Apex Law uses the slogan “Take the headache out of your next property purchase.” My experience could not have been further from that promise. Dealing with Apex Law created an enormous amount of unnecessary stress, frustration and headache throughout my property transaction.

The biggest disappointment was my experience dealing with Ismail, who was responsible for my case. I found the way my case was handled to be incredibly incompetent, and my interactions with him were, at times, rude, dismissive and extremely unprofessional. Communication was consistently poor, responses were slow, and getting even a basic update often required several phone calls and messages.

I was genuinely shocked by the level of service. When someone is responsible for something as important and financially significant as a property transaction, you expect them to be proactive, organised, responsive and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with Ismail was the complete opposite. Rather than having confidence that my case was being properly managed, I regularly found myself having to chase for information and push for things to be dealt with.

Trying to get an update became a headache in itself. It frequently seemed that Ismail was unavailable or on leave, or I would be told to leave another message and wait for a call back. On the occasions when I did manage to speak with him, I did not feel I was being treated with the level of professionalism or respect I would expect as a paying client.

Unfortunately, the poor customer service extended beyond Ismail. I also found my interactions with Fatima and Ann, both receptionists, to be rude and unprofessional. When a client is already frustrated because they cannot get an update on their case, being met with an unhelpful or rude attitude only makes an already stressful situation considerably worse.

The Apex Law app was also practically useless in my experience. You are encouraged to sign up so you can supposedly monitor the progress of your case, yet mine was rarely updated and provided very little useful information. There is no benefit in offering clients a case-tracking system if nobody is keeping it updated.

What frustrates me most is the sheer amount of my own time that was wasted chasing a service I was paying for. Property transactions are stressful enough without having to repeatedly call your solicitor, leave messages, chase updates and wonder whether your case is actually progressing.

I cannot emphasise enough how disappointed I was with the service I received. In my experience, the handling of my case was incompetent, communication was painfully poor, and the attitude and professionalism I encountered — particularly from Ismail — fell far below what I would expect from a professional legal firm.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Apex Law to anyone handling a property transaction, and I would never use them again. Even if they offered to handle my next transaction completely free of charge, I would go elsewhere.

For me, using Apex Law didn't take the headache out of the property transaction — they were one of the biggest headaches of the entire process.

Our experience with Apex Law during our house purchase was extremely poor and incredibly frustrating from start to finish. What should have been a straightforward transaction was delayed by approximately 4–5 weeks, largely due to the inefficiency and lack of communication from this firm.

Communication from the assigned conveyancer was either non-existent or painfully slow throughout the process, causing repeated and unnecessary delays. Our seller, our own solicitor, and the estate agent all had to chase Apex Law constantly, often multiple times a day, simply to obtain basic updates or responses.

On several occasions, emails and calls went unanswered for days at a time. When contact was eventually made, responses from the company secretary were frequently rude, dismissive, and entirely lacking in professionalism.

Even at the point of exchange contracts, when urgency and communication are critical, Apex Law remained extremely slow and almost impossible to contact. The overall handling of the transaction fell far below the standard we expected from a professional conveyancing firm.

Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid using Apex Law if you value clear communication, professionalism, and a smooth property transaction.

I honestly wish I had avoided Apex Law altogether. From start to finish, the experience was frustrating and stressful. Communication was slow, things felt disorganised, and I constantly had to chase for updates instead of being kept informed.

Their lack of urgency nearly cost me my sale, which is completely unacceptable given what you expect from a professional service. It felt like no one was really taking responsibility, and the whole process dragged on far longer than it should have.

Overall, it caused a huge amount of unnecessary stress and worry. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth or reliable service.

This was one of the most stressful professional experiences I’ve had. I never once spoke directly to the solicitor handling my case. Communication was poor throughout and our purchase took over six months with no clear justification. Responses only came when the seller was threatening to pull out. In the end, we were even asked to sign a waiver. To make matters worse, we were told that if we didn’t immediately pay the quoted fees, completion would not go ahead. Very stressful and unprofessional.

Probably the easiest sale for any estate agent, a vacant possession property with a genuine cash buyer. This became a saga with Apex Law, Pontefract. It reminded me of watching the series "Tales of the Unexpected" with a nasty twist at the end of each episode. It dragged on and on despite being told that exchange and completion were imminent. We could have lost the cash buyer. Their verification website "Verify 365" shows on Norton anti virus as a suspicious website and advises not to use, we used the estate agents office to do ours rather than risk viruses coming in. We got there in the end, but would certainly not recommend Apex Law to anyone.

Took months creating a simple document, didn’t respond to the many follow-up emails and when we ended up going with different solicitors (who got the job done in a week), ended up sending us an invoice 2.5 years later.
Paying anything for a job they didn’t do is appalling.

Don't waste people's time and money by wrongfully taking their money, and don't think that everyone will ignore you and leave them behind. Instead of opening an office to correct people's mistakes with the law, it is better to open a gambling office. This will be more efficient than opening a law office. Just think about how many people you have robbed of their rights first and how you have unfortunately provided a fraudulent service.

I strongly advise avoiding this company. Our sale is on the verge of falling through solely due to the mishandling by Katie and Ismael. If either of them is assigned to your case, consider it a major red flag.
