Cranky Old hag-ALDI Royal Canal Park Ashtown
You should get rid of that sour faced cranky CU** in Aldi Royal Canal Park. She’s an ole one, has glasses on, has noodle hair and bulgy eyes. I found it hard to see her name as there’s no name plate pinned on her blue Aldi vest. She gave out to me last week. I was in the queue already with quite a long line behind me, when I decided not to buy a certain bath foam for the kids, so I put it beside the till where customers usually leave their items when they decide not to buy them instead, isn’t that true? As soon as I put it there aside, she picked it up and said ‘ You shouldn’t have put it there, that’s for the sweets ! And the tone of her voice was really strong and sarcastic. She could see there was a long queue behind me, how could I possibly go back to where it was displayed and lose my place in the line just to return a single product ( I was in a hurry and it’s late and I needed to get home to make dinner) which for a fact would never spill all over the sweet foods or any other place? It’s a bleeding bath foam, tell me , would a foam spill and damage the packs of jellies ? The packs of liquorice sweets which were completely protected with plastic durable packaging? You tell me and correct me if I’m wrong.
I was very embarrassed as there were people around who completely seen and heard how she treated me. I just kept quiet, I wasn’t able to defend myself as I was shock that I couldn’t believe that a store staff can be that MEAN. I froze from what happened to be the most embarrassing experience I’ve ever had after all these years of doing food shopping for family. That WITCH was at till 5 that time and when I came back the following night she at till 5 again and then the latest time I shopped there was the other night and still she was assigned at till 5. ALDI Royal Canal Park, I hope you’ll take heed to a loyal customer like me. Because even if the other shops are further away from where I live, I would rather put my money there. Because at least staff are kind and polite and value the satisfaction of customers, and that we can shop happily without the presence of grumpy rude staff.
My partner broke his front tooth…
My partner broke his front tooth implant on one of Aldi bars. Straight away we got in touch with Aldi customer service. After all paper work, pictures and hard piece of caramel that was delivered to store in Longford and attached with my customer complaints form I got email that it will take 6-8 weeks to sort my case. After 8.5 weeks I start ringing to Aldi to get any updates in my case. Until now I rang customer service 4 times and each time I asked for someone to ring me back and tel me what is the status on my case. I was totally ignored by Aldi!! Nobody bothered to ring me back with any details. Today I was forced to ring Aldi and ask for address of department that is dealing with my case and I have to put my case to court because I did not receive any answer or decision in over 10 weeks of waiting. Very disappointed with the way I was treated.

I was in the store in Donegal Town on Saturday. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The young guy at checkout noticed some fruit was badly bruised which I hadn't noticed. He offered to get new ones off he went to other end of store to get fresh ones all done with a smile.
Terrible is all I can say.
Very rude
Very rude, refused my (17 y/o) sister sale of monster as she didn’t have her passport with her, I went in to buy it myself (I am 22) and was called out infront of a queue of people and told she would not serve me
Ridiculous behaviour
Re: Aldi dirt caked blue baskets!
Re: the Aldi store on Ashe road, Waterford. Every week or so I visit this store to get some items.
Every time I have visited the store and use one of the blue baskets, they sre literally disgusting!. I do not mean rubbish left by a previous customer, but ground in filth!.
Last time was just last week.
I arrived and waited for an elderly Lady to get her blue basket, she made several attempts to find a clean basket and then she had to clean it with the cleaning liquid provided by Aldi. She cleaned off the handle and tipped up the basket to show me the inner base, which was literally caked in some sort of gunk!.
I thought to myself, surely there is a cleaner one in the bunch. I went through 7 baskets, to find just one that was suitable for the fresh produce I was about to purchase, though it was very far from clean!.
Surely a staff member could go across to the hire centre (5 minute walk) and hire a pressure washer!.
It would take one person about 1/2 a day, once every few weeks to pressure wash the baskets and return them to some kind of cleanliness.
Especially in view of the fact that the counry is under Covid-19 lock down!.
come on enough is enough
the store does not have enough cosmetics products its very basic and cheap i think the store needs an upgrade ASAP.
I have been getting food delivered
I have been getting food delivered. I am very disappointed. I've been charged extra for certain goods on a number of occassions. Also they are providing me with meat at times which best before is the next day. I won't be dealing with them again.

I do my shopping in aldi carrick on shannon I was doing my shopping this morning as I do there was 4 people with no masks donning their shopping and one of the staff on the floor was just talking to him as a friend I couldn't wait to get out of the shop as I have heart problems why didn't anyone say anything
Exemption from face coverings
I am unable to wear face coverings due to past experiences, which were no fault of mine, im perfectly healthy thank God' and i try very much in my daily life to keep myself from getting distressed.
My recent visit to an Aldis shop was such a positive experience, first of all to see a poster on their front entrance ,supporting people like myself that cannot wear face coverings ,i felt so overjoyed and at peace and safe entering their shop, feeling assured by those words on the poster ,asking people to be understanding of those who cannot wear face masks.
Thankyou to all Aldi staff' for emphatizing with genuine customers who have encounterd bad experiences with some shops.

Can anyone advise me on Aldi's Store…
Can anyone advise me on Aldi's Store policy with regard to the enforcement of customers wearing of face masks.
I shop in the Cahir branch, where they previously employed Staff on the door to regulate the use of p.p.e upon entry, but the use of door staff in this latest lockdown has been discontinued.
My concerns arise from the fact that on a recent visit to this Store I encountered 6 of the 19 shoppers I counted on the premises not even in possession of masks whatsoever, and that this went unchallenged throughout the time I observed their presence in the Store.
I rang Aldi Ireland earlier today and spoke to Customer Services, and the response was very vague on the Company policy regarding this Store.Firstly it was stated that Staff cannot enforce mask wearing, and indeed nor do I personally think they should be put in that position, and secondly, it was not known why previously the Company saw fit to employ Door staff at this Store when in this more severe and drastic lockdown it does not.Can someone who represents Aldi management in Ireland please respond as to how I could personally witness an over 30% non compliance of Govt. advice on this occasion, rather than have me contact a UK email address in order to ally my fears of using this Aldi as a trusted and safe environment to shop in during this time.
Friendly and Professional approach !
Several month ego I was looking for a dryer in Aldi ( Newlands Cross ). I could not find it there, so I asked the staff... Item was not available. But the Aldi guy, instead of "I do not know", or "you have to check in other store too" etc. offered me to check for me, in which Aldi store that item was available. Within 5/6 min my "problem" was solved - I knew in which store I could find it. Very nice and professional approach. As an ex salesman - I really appreciated it.
'HELLO. IS IT HEAT YOUR LOOKING FOR?'
I'm not one for burning bridges, but if I were BURN and GLOW Briquettes would light my fire.... every time. Whilst I initially bought these in error thinking they were firelighters the mind of a mere mortal could not grasp my excitement levels upon making my discovery. One had grown weary of traditional common or garden briquettes as one does a drab lover..
Little known 'FUN' fact about BURN and GLOW briquettes, they were the inspiration for Lionel Richie's 1983 Grammy nominated 'All Night Long'
With a density of governmental proportions, BURN and GLOW are Guaranteed to last longer than your eager to please boyfriend.

I like many more people in Ireland go…
I like many more people in Ireland go to Aldi to do the shopping and I buy fruit every week but it has got to the point now where I just will not buy any more fruit from Aldi with the exception of maybe apples when I buy bananas easy peel satsumas strawberries and other fruits they seem to last no longer than 2 or 3 days then they started going off if they have not already gone off when I buy fruit which I do now from Tesco's they seem to last 3 maybe 4 times longer than Aldi's fruit I don't know why this is but I'm fed up now of wasting money on buying fruit from Aldi and having to keep checking them because it goes bad so quickly I was in Aldi store one day and I had to tell one of the assistance that they need to remove almost all of the easy peel satsumas because almost everyone was infected with mould and they was rotten I should not have to tell Aldi to remove fruits because they are so rotten they should already know this by inspecting them regular I will carry on doing my shopping at Aldi that will never change but when it comes to fruit I will buy my fruit now elsewhere but never Again buy fruit from Aldi they really need to look at their suppliers and why their fruit goes off so quickly
Aldi Athlone Terrible Store
I have been a regular customer of Aldi Athlone for the past few years with no significant complaints. However over the past few months this store has deteriorated rapidly in terms of management and cleanliness and Covid regulations. My visit to the Athlone store on 15/10/20 made me very angry. Firstly there is never enough of the smaller trollies available at any time. I managed to get the last one last night but in closer inspection it was rusted and filthy and definitely had spent some time in the river Shannon. The traffic light system seems permanently on green with zero real monitoring of numbers of people entering store and no space for social distancing inside. When I tried to disinfect my rusted trolley there was very little disinfectant left in bottle and the bin for used cleaning towels was overflowing onto a dirty floor. I proceeded to try and shop but it was difficult to avoid focusing on the dirty floors and very obvious lack of proper store management. While I exited store there is a very limited ramp area to negotiate your trolley without pushing it out of control in front of oncoming traffic. The staff work hard and are always friendly and efficient. I will not visit this store again until there is a significant improvement in cleanliness, management and proper adherence to Covid 19 guidelines. ALDI PLEASE TAKE NOTE, this could be a great store in a busy town.
Extremely cheap BUT not a great…
Extremely cheap BUT not a great employer
Works with a skeleton staff . Rather pay that much more and see more people employed and looking happy in their job.
