the sections of the exam. We also subscribed for the app which helped her practise daily during the summer. I highly recommend this as it gives instant feedback to your child’s answers and prepares them for the real MAT exams. I could see how this extra tool gave her confidence and after a few sessions of online tuition she in fact achieved a good result to go through the second stage. Bea has been exceptionally supportive. Her expertise with the 11+ exams guided our daughter with how to prepare best and what to expect during the exam.
