Can't believe they haven't got one person who knows about beer ..
It's almost the worst beer I've ever tasted..
They already have a deplorable beer selection and now they've added to it ..
Good lads ...
Watch dates on products.
Aldi has definitely dropped their standards. Watch the dates on products. On the bread you can barely see the use by date. My partner purchased bread and it was green mouldy.if it's not a pain to go shopping but it is harder trying to make sure product is good.
Discounted items.
It's so frustrating! Aldi customers need to keep an eye on discounted items like meat and seafood. They slap a discount sticker on the pack, but then they charge you the full price. I've been charged full price for discounted items countless times, but I let it slide—until recently when I just couldn't take it anymore. The staff told me that customers have to inform them at checkout if they're buying anything with a discount because the checkout staff is not aware of the discounts marked on the packaging. Hellooo Aldi, it's a big red sticker on it!! What kind of ridiculous excuse is that? Cheater!!!
Rude and arrogant
Aldi in Athenry , I took my 83 year old mum there to shop , never ever again. She had a full trolly , was spending quite a bit there , and the way she was ushered through the cash register at speed was utterly appalling. She needed the trolly for support , and the male cashier was pulling her through. We ended up having to quickly throw heavy canned items on bread , eggs , tomato's etc, so not to inconvenience the cashier. My mum did not have time to place her change back in her purse as he had started ringing up the next person. He.d do better working in the cattle mart around the corner , but I think even they wld be hard pushed to employ this ignorant individual
Rude Polish Lady behind the till, Rathass Tralee
Monday 26th of August 2024 I went to Aldi in Rathass Tralee at between 7 and 8 o'clock. Polish lady behind till very rude.
She was on till 1 and when I came up to pay she roared at me to go to till 4, there were people in front of me but nobody had a lot of shopping.
She has a problem, I won't be going to Aldi again, but for their own sakes, this lady will cost them customers.
ALDI Letterkenny Ramelton Road staff…
ALDI Letterkenny Ramelton Road staff clearly have a chip on their shoulder for whatever reason (non Irish staff) the Irish staff are pleasant. I would seriously suggest you train these particular staff in the art of customer service and overall etiquette when basic manners. Horrible experience. I will not be spending my money in this business again.

If I could give a MINUS….I would.
Aldi in Ireland are appalling, in my local stores (2), the staff are unhelpful and surly.
The SpecialBuys are a waste of time, VERY few come in on time and aren’t even available on the ‘revised’ dates and when you ask the staff, they treat you as if, you’re a nuisance.
This is a German company originally, Ireland & Germany are in EU…..what’s so difficult to get things in, when they advertise them for certain dates…..THIS COMPANY HAS DETERIORATED
Just love Aldi
Just love Aldi , friendly shop assistants helpful and the range of food is unbelievable

Visited Sunday evening
Visited Sunday evening, 9 June. All tills were self service. Hate this loss of jobs particularly for those looking for jobs in the future. Reduced number of jobs for college students and young people. Both Green Party stealth tax Plastic Bottle Recycling Machines were out of order. I did buy the products I came in for but in the future, I will not be helping job cutbacks in Aldi.
3 Year Guarantee?
Bought a Rotary Tool in 08/22. It has a 3 year guarantee. After the tool stopped working last week I took it to my local Kilkenny store along with the receipt and I was given a Phone number to call.
The person on the other end said they would get back to me within 5 days by email. Yesterday I got an email stating "this guarantee is not covered by us".
I am concluding that the 3 year guarantee is non existent in Aldi.
Not pleased.

Experiencing anti-Irish sterotyping in the new ALDI in my home town
The Aldi in my town opened only a couple of months ago. I experienced unpleasant treatment that compelled me to speak to the woman managing the place. You see, contrary to my experience EVERYWHERE else, I was told I couldn't retain my shopping basket to place my purchases in to carry over to the bagging area by the window where I could make sure bags of potatoes didn't up on punnets of strawberries. The manager(ess? - do we still call them that?) denied my accusation of being profiled and said everybody was treated like that. When I said I'd been watching carefully and saw no signs of that, she said it was company policy and hoped we could still be friends. It seems that there a severe dent in Aldi's Irish profits due to the theft of shopping baskets, so she had told her staff that it was not only possible the people of my town were stealing baskets but they were PROBABLY stealing them. I pointed out to her that in fostering a victim mentality in her staff, she was setting her customers up as enemies in their eyes.
Just last week, the guy in front of me was doing exactly the same thing, putting his purchases back in his basket to carry them over to the bagging area. "See that?" Your boss told me I couldn't do that.", I said to the shopgirl. The girl said nobody can take baskets from the shop (standard, and there're floor graphics at the exit saying that) but many people do as I was ordered not to do.
Moving on, to last Saturday specifically (1 June), I had words with an Asian cashier there when I looked up from taking my wallet from my pocket and found he had opened a bag I had brought in with me and had taken it upon himself, without a single word, to search my feckin' bag. He said people are always forgetting they'd things in their bag. I pointed out to him in the strongest terms, that he had just watched me take the empty Supervalu bag from my pocket, so that BS was a lie, that their poxy shop sold only six things of interest to me and generally had only two of those in the shop, so I just had no interest in stealing their crap and that I KNEW I was being profiled and I had really come to hate their crappy shop. Now I go on a weekly shopping trip to the next town down the line, or even Castlebar, and go to that ALDI.
I realised that these people, yes, I said 'these' people had come to my home town with their disgusting sterotypes of Irishmen being thieves and criminals and, combined with the misandry of the wretch running the place, had 'othered' me in my own home. And I know 'othered'.
Bad company
Bad company. Used to work for them, company established by two brothers, ex-nazi soliders. They sell poisonous food, pay very little tax in Ireland, and destroy local business
Consistently bad shelf life on fresh…
Consistently bad shelf life on fresh products from Aldi Bayside. Bought a chicken yesterday 18 may and only noticed when I got home it had expired on May 16. Bought raspberries may 18 but I didn't notice they are out of date today 19th for 3.29 I'd expect them to be in date and not mouldy. Even berries in date don't last more than 24 hours. I bought a box last week on a Sunday and by Monday morning they were furry despite being in date and kept in the fridge.
It's a consistent problem in this store. I bought smoked salmon and cheddar cheese a few weeks ago both were beyond their dates. When I went back there was no problem changing it but the manager said he couldn't understand how that happened. I went up to get fresh replacements found 9 packets of put of date smoked salmon and 4 packets of put of date cheese. It's a reoccurring issue same wth prepared carrots and salad bags all slimy but in date clearly it's a storage and restocking issue so I won't be shopping at that branch any longer. It's very inconvenient having to check every item for the trolley and then to return items and does not inspire confidence in their products.

Had a perx credit card with €500 on it and went to Aldi to purchase garden furniture, also picked up a few bits that came to €295 , that was fine , went back the very next day to pick up some shopping, got to the counter and was served by the very same lady as the day before, I had €93 left on my perx card and my shopping had come to €150 I gave the lady my card and told her I wanted to share the payments between both the perx card and my bank card. The lady looked very unimpressed that I was troubling her by this and was tutting and throwing her eyes, she then proceeded to tell me that they do NOT take PERX cards which I had used the day before in the exact store and the exact checkout person , I told her I had only used that card the day before with her to pay for my garden furniture, she was extremely rude and would not listen to me , she embarrassed me in front of the queue of people behind me especially that she was casting her eyes up to heaven and tuting, she called a manager and he was as rude as herself and totally dismissed me and wouldn’t hear that I had used the card the day before, all the lady had to do was put the amount from the card into the till but refused as it seemed she had no interest in what I had to say
Only that I was so embarrassed by the situation I should of left my groceries there but I ended up paying with my bank card , I spent €450 in the space of 24 hours in their store and was treated so badly , I had been to Aldi in roxboro a few hours before and the staff were lovely, i definitely will NOT be returning to ALDI , no respect for customers
Very happy with Aldi usually
Very happy with Aldi. But can't find out how tocomplain about the price of washing up liquid and dishwasher capsules being twice the price of same products in UK
Avoid
Stores are picky towards who they hire, strict on requirements & even more strict on rules that even 1 mistake will make them boot you out without a care in the world.

Security driving away a regular customer.
Coolock branch such an as**hole of a guard.when it was my turn to pay at the till, the guard walked to the back of the cashier standing there watching me while the cashier scanned the items. Making me embarrassed as all the customers were looking at me. What was the point of that? That screams immigrant discrimination! This affected my mental health. I will do something about this if my mental health gets worst. I will boycott Aldi from now on. I'm a regular customer for years but got treated like sh%t.
