Alternative Brewing Omdömen

Excellent shop experience, great quality products that can be hard to find. All in all will buy from again for sure.

I've purchased several times from Alternative Brewing and they have been excellent with communication, advice and their gear is the very best.
I've even purchased a tamper that wasn't suitable for my setup and they were so helpful they swapped out the item with one of their display tampers. Legends!

AB were super efficient to purchase from, everything was delivered promptly and really well packaged. These Kruve mugs are so pretty and very nice hand-feel. Perfect for a warming cappuccino

I read a lot of reviews on this kettle before purchasing. Some reviews said it was just a good size for two people but it’s definitely big enough for 4-6 cups. It’s so easy to use and no writing on the base that can wear off like my last kettle. Easy to keep clean and super quiet. It might take a little longer to boil but it’s not an issue for us. I’ve also noticed hardly any steam comes out and I think that’s because there’s a little steam hole in the lid so it’s very gradual as opposed to heaps of steam right at the end. I wish the cord wasn’t so long as I try to hide it behind the kettle but that’s my only small issue if I had to be picky. I would highly recommend this kettle. We are using it for coffee/tea and when I need boiled water for cooking etc.

Purchased the normcore palm tamper and pure over dripper set on the 2025 EOFY sale. Super reliable coffee accessory seller, especially for those available in Australia. I had express shipping and the item came within 2 days so i was super happy.

The items themselves were fantastic and the pricing was super agreeable on the EOFY Sale.

I also really like that Alternative Brewing has a YouTube channel so I can get their reviews on certain products too.

Overall I think they are a super reliable and trustworthy site for Australian’s and I look forward to buying more from them in the future.

Love my Loveramics Bean Dosing Tray. Quick delivery to NZ.

Amazing customer service. Eureka mignon specialita grinder was a fantastic purchase. Soft and fluffy grinds with limitless grind size variations. Brilliant company to deal with.

Perfect looks great just what I was after to keep beans fresh.

Portable espresso at its finest. It demands real pressure — a proper arm effort — but rewards with a dense, silky crema that rivals countertop machines. The flavour extraction is bold and expressive, with satisfying texture and crema definition. Watching it pour into my Nespresso Pixie cup felt like a café moment, right at home.

Always my first stop when I'm looking for new coffee gear. They have a huge range, competitive prices and are passionate about what they do. Shipping prices are also really affordable too!

Products are genuine and as advertised. Straight forward quick shipping. Plenty of stock and options for purchase. Purchased a 1zpresso Q hand grinder, aeropress, and a 10 mile coffee scale. Happy with everything!

This has taken me to the next level of home coffee prep, i had no idea what dialling in was before but i do now, annoyingly now i’m thinking about flow control… i thought it’d end at a grinder!

Great range, prices and fast shipping. Loving the new V60!

I originally purchased the Flair Pro 2 from Alternative Brewing and I was struggling to get a level dose with the provided tamp on my Flair Pro 2. I purchased the Normcore spring loaded V4 tamp and it takes care of that, perfect level tamp every time giving even water flow. Also like the fact that there’s 3 different springs. I used the standard spring for awhile and now just switched to the tighter spring with great results. Perfect shots now, great flavour, no bitterness 😊

Terrible customer service. Have sent me a faulty product and keep asking for videos and other nonsense which I have provided. Finally arranging to send back after their push back, and they say they will test the item on return. Just take the faulty product back and refund. Also I just realised who this is owned by and feel disgusted that I purchased anything from them

I bought an Opal One specialised pod machine through Alternative Brewing a few weeks ago and experienced a problem with a pod getting stuck after 10 or so brew cycles. Followed all instructions but lever would not fully open and I was not confident to force it more for fear of breaking it and being stuck with the problem and a physically broken machine.

Contacted Alternative Brewing with details via email – I got a prompt polite email reply but with a request for photos, serial number and a video of the problem. Sent that and then got another fluffy polite reply now asking me for pictures of the pod used. Sent a screen shot of the exact Lavazza pods bought on Amazon.

Next, I get another detailed reply quoting the Opal importer allegedly asking me to physically poke and pry the pod loose with a metal skewer(!!?), turn it upside down, shake it… apply more pressure to the lever!!!

I said no, was not going to do all that, I didn’t want to break the machine and just want my money back. Again, polite, pointless reply and now saying they needed to speak to importer. I replied and said I bought from Alternative Brewing, I wanted to return it and get my money back as is my right with the seller under consumer law.

Again, a long, pointless reply about talking to this team and that and they’d come back to me – nothing.

$230 down the drain – be aware and very careful with Alternative Brewing and Opal One.

These guys have amazing service, really helpful and responsive. You feel almost like you're in the shop - they are so knowledgeable about coffee accessories and machines. Will always shop here for my gear in future.

Always a great experience with Alternative Brewing. Fast shipping, solid customer service, and a super reliable source for all things coffee in Australia. Can’t go wrong with these guys!
