Via Ferrata with Altitude (Solo Traveller)

I did the Via Ferrata with Altitude activities. It was a very last minute decision. I reached lake bled in the morning and I texted them a few minutes later. The response was really quick and they shared the activities that were available.

I was rather hesitant to try at the beginning because it is my first time climbing. Matevz was very very reassuring. He did safety briefings before our trip and gave us some time to practice using the tools. He even took many many photos for us. It was so amazing because I only need to climb and try to look good.

Throughout the journey I felt very reassured and secure. I like that there are different difficulty levels. We did the easier route at the beginning and progressively did the harder ones. We were also given the chance to just stick to the easier route if we were not feeling comfortable. So that was great.

The climb was exhilarating and I never had such an experience before. The view was absolutely amazing when I look down from where I was. This is hands down the most interesting activity I have done. If I every get a chance to come to Bled I would 100% choose to try out other activities with Altitude activities.

I highly recommend it to people who wants to try something different and is looking for an adventure.

Matesz was a brilliant guide who was…

Matevz was a brilliant guide who was really responsive before the tour and was able to give good advice. During the tour he gave lots of helpful tips on mountaineering. I felt very safe and in more than capable hands. Thank you so much for a great experience and sharing so much knowledge.

Great service

We had booked an adventure with altitude that was sadly cancelled due to the weather. But they went above and beyond to still give us a great plan B!! Both the via ferrata and waterfall we visited where great and the guide was very nice to talk to. As an added bonus, he turned out to have a camera to take some great photos of our adventure. We will be coming back one day to do the other activity for sure. :)

Fabulous funny fruitful experience

The experience was amazing! We tried ice climbing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing all in the same day. The activities were well organized and scheduled. Each activity had enough time for us to enjoy. Ice climbing was our first time! It was challenging but so interesting. It felt safe to participate under the guidance of Matevž and Jernej. The views during cross-country skiing and snowshoeing were stunning. They also helped us take many photos and videos. We even had a snowball fight and built a cute snowman (snežak) together. Thank you to our guides! Awesome!

A wonderful company to experience Slovenia

We went on two great trips: Winter wonders and snowshoeing. The knowledge of the team about the area and environment meant we experienced the beauty of Slovenia.

Our guide Alex was enthusiast, knowledgeable, experienced and gave good information.

We are already thinking of returning to Slovenia in the spring or autumn to do more and see more sites. And would use Altitude again. I have already recommended them to a friend.

Amazing extreme cave diving experience!

This was an unforgettable experience! I had so much fun doing extreme cave diving, and the whole team was incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help. They made me feel safe and supported at every moment.

The cave is absolutely stunning and truly worth visiting. Rappelling down into it was insanely cool and definitely the highlight of the experience! I would 100% recommend this activity to anyone looking for adventure and something unique.

An amazing experience!

We had an amazing experience with Altitude Activities. Even though we had many questions and criteria, they really ensured to find an itinerary to cater to our every need. We also had a wonderful hike with Aleksandra - she was kind, helpful, knowledgable and accommodating. The views were amazing and the whole trip with exciting. An incredible 2 days in the mountains

An incredible 2 days in the mountains! I couldn’t have asked for anything else on our trip. The climb was challenging but we were very lucky with the weather. Matavz was a fantastic guide, and certainly one of the most knowledgeable I’ve been on a trip with! He not only safely guided us on the climb but also shared his knowledge of the area’s nature and history. I’d certainly book this trip again if I have the opportunity!

Winter Triglav Ascent

Heartfelt thanks to Matevz and Altitude Activities for the wonderful experience they gave me. Despite the many mountains I've climbed over the years, I found the winter ascent of Mount Triglav far from trivial,on the contrary, it was a challenging climb, not to be underestimated, in a fantastic yet harsh environment, just like the mountains themselves. I was fortunate to climb with fantastic companions and to have a teacher like Matevz, always ready to help and offer advice, a person who loves his job, which is a passion. Incredible trip with Altitude Activities doing a winter ascent of Triglav. One of the most beautiful adventures we have ever done. Perfect conditions.
