I fully agree with all of the other positive reviews here. The course content, delivery and presentation style were first class.
There was a genuine enthusiasm from each of the instructors I engaged with along the way during my Day Skipper theory course.
Their knowledge, combined with the teaching method, absolutely works.

I did the day skipper course and appreciated the online video format as this allowed me to do the course at flexible times that suited me. With topics that I found more challenging, I could go back and repeat at the sections until I had consolidated the information. I feel much better prepared for the practical part of day skipper than I would have been on a five day in person course.

The videos and end of topic quizzes worked well and it was impressive how quickly the instructors would respond if I had a question about something I didn’t understand. The Monday evening seminars were informative and often really interesting. It gave a nice opportunity to meet the instructors in real life.

Overall, a really good course and definitely recommended.

Many thanks for the fantastic course. I really enjoyed it! I think your online course with videos is much better than any in-person theory course, as the videos on the boat and in the sailing environment are much more engaging than any classroom session could ever be. Also, it allows taking the lessons is a less compressed way with time to reflect and read about the subject. The mock exam provides good practice for the real one. Also, the team was always very quick to respond to any questions via the chat, and with the correction of the exam. This made a quite complicated topic easy and enjoyable to learn   -- Holger Claussen

Great videos and explanations throughout the course. Plenty of assessments and knowledge checks to consolidate your learning plus a mock exam before the final. Quick responses from the team for any doubts/questions.

Ardent makes large volumes of complicated material accessible. Their positive attitude helps student morale quite a lot. I took their prep course and then passed the exam. What more can you ask?

I just completed my Yacht Master theory course I would recommend Ardent to anyone. There informal, slightly unpolished presentation by people who know what they are talking about really worked for me. Their response to questions and exam feedback was fast and good.

Hey Ardent training - I loved the course, it was probably the best way for me to learn, as in a live classroom I'd never be able to makes notes quick enough ha ha. There was a great blend of visuals, explanation and mini tests to keep me on my toes. The team presenting were very professional and highly knowledgeable, but also funny and entertaining at points. I liked the fact most of the videos were actually on their yacht, so it felt very practical. I would highly recommend anyone considering a day skipper course to go with Ardent Training. Regards Dave

I have just successfully completed the RYA Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore Theory course with Ardent Training. Course content was through and very-well put together combining easy-to-understand text and visuals, coupled with accompanying videos. But what sets this outfit above the rest is the quality and attitude of its instructors who are always on-hand, respond to queries in seconds and provide superb advise and guidance that helps you understand things until they stick. I will recommend Ardent Training to everyone considering taking RYA courses

The training material was first class with videos of the instructors presenting and demonstrating the theory that forms the syllabus of the training course.
There are regular knowledge checks and module reviews through the course, which help to ensure that I as the candidate was fully understanding the content.
Instructors gave prompt and clear feedback on the module reviews, mock exam and final exam.
I would recommend Ardent Training to anyone looking for online RYA theory courses.

The delivery of this training through a combination of written material and video is fantastic. It allows you to learn at your own pace and the approach to communicating the key concepts was exceptional. Live support was always available and very helpful.

This course was recommended to me and I am very pleased I followed this advice. A great course, everything explained very clearly with a great choice of slide/text presentation, exercises plus extra resources and tools and helpful Q&A. Very quick response time to questions. Although they mention during working days I also got a very fast response on Saturday evening and Sunday. For distance learning you never feel you are on your own. I don't think you will find a better on-line Day Skipper theory course. Highly recommend.

Ardent Training are amazing.
From the incredible support and advice from instructors, to the course material and exams, everything was just brilliant- I would highly recommend.

This is my secord course with Ardent training and I continue to be impressed by the quality of instruction. The lessons are presented clearly and at a manageable pace unlike some on site tuition which can seem like cramming. Being able to pace yourself and go over and lessons again is very helpful. The presentation on board Mipha gives the instruction a certain authenticity, especially with real life examples as part of the learning experience.
Feedback from the instructors is quick and helpful and the regular live video events by the instructors give a "classroom/lecture" experience.
I'd recommend using Ardent for your RYA theory courses if like me you can't easily attend on site instruction. Study at a pace that suits you. The courses are not an easy option and the course assessments genuinely test your understanding. Taking and courses will definitely improve confidence, knowledge and skills.

An excellent online course with experienced sailors. Really interesting. I’m sticking with it (have abandoned an online course on the past !)
